Crafting is a great idea, but it should be a choice that forces you to forego other options. Meaning that crafting should require resources that severely hamper something else--perhaps a lot of city development--and the return should justify the loss, but be very different in its results. I'm thinking of KotOR, and it's lackluster crafting, which didn't require any sacrifices to speak of, and resulted in weapons that were just as good as the ones you could o
@psychoak Amen. I love Master of Magic more than most. But I don't kid myself about the shape it was in when it shipped. Luckily, it was a very FUN game. But it was, by today's standards, completely broken. If it came out today in the shape it was then, you'd be talking 50 metacritic. Even back at the time, it got panned for being so buggy. There's a reason there was no MOM 2.
<p

Evolving FE. I still enjoy MoM a lot, but doing a newer version of what's been done before is only the thing to do when you don't feel you can do better. Your team has plenty of skill, the memory capabilities of computers are far greater, and you have different ideas. Go for it. ...But fix diplomacy before you do.
I can argue against that statement. Heroes of might and magic IV did not contain any multi-player options at all when it first came out. The uproar was so loud that they added it to the very first expansion.
A minor point: Multiplayer was intended for the initial game, but because it was underfunded, this was planned long before release for addition in the first expansion. It wasn't a response to
Are you using the latest game patch? Because I'm not sure of compatibility. And did you follow the installation instructions precisely that Heavenfall provided? Because the mod has to be placed in exactly the locations he required to work. You also have to check the box in the game options to load mods, then quit and restart.

Can't keep them. They're only for review. :D Software is treated differently. Like CDs, books, DVDs, if you review it, you get to keep it. At least, such has been my experience for a long time. But hardware usually goes back to the manufacturer.

Good info. Thanks, Pomalley. I am considering it. Certainly the price is right for E:G. I've found this link, with tree schematics for both games. No idea if it's been posted here, but it shows some depth: http://koti.welho.com/ehalttun/public_files/eador/eador_buildings.zip
Quoting Glazunov1, reply 70 My impression is that E:M is pretty much E:G with newer graphics, and maybe an expanded tree. So if the price is under $20 US, I'll give real consideration to buying it. It's not the graphics that make the difference to me, but the strategy involved in having more choices for city development. Don't get me wrong--unless it's $50 I will also get it.
