I suspect my starter sovereign (one of the presets) was too powerful.
nope. the "AI" is just riddled with flaws.

yeah, noticed that bug a long time ago. just think of them as your children. i never bothered to reported it because i figured there were far worse things for the designers to work on than birth control. who are they to tell me i can only have 4 children?
meh. gotta get my fifty bucks outta this game somehow.
that'll learn 'em...
are you married to one of those ralines? because i am married to lady sculla, and i am constantly finding Baby(baby on the card, full size in tacbat) lady scullas that eventually grow up with different bodies, as if they were our children...
you take life too seriously. maybe you should try scented candles...
No. Otherwise it would have been "Labor Day Patch Notes."
oh, now it makes sense. they called it "labor day notes" because they released the notes on labor day...oh wait...no they didnt. [e digicons]o_O[/e]
with essence at a premium? lol. sillee.
i just said that.
the monsters are supposed to be a real threat that needs to be dealt with. do you think monsters care that you have settled somewhere? ofc not! they see your cities as a buffet! leave it as is. if you don't want to hunt them, don't. just leave a small army in all of your towns (which you should do anyway: WAR of magic)
are you using a custom sovereign? if so, did you select any of the books of magic? (fire, ice, air, earth) if not then you have access to the kingdom/empire spells only. that is the only other cause I can think of.
i wouldn't mind a more expensive version to teleport to uncontrolled or allied territory.
please direct your (and everyone elses) attention here: https://forums.elementalgame.com/393173 you simply cannot perform the next attack before the first animation completes, and the animations are longer than they look.
I dare you to start a post asking for where the next patch is.
done https://forums.elementalgame.com/395762
Like I would ever refuse a dare. :P
Also, it wouldn't hurt if one or two of my dare-i-say brilliant ideas that I have scattered around the forums eventually made it into the game.
they will always be in the game of my heart...
no friggin way. it is way too painstakingly slow to get around in this game. leave teleport alone or add railroads.
hit the little arrow at the corner of the righthand page...
there are just two different versions of the spell. 1 good, 1 evil. he is being given the chance to learn the one he didnt start with because he found a book that allowed him to do so. simple?
cool new weapons = great cool new armor = or > awesome anyone working on that? I would. but i is we-todd-ed
so did anyone else think that "labor day notes" meant we would have a new patch by labor day?
It's by design, more of an arbitrary balancing measure to make sure units don't prance around the battlefield - if it only cost 1, a unit with 6 moves could move 6 tiles per turn, which is a huge amount considering the overall size of the map.
its by design that my children are born unable to walk (or ride a horse apparantly) because of a horrible limp caused by some post apocalyptic birth defect? that is sort of sick..
There should always be a low level hero with a mounted troop patrolling any roads through woodlands. Great source of xp and gold.
yeah, except that doesnt work. i have a band of heros patrolling the woods around all of my cities (like you said, great way to make cash), but caravans still turn into meals on wheels.
1 caravan per city. you just send it to another city and it will build a road between the two that provides a food bonus based on distance between the cities. the roads can be used by units to decrease move speed between cities. note that overly complex routes do not seem to work (e.g. if the caravan has to make a lot of sharp turns to go around bodies of water.) also: caravans are food for monsters. they travel back and forth between cities automaticly on
which btw means that you generally have to sacrifice a turn of movement just to cast a single spell...
