Thanks for the reply. I'm afraid it is still not in my downloads section, which is why I asked about the email in the first place.

Yet another thing: I tried opening Impulse for the first time in, as my original post said, six months. It tried logging in to update E:WOM, and yet was unable to do so. It could not log in, and it diagnosed it as the server it attempted to connect to denying my computer's request to connect. Could this be related?

One more thing: that email, the one this account is under, isn't the one I really use anymore, so any pertient email should be sent to, or at least also sent to, [email protected], please and thanks. I tried changing the email, but I didn't seem to be allowed to.

Ok, I havent played E:WOM in over six months. But I was one of the people who preordered it and had to suffer through some of those tough times. Here's one: Since the AI never builds strongly armored units, I can usually just camp in a very heavily fortified mini-civ of 2-3 cities, then go on a rampage as soon as I have some master armor and lord hammers. Not really fun, and quite slow, but it works pretty much every time, any difficulty.

As you add parts to soldiers, such as armor, the time it takes to build increases. Also, if you train groups or such, it actually triples the time, sometimes even greater time.

I know the world of Elemental is supposed to be ravaged by the cataclysm, but it seems there is never enough food, or rather nowhere close enough to make an empire more than a few cities without going to ICS or conquering. So, I suggest that there be lesser resources, like maybe: -Berry bog; provides 2 food -Sheep Herd; provides 2-3 food -Ruined plantation; provides 2-3 food ... and the like. It has 11. I could have sworn the broadsword has 15. And it has nothing on the longsword anyway, with 17. It should have something special that makes me want to use it, like "this sword ignores all armor when dealing damage" or something. Come on, it was made for ME as the sole sword for the sovereign!

Aight. I know I said this before, but there really is a game-breaking bug/crash. When I tried to load it, it didnt even get to the main menu, saying: make sure impulse is on, elemental is installed, or that no security software is preventing elemental from loading. Or something like that. I had elemental loaded (obviously), impulse has never had to be open before, and no security was blocking it. WTF?

1. My game crashes every time on Summer 186 AC. Dont know why. 2. Half the time Janusk doesnt appear, especially when I am out of my sphere of influence/borders/whatever. 3. I do not know if it has been discussed, but half of my games on normal difficulty my capital is overrun by creatures and monsters. This is usually within the first 25 turns! I did everything I could on the last one. I managed to train one peasant. I recruited three heroes, and gave them and myself the best weapons I could buy at the time, staffs. I play strategy games because of a love of strategy, storytelling, history, war, and the possibilities they open for the mind. There are many complaints about this game, but it has a special place for me. For, when I usually play strategy games, I play to win. But in Elemental, I play for the experience. This is one of few strategy games that also feels like it is an RPG. Good

Seconded. I clicked install (as impulse was loading) and it said 'must wait for implulse to load in order to begin installing.' Then it wouldnt come back. Edit: It came back, but then I had the same problem as everyone else.
