[quote who="FrenziedFan" reply="177" id="3136832"]Let us, the community, shoot down other bad suggestions and comments. I realize that you are probably frustrated over the fact that you work your ass of every day to make this game better and it still doesnt increase the game to a level where everyone is happy about how the game is progressing or how fast its progressing. However, you come across as super defensive, arrogant and unprofessional when posting things like "Then why not do both you

You could also leave their cost the same and have a cost associated with settling a new, city or making an outpost--gold+materials. I also think new settlements and outposts need to have a construction time. They should be major investments and it should take a little time for the them to take root
The Beta requires an internet connection. Something to do with automatic bug upload? I was wondering if it was possible to circumvent it though, as I would like to play on my train ride commute via my laptop.

I really want to play with auto-turn turned on, because it would speed up the pace of the game, but I can't because: Pioneers at the end of their movement can still create a settlement or an outpost. However with auto-turn on, this doesn't happen until the next turn. Your heros can still perform actions at the end of their movement, such as trade items or visit the shop. Its way too easy to forget to build something in a city tha
I played on challenging. I like the levelling up system and experience gained at the moment. I don't think this is the issue. I think the weapons and armor that you get from exploring/quests can be a bit over powered at times. Maybe I just got lucky, but I would get very powerful weapons and armor and it just seemed to make it easy to kill anything. For example the bow from the maiden quest, plus some gauntlets that gave me +6 attack, creamed
I love the foundation of FE so far and I think all the work that's been done lately is a huge step in the right direction. For me, the biggest issue I have with the Beta at the moment is the lack of challenges, and I hope/think that this may be just a balance issue. For example: We get super powerful weapons and armor just by exploring, long before we even unlock simple weapons/magic items in the tech tree. Quests shou
I've had a few battle where my army doesn't seem to receive any experience. It seems to occur when I have 2 or more champions/units fighting a group of high level monsters. I have a screen shot, but my dog ate it. Actually its on my other computer. Let me know if you need it.
I've had this happen in quite a few battles. It seems to happen more often when there are lots of units on the battle field.
Overall, I think the game is going in the right direction. It just needs more polish and balance. I think champions are way OP. I've played two games so far and my sovereign pretty much was a wrecking tank that just mowed down every monster and every city. I had a few other champions as well that could single-handedly take out pretty much anything, especially with a few buffs (maybe I had too many shards). I had two mid-level champions that cleared
Cool. Makes me want to buy it. Oh wait, I already have it :)
holy geekspeak batman
I don't think there are any low-level quests available, only the ones that can be unlocked with technology.
Oh thanks. I was looking for an experience bar on the Unit View Screen. I'll take a look when I get home. Does the number of monsters affect XP? I fought a big army with 2 champions, and I was surprised no one leveled up. Anyway, I'll take a look at the numbers from now on, now that I know where to find them. Cheers.
I have a champion that has two books that give +1 strength. Clicking on the player it has the number 2 over the book. I trade one of the books to another champion. I click on each of the champions and it shows that they both have 2 books. I can still only use 1, so its not a big deal, just a display issue.
I really don't get how experience works now. It would be better if it was clear to the player how much experience champions currently have and how much they need for their next level. It would also be nice to see how much experience each champion gets from a battle. As it is now, I feel like there is something wrong with the way it is working, but I have no way to prove that, as we can't see actual numbers.
Clicking on the splash screen crashes the game for me. Also is there something wrong with poison? Seems to hit more than once between turns.
The problem is that there are buildings in FE that give you bonuses if your cities aren't producing anything. Frogboy has said that he would like to have more of these as well: https://forums.elementalgame.com/418154
Its not a mental check list, there is a notification on the side that tells you the production queue is empty. Anyway, I'm fine with having options for this, but I don't want it mandatory that annoying pop ups occur every end turn. There were enough annoying pop ups in .77. We need less of this. If people want to to tick something in their configuration settings that says give me lots of annoying popups, then fine.
I always wondered why sometimes resource improvements were in the queue and not others. I always thought it was related to the type of resource. I guess I never fully fleshed it out...
I disagree, you need to pay attention to these things. Thats why it is a strategy game. If I got a popup at the end of every autoturn becuase I hadn't set something in my build queue - now that would piss me off. Particularly if I don't want to build something. Strategy gaming is about paying attention to details, not holding your hand through every aspect of the game.
Maybe they can make a quick .86 build to fix this?
Grr, was hoping to put it on my laptop before I got on the train for work... Looks like I'll have to wait until after [e digicons]:'([/e]
Razing a city makes its zoc barren so a new city cant be founded there Interesting... I'm not sure about this. Guess I'll have to play and see. All in all, looks very good.
very cool
