They definitely see it here.
Yes, they do. After reading Midn8t's post, I decided to stop being lame and figure out to do this . I had to stop playing for awhile---that was the hard part but then-- I sent in a debug file & a saved game. Not only did I get a response within the hour---I also got a solution. I thought that was pretty cool. thanks Stardock!
I have not read George RR Martin so any possible reference should be coincidence. Do you mind to share?
I wasn't sure if it was either--it has been awhile since I've read him. The series is called A Song of Fire & Ice . The first book is called A Game of Thrones. If you have read Tolkein or Jordan, you'll enjoy this as well. The series has a definite E

LMAO! [e digicons]k1[/e] WS----perchance a George RR Martin reference?
Thank you! http://dl.dropbox.com/u/16468196/AutoSave.EleSav This one went 50+ turns before locking up. Coincidence? Or are you guys that fast? Thanks for the quick response!
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/16468196/Elemental/a1.EleSav Game locks about every 10 turns or so. Task manager says Elemental not responding.
you could upload them here on the forums
Sounds good. Uh, how do I do that? Advanced apologies for noobness [e digicons]:(O[/e] Never mind---think I got it.
This is madness every women I know loves to wear boots.
ROFL--agree! my wife has pairs she hasn't worn yet keeps buying them!
and this generally reflects my two main priorities
Those are my priorities as well. I used to try and balance across the board using the aforementioned priorities. Now, I focus on Civ & Warfare. Current game with kingdom/approx turn 220 balance is: Civ 23 War 11 Magic 9 D 7 A 4 I was trying to get cities to lvl 5 with minimal actual housing using the housing bonus--doesn't seem to be working.
8 Turns?? You clearly don't have the game on Epic.
Never tried it---is that a faster or slower rate?
I'm also playing a game where I'm in a peninsula.
Similar for me. I have 7 cities & I am the top faction but Yithril somehow has more powerful units so while I am not in danger of attack, I cannot effectively kill this faction that prevents me from breaking out into the open. I'll eventually do so I think--it's just going to be a longer process. Food is abundant but gold is scare---I have about an 11 per turn income. It seems to me that if I rank 1 or 2 on the facti
Any chance you have a separate save game for earlier in the game, in case you'd like to go back and try something different?
Yes, I agree. I always have one of those. This is very helpful in the event that you get steam rolled. Good suggestions tjashen. I hadn't thought of creating a land bridge. I'm not much of a terraformer. If you can have familiars summon familiars, you can also build an army to supplement your Sov/Heroes/existing units. It will cost you mana but no
If you look in the bottom left half of the info panel, you can see what your city is currently producing. This comes up when the screen does.
Most of the time-- if you run into a situation where another faction is trying to contact you, you get another spell etc.(i'm not sure exactly what combo of things cause this) that info doesn't seem to be there--at least in my experience.
I'm in a similar situation---boxed in. Warfare not an issue for me because I haven't found my magical groove yet. I'm fighting to stay ahead so I don't get attacked. I only have one gold mine & $$ is tight. I hear the market improvement does nothing. I usually play with Umber, too. I do love the darklings. I guess I'll see how this plays out later tonight.
Agree. This would be helpful. Most times I do have that info but every now and then I don't have that crucial info.
Screw the west coast, I love Hawaii!
I found it too hot.. but if a man were to be alone, let him look at the stars. The rays that come from those heavenly worlds, will separate him and what he touches.... or are you more inclined toward Thoreau?
Thanks for reading,
Ha! My post was long?? lol--thanks for the detailed explanation---great stuff!
crowbraid pours himself a generous mug of Guinness, decks out a plate with cheese, Gallo salami, and crackers, then sits down in a lounge chair to watch the game. Should be interesting.
Ah, that sounds frackin good. You're going to actually watch that game? Can you tell me how to do that?
suggestions: reduce or remove gold maint from some buildings. i really don't see why i need to pay to maintain a wall. for me the cost in that should come from the research and construction itself
¡ A huevo! means I agree or in more colloquial terms 'f-ing-a right/damn straight/word to your mutha!
I have had 3 games in row stall due to a lack of food.
Strange---what are your sov's traits at the start? I always use green thumb and then build first city on a farm resource--from there it is not usually an issue. new version requires food to build settlement...whereas before you didn't need.
If you are only generating 6 mana a turn, and 4 mana is tied up with summoned creatures, that reduces your mana regeneration rate significantly
agree--I miss them too. As the game stands, I use creatures but only for specific battles where I might lack the power to defeat an opponent. For me the creatures just run interference while other units do the killing---I don't use them for extended periods of time--too much mana cost.
Perhaps if food wasn't such a limiting resource, we wouldn't be having this conversation. The current beta build is completely unenjoyable due to the need to literally count beans.
bean counting only in beginning imo--once you get rolling it isn't that much of an issue... check out the post below--this guy seems to have NO issues with ANY resource. <a id="ctl00__Content__RepeaterGroupedPosts_ctl00__PostTitle" title="Late
a man can dream right?
Perchance to dream....yes, I agree. i'd love to see that. As it is, I RARELY even research seafaring. If you capture a city that has it, you can build the units---at least for now anyway.
After finally loading the game, it took me awhile to get over the initial excitement of seeing what you set up. I spent time just looking around. Right now, I can't decide if I want comment on it or go back and play. Impressive work--thank you for making me feel inadequate [e digicons];P[/e] Seriously, I have a much different perspective of possible game play. So, you purposely kept all AI's alive, all quests and achieved that?? I love the sov & faction--especially the city keepers &
