Dominions 4 announced! http://www.illwinter.com/dom4/index.html
Not exactly what I would call an informative or enthusiastic announcement on their site.
Glazunov1
I appreciate that, Campaigner, but if you haven't played the game, it's pretty difficult (though not impossible) to get a feeling for how a wide variety of images--terrain, combat enemies, heroes, building a military unit interface, etc--look like, and at various degrees from far to near. Playing it and then after that doing that a while, using the shader, would seem to be an important first step in determining whether that any help is needed. For myself, I'm perfectly happy with
quoting post I don't have Legendary Heroes myself but you guys might like it Classic!
Well, I was going for subtle, but still.
Not to press too fine a point, but if you haven't tried it on LH, how do you know it will help in any significantly visible way? :)
As others have pointed out in specific, so it is in general. Don't count upon any resource being always accrued in the game. They can get converted into something else you may want.
I'm in agreement with a two-thirds experience split per hero in a two-hero party. It makes sense, especially with the way monster groups have become both larger and tougher in some respects.
Yeah i realised you could move threads a while after I made the new one, but yeah I'm not using this thread anymore as its a LH mod.
That's cool. It's just a really good mod, and deserves more awareness.
I can understand the new casting cost completely. Once your troops hit aboutlevel 6, 7, or 8, they hit a sweet spot where a group of three troops starts hitting for up to eighteen lightning damage for only 16 mana.
If you're getting 18 damage per cast, I think that may be due to the number of air sites you're harvesting.
^ Check the LH modding forum. As Bluegreen0 mentioned in the OP, this is thread isn't being updated further here.
You mean, where he said at the top that he was posting about this mod in the LH thread? With respect, that doesn't equate to "I'm no longer updating, here."
And he's been doing all that you asked for.
And since I asked for
Hello! I clicked on the download link and went to Nexusmods, but it says the file has not been published yet....will it be coming soon?
Odd, but true. I went there about 8 hours ago and downloaded it without problems.
Heavenfall's mod is up to 1.0b. You might want to see if you're still compatible; and if so, mention that (specific to his mod's version) at the top of your mod.
Check out the Youtube gameplay videos. The best way to get a sense of how the game actually plays--not just its changed features--is to see actually play sessions. Then make up your own mind.
I just checked it with a costum race I created, amarian blood units still have the soul spark ability so it must be something in your game. Are you sure your ruler has the pariden faction or - if it is a custom faction - the amarian blood? Could it be that you deleted an old custom faction and created a new one with the same name? Have you modded the game in any way?
Same Parirden-like ruler I've used be
No, everything was the same with this ruler, as with the one I had the last few times whose spearmen could shoot lightning bolts. In fact, starting up a new game with that old ruler also gave me spearmen who no longer could cast lightning bolts. So something appears to have changed in the game, itself.
I wonder if it isn't the matter of race. Bet I chose the wrong one. I'll check it out--thanks.
Pardon my ignorance. I haven't had much time or inclination to play anything lately, following a cervical fusion. (It's like a raspberry fusion, only not.) Now I booted up a game with a Pariden-like leader, and discovered that my starting troops can no longer throw lightning bolts. When did this get nerfed, and why? And is it something I can add through troop creation, given enough crystal?
Personally, I'd like to see it added as a Commander skill. Perhaps one level of Tactical Deployment lets you move one character on your side up to two spaces; two levels of TD lets you move two characters, up to two spaces. Just a thought.
This has been requested of Stardock since FE was in late-beta. I think most of us have given up on waiting for the tools to help mod everything but the very simplest results (new races, etc).
Glad to see you're working on this, Heavenfall. Look forward once more to trying out the results.
See it on Nexus, am tracking it there. Will add to my next session. Nice idea.

I just wish the Toys for Bob folks would try kickstarting a new game along somewhat similar lines.
I don't think they've really got a clearly articulated focus for the game, yet. They can tell us all they want that it's about balancing factions so neither can win over the other, but they don't make clear how these sides view one another, whether you need to step in at once, what your various options will result in, etc.
Quoting Glazunov1, reply 32 Quoting Campaigner, reply 31 I bought Puzzle Quest 2 on Steam since it has achievements. If there wasn't a SteamWorks version then what is the incentive to buy it since there is no downside to pirating it. Common sense, since you want a developer to have sufficient funding to continue making games you enjoy? Ethics, assuming a willingness to give others
Better AI. Spiders that don't web archers. Diplomatic options equal to Gal Civ II, and without the bugs that have been in the game since at least FE .85.
