Yeah... I still get spell cast on me when i use one of the spell shields ;/

He was probably expecting a shooter or something like your standard modern gamer. No exploding heads? WHAT!?!?!
Oh well, guess we wont see it today. Just hope it is here for the weekend.
Currently I think the main issue with AI is that AI players ignore resource levels. So, when you are struggling for food to make a city the computer is popping more out at -30. They just zerg units (which they can train in 1 turn no matter the duration it takes normally as empire until that bug gets fixed) and will always have more units than you. You just have to have better units in general so you can win tons of fights against lesser armies. Summons are ve
There is a mod that allows you to gain elemental spell books from the tech tree. Can't remember the name.
I would like to see no building limit and a huge fee to start additional cities. Perhaps even a constatly increasing amount as you build more and more cities. It annoys me to have to take over 90 cities to take out each AI player.
Hmm, champions without stacked items and with no boost for this patch is gonna make it hard to use them at all, since it is pretty common to get a spy and a stone giant on the other team to deal your champions 20+ damage before you can act. That will be most or all of any champion's hp. Oh well, guess it is back to 100% armies, but at least the game sounds like it will be working properly :)
What is the answer to life, the universe, and everything?
Honestly, he may be killing himself writing, or not. It's his life, if he chooses to produce more books, great, thanks a lot. If he does not? Well i hope he has a good life and thanks a lot for the books he did write. Though I do admit, it is hard to stay in good reading material. So many bad authors or authors who don't happen to write in a style i can enjoy, for every author that I can enjoy. :(
Extract it and put the xml files into your elemental game folder in a new folder called mods. Once that is done turn mods on in the options in game.
It's also lame that to get anyone to want to sign a treaty you have to have a larger army than them... I mean sure some people are just warlike... but everyone? really?
Something 100% different, like SC2 or League of Legends.
I think by free updates they mean that you will be getting free content for a year. After that I think they plan to put out an expansion which you will have to buy if you want to get the new content. Most games don't give you any additional content. Just a bonus. It isn't meant to require a subscription.
Yeah, your are a near godlike super power (or you are supposed to be anyway). Guess only a god has the ability to open his backpack during tactical combat or to draw a new weapon from it's sheath. Kinda similar to the way you can raise land from the seas and shatter mountains with your will.... but damn if forests are not a bit too much for you.
To me, making cities dependent on randomized map squares is ok only as long as it affects the AI as much as it affects players. As AI players can currently build without resources and may in fact even build after they are far negative on things like gold or food, the current system damages players while aiding AIs. Since the AI is currently rather weak this isn't much of an issue, but when they improve the AI their unlimited effective resources will be a bit of
I just followed the instructions and it worked perfectly. Are you using impulse to launch or just running the new exe? I run from the exe and it works.
Are most people having performance issues? Everything runs smoothly for me until i get the "out of memory" error, which has been worked around by a player (though not truly corrected).
As long as people backed their exes up can't they just change back?
Do the levels/stats of the parents matter? Is it mostly random? Do you have to make sacrifices to some dark god to get good children (if so, i have goats)?
I think staves are a bit too strong(not by a lot), but not to the point of making magic pointless. For example, I can do 25ish to 1 target with my fire staff, or i can spend 5 mana to deal 0-120 to up to nine units. Sure, it makes single target spells less helpful, but even those are usable with his shard fix. I think the main issue is that people are shocked to see magic actually do something. I do agree that letting normal units have them is kinda silly.
Please god make it happen
Not sure if it was changed in the current version and/or if it was ment to be this way but training units that require shards cost a number of shards equal to the group size, so, while you can make 1-3 most games you can't make 12 man groups, meaning those units can't stand up to late game armies. Luckily the robe spells work fine with 1 unit :)
The Gnilbert Mod allows you to research elemental books in the game and also fixes shards (as they don't currently work in 1.06) as well as several other interesting changes. Functional shards really are very helpful when playing as a magic based empire.
Do the traits that act like shards count for staves or just for spells?
Auto does counter the moral lock talent some sovereign have though. Auto seems to totally ignore moral.
