whats really weird is that one of my kids can only move 1 square despite the fact that he has 3 action points...
are you sure it wasn't in a different game where you were playing kingdom then empire? Because Empire starts with imbue champion but has to learn teleport. Kingdom is the other way around..They start with teleprot but have to learn imbue champion
false. kingdom starts with imbue AND teleport. kingdom ftw
lack of documentation was one of the top reasons this game got bashed at release. ( one of the top reasons) oddly this is one aspect that has recieved almost no attention, even though in theory it should be the easiest to address... I suppose the reason they are not releasing any documentation is that they forsee major changes in the near future and do not want to have to keep updating their "elementalpedia" ever week or tw
i do like the idea of ransoming champions (big money if you catch a princess!).
i believe in this enough to bump it.
If you get a wolf hide for every wolf, a spider egg for each spider and so on, this could be the basis for many quests. Or you could just sell them in the cities. After you sell 10 wolf hides to a store some new clothing could emerge for sale. Even better if its troll hides
that would make hunting critters even more tedious than it already is. for all of you "it has to be realistic when i kill the
Ah another angry person... May i remember you that it's a discussion forum so you can keep your stupid statements for yourself. Thx kid.
lol. was just making a suggestion. as in "if you don't like this style of game, go play something else". like "if you don't like first person shooters, go play tetris" or "if you don't like a game that blends adventure with civilization building, go play
hunting monsters is part of the game...albeit a tedious and repetitive part at present. it is like you people are saying, "I don't see why I have to use the 'fire' button just because this is a first person shooter." just like in the days of Final Fantasy or Dragon Warrior(as well as even earlier games of the fantasy/rpg genre). Killing monsters is THE way to make money. except now you get to build a kingdom too! deal with it or go play
damit. i got beaten to all the good jokes. :(
sorry chief. we have every right to be angry and to have our angry posts deleted by forum mods. I have been a loser...er, gamer... for decades and I am really getting tired of the state of games at release the last few years. the fact is that a decade ago if you bought a game it worked(even if it sucked). i realize that a game's internal organs are infinitely more complex these days, but that is no excuse. don't use complicated graphics if you can't do it r
Not all monster types should carry coin. Humanoid monsters I'd be fine with, but wolves and what not, should not be able to carry coin at all.
wolves and what not are not "carrying" coin, rather you are given an amount of gold equal to the value of their hides. the creature descriptions occasionally describe this... edit: i think it is really funny that this "discussion" has c
boo to that. monsters are the only way to get the massive amount of gold needed to properly outfit champions, and even constant monster hunting is not enough to get more than mediocre stuff. But an improved city economy would be GREAT. taxes? anyone? if you want to live in my nice city rather than out in the dangerous wilderness then you have to pay TAXES! how hard is that? 1 gold per 25 citizens s
@ilindil - not that your statement isn't true BUT it had nothing to do with what i was saying....
Every tactical battle with hero, involved on wrong side, end with his/her death. I think it is not wise. Champions are too valuable to just kill them.
what i was saying was that the op is just flat out wrong and no one had thought to mention that fact.
sexy would be cool. but anything that makes the appearance of troops less bland = good.
would be very nice, but it is not on my wishlist for the next update. there are simply too many game crushing things that need fixed first. having the ability to select who leads a party would be nice. but you can resolve some of these issues by simply having your casters/children fight enemies solo (or as a group of casters) so that they are 1 level higher than the rest of your troops (it really doesnt take much time to do this as long as you are not too far into the game
i set amount based around your already established cities? that i can live with. where did you get that info?
techs that reveal resources seem to only produce new resources near towns you have already established. this is...stupid. it means that researching them early is counterproductive. that in order to really benefit you should only research them once you have run out of room to expand. why should someone be penalized for researching something quickly? my first round i research the food reveal tech. At first i thought it was great! both my cities had an ex
our at least make auto resolve not use mana. or both. both would be great.
ya'll are aware that champions already have the option of retreat...right?
the most recent game i started placed me VERY far away from any sort of action. i tried to remedy this by sending a caravan, but no love. even WITH organized this walk takes me several turns from my outermost settlement. then i still have several more turns to get through the territorry of my ally to get to the guy i want to kill. sure, i could build an outpost in useless territory, use a channeler to teleport troops there, and have my sovereign ferry
sort of silly to say that an archer can shoot through a square but not at a target in that same square. shortening the range of bows would be a lot more realistic and just as effective. (the archers would lose the same number of effective squares) giving melee units greater mobility would be equally effective. not that i agree it should be changed, just that it makes more sense. I like archers as they are, simply because there is no other way to deal with creat
i decided not to play this game anymore unless they implement an option to turn off animations. SOOOOOOooooOOoOOOOOo tedious! 1.08 better address this!
i logged on just to say : tl/dr
placing the bow icon over the enemy shows the "not enough action points" icon. attacking anyway results in the following: archer units step forward as if they were about to make a melee attack, goes through the attack animation, and then fires nothing but air. champions simply move towards the target square. reload does not solve the problem. I hope to hear something soon, because the game is currently
