I voted fair, because no matter what I cannot end turn at some point after turn 200 - and I started several games that "ended" forcefully. Pioneer spam is also annoying me. A good step was making the factions a little bit unique. Please fix the end turn bug - I've spent a whole weekend being unable to fully enjoy the game, and my pewter elemental dragon is sad :)

I voted fair - the game crashed, videocard stopped working and after a few seconds I've noticed a reset. But that's ok for a beta. My main problems are too few diversity in terms of advantages/disadvantages ( units, abilities, techs, equipment ), too few summoning spells and so on. I want to play Pariden as a nation of mages that have unique spells, unique techs, strongest magical equipment - I want them as different as thalans in Gal Civ 2 Ultimate. One ex
After I conquered the outpost ( got the victory message and color change ) , the army vanished ( the previous army remained visible like nothing happened - old crest and all, while the outpost was added to my city list but I am unable to interact with it ). Is the save file salvageable ? Save file http://dl.dropbox.com/u/19182947/bug.EleSav LE. Reloading for the second time seemed to do the trick - now the
I've noticed the heirs ( in some games half of them actually ) keep aligning themselves with other - far weaker - factions. Is that a balance issue ?
. it is great to have a Dev/Publisher that is so communicative, you get a load of trolls with that, but it is at least refreshing.
I'm sure it's better to have trolls who pay than polite people who don't care :)
I will wait for a few more patches and for the pricepoint to lower a bit.
Actually you will have to pay for book 2.
Hello Everyone! Just a thought, as I found the "science of adventuring" (adventurology?) to be rather obtuse and unintuitive.
The game needs more content - not less, and in this particular case the rewards need to be far higher. As it stands now, the only logical research path is towards Lord Hammer and Vigilant Minion for the Empire faction only.
AoW SM was better - a building for high-level-towns was a teleporting gate.
Give us a flying dragon. Signed [e digicons][/e]
It was ridiculous.
It can be even more ridiculous - just imbue champions and keep spamming vigilant minions = even faster arcane doom wipeout.
In no particular order - m ore ranged attacks - different movement speed for different units ( a peasant should be faster than an armored knights without a horse ) - introduce bonuses for different weapons types ( a pikeman should be able to defend against a knight, crossbows have bonuses against armor, a cavalry archer can be used to kill most non-ranged infantry ) - combat spells should be relevant ( add some spell-induced terrain changes
Empire civs get multiple gold mines from research.
Not to mention that champions and the monsters form the diplomacy tree require only gold to recruit.
I try to play Kraxis from time to time - but there is no flavor, no "evil" choices available. At least I can have a human dinasty with the kingdoms not some half-orc champions. The fallen need some special abilities badly, for example "scale skin" that adds to armor, or "flesh eater" that destroys a town and heals/adds to maximum hp and so on.
At the moment the Empire faction is almost a carbon copy of the Kingdom faction. I remember an early dev journal - we were promised sage units and powerful champions, and we ended up with a few different spells and different names for troops and buildings ( sions are a joke right now ) . A mix of powerful sions with relevant special abilities leading cheap/weak units would give this game some flavor.
Spells are mostly useless at the moment - exceptions are raise/lower land, teleport, brilliance and nature's bounty, and a few summoned creatures because you can spam them with imbued champions.
First hit worked in Age of Wonders because of the other factors around it. Units could move much more than two squares so it was difficult to ensure you got first hit all the time. Special abilities would be good and also to make sense of the weapon/damage types.
It seems they run out of money at some point - that means limited special abilities, no flying units ( I remember AoW 1 where dragons and airships ruled vers
Also more special abilities, war machines ( not only the catapult ) and better quest rewards.
Essentially, we can keep updating different areas of Elemental as long as there's interest from the community.
Well, I purchased the LE 3 days ago and I'm interested in seeing more content. You may add that levitating channeler from the intro :)
Empires are better - Arcane Doom on your demon FTW.
Animate Ruins from AoW SM. The fact that you can conquer a city from other faction without revolt seems broken as well.
decrease AI priority.
Not to mention the improved AI won't work if game mechanics are changed.
Just new content - because IMHO that's the main problem. I only hope it will be meaningful instead of a stat increase.
A wonder they even read their own forums anymore.
The CEO is also the owner - that can be a good motivation to start with.
I'm sincerely hoping SD will create actual DIFFERENT races ... like Twilight of the Arnor or AoW:SM
My guess would be Book 3. A small team creating their own engine while dreaming big can only do so much. I would have preferred less tech trees, more special units/abilities/buildings different for each kingdom/empire, less spell levels with more interesting spells - like change land in order to create new random resources and so
