I knew these forums were too damn civil lately. And I also knew Xia would be involved somehow in changing that. [e digicons]:digichet:[/e] P.S. - Just jerkin' your chain. It's gonna get even more lively when beta comes out, hurrah!

I think we'll need to rely on the mod community to implement dungeons in FE Heavenfall!
Those are some serious choke points. Question - if locked in by another faction's ZOC, what was the mechanic decided in FE to pass through their ZOC? For example in WOM, big bad arse AI faction wants to kill me but can't pass through wussy AI's ZOC to get to me. I think I remember something about rights of passage being discussed awhile ago. Just concerned the AI will get "ZOC-locked" and gimp their roll. Peace out, homies. Booyaa!
We need a /dance in FE please. The Stardock Salsa or something similar.
I want a new drug (FE)...
Sounds like a plan!
Who is Huey Lewis?
Jon, did you get her phone number?
Any ideas I have are stupid!

How did he get 556 dodge? The stat is way off from the others which is why I'm asking.
Awesome.
Hmm, possible solutions: Pioneer is agile - quick movement points, can easily flee battles if attacked (MOM settlers could flee and survive battles fairly easily. I remember some instances of attacking settlers, enemy leader casting some damage spells, and then fleeing. Sometimes the settler would surive turn after turn). AI in MOM would not escort. Pioneer is invisible unless enemy unit in adjacent square Pioneer recalcs waypoints each turn to asess th
If the AI isn't smart enough to know whether a quest is too difficult, doesn't that potentially mean the AI could end up with a bunch of negative trait champions (which is probably better than dead champions but still...)? I do like the idea of negative traits but worry the AI could be hamstrung...
How about a ransom and if accepted, a negative trait? Persons of importance could be captured instead of outright killed, ransomed based upon some calculation of their worth (XP, items, etc.), and if the ransom is refused, executed? [Edit] Let me clarify further: If a champion reaches 0 hp in a tactical battle and his/her side wins, he/she doesn't die but instead needs to take a random negative trait and/or stat reduction such as -1 to constituion or something similar. Yup, looking good.

Is FE giving us cancer a promise or intention? [e digicons]:andrew:[/e]
[quote quoting="post"] Derek is currently putting the first FE build of the AI (first build I've checked in) through its paces. It's a 3 person game, tiny map. We'll see how it goes. As the 0.26 version makes clear, the AI is about 25% done. I'd put the odds of him winning at about 50/50. The AI is still pretty piss poor compared to what it'll eventually be. Yeah, the city militia thing has me intrigued.
I do like how the rivers are flowing into the lake. I wonder if you can have rivers through forest...
