There are many more improvments to be made - to outposts, to summoned units, more different city choices, maybe some flying transport
Swords are best because having a shield means more defense/dodge and you're basically invulnerable. Bows are still useless. No analysis for staff of souls ? :)
I am against making heroes even more overpowered. Last game I soloed everything with my custom sovereign, without needing any other units. It was boring.

There are no high-level monsters - a custom sovereign is simply invulnerable at high levels.

So a buffed sovereign with the crown of Procipinee is the ultimate game unit. I wonder if such a sovereign can be actually killed by trained units - any trained units.
I've had random behaviour in 0.952 - reloaded many times to see the differences. The same city was left alone by monsters or became a lightning rod for the wildlands fauna. Back to custom races and shielding the city wth units having the master scouts ability - that actually worked.

Same for me - the assasins blade quest does not finish.
The quest is still bugged - nothing happens when you kill the 3 targets and return to the stone ring. Worse, new quests do not start.
Golems are useless in the endgame, because they cannot equip magic armor. There is no upgraded version of golem like the obsidian one - basically one needs to design a unit with high defense and a simple weapon like the boar spear or - even better - one with elemental damage. A few levels later and this normal unit can kill high level heroes without gear - the AI tends to leave them quite naked. I used im my game as Gilden a single unit model - armored horsemen. I think I lost one uni
Right now champions/sovereigns are overpowered, being able to kill whole groups without a scratch., for example Magnar wiping 5 Iron Golems by himself. It's Elemental deja vu, one champion with the 5000 gold sword and the magical plate armor murdering everything by himself.
Tarth is the best at pioneer spam , because of the master scouts trait, but they need better endgame unique weapons - one obsidian golem is wiping a whole bunch of archers. The slave units concept is also pretty cool, but IMHO the factions are still too similar. I managed to crawl back into the game by saving and reloading - sometimes the end turn bug is absent.
