I moved the game folder in it's entirety to another drive, and there's an option in Impulse that tells it to find or re-associate or something like that and then you simply browse to the new folder location. Worked for me, took a whole 30-60 seconds.

I like that using a nuke spell in combat is a balance between the long term and short term. I like that there aren't loads and loads of high powered spells that basically turn non-casters into meatshields. Frankly, I'm tired of magic trivializing everything else in the game as if you have a guy that every other unit is bas
Other than the framerate slowdown after hundreds of turns (though I haven't had it show up yet at 568 turns this game), I have so far found late-game pretty manageable. In my current game I only founded 6 cities, but two of those were to control an area of intense monster spawning - though I should have just formed an Accursed Valley (raise mountains around it) from the beginning. Would have been a nice wildlife preserve I haven't built a pioneer

What speed are you playing at? have you considered Epic which will slow the "fun" things down so that more interesting things are happening later on?

I'm really not trying to be a prick, but there are so many threads already on this. Do a search on "mana regeneration" and you'll have lots of info/debate/suggestions on the issue. "search" is your friend. :)

What happens is if you have too many units in the stack you won't get the dragon.. as far as I can tell. First time I did it, I had a full stack and didn't get the dragon, the second time, I only had four units in the stack and I got the Dragon (who kicks ass by the way). Not sure what the #s are for how many you can have in a stack, but I think that's the issue. They still ought to fix it so that you get the option to choose whom to drop or it simply makes the dra

Hi James, Sorry for the newbness, but I want to use your mod, especially the abilities mod, but I have no idea what " You must use the "/createxmlbinary" EXE command for it to function properly." means. I searched the Elemental folders for a file with that name, no luck. What super obvious to non-nubs thing am I missing? Or is that line only for those who want to "use" your mod in their own mods? Thanks! Al
I personally think that you should implement a separate "spell resistance" (maybe based on int or wis) stat which would defend against spells where defense defends against normal attacks. It doesn't make any sense that dexterity (which modifies defense) should help you defend against magic...
Though I don't like the "one defense for all" way things are now, I still can't say "it doesn't make any

If they don't want to allow re-marrying, they ought to let you decree a certain hero to be the heir to the kingdom. That way you can pick your best character. It can be a "Make heir" action button. Should be simple, Id' think (coming from ZERO programming background!)

Great great idea! And as some are killed, it allows for spawning of others. Great idea, would love to see this. But I think only two creatures of similar strength should fight each other, else the big ones would take out all the small one (hmmm might not be so bad actually haha). +1 for you!

Love where you're going with this and really appreciate your work. I do have a suggestion. Could you update the original post to show how things ARE as of the most recent update? It's not clear to me exactly what's in place and what's in planning with the mod. Maybe I'm just a dumbarse, but I can'ts figure it out. I say this because it says "Here's what I'm thinking..." and not "Here's what's FINISHED" and "Here's what's still in the works..."
Yah but if you get crap 95% of the time, then you're "wasting" an improvement 95% of the time. I mean, maybe the Level 1->2 guardian unit isn't so badass, but I would expect something rather awesome for 2->3 and espiecially 3->4. Remember you're frontloading your benefits. Instead of having an increased production for something for the rest of the game, you're frontloading that into a strong earlier military presence.

Um.. let's look at it here in a analytical/legal sense before shooting off at the mouth. "Gamers shall have the right to demand that games be released in a finished state" Stardock hasn't, as far as I know, taken away the right from anyone to "demand" that the game be in a "finished state" You can all "demand" all you want. No where did they state that they would only release a game that is "fully playable with no bugs for all peop

I don't imagine it's not possible seeing as the Inn is more permanent and the battle field is a onetime thing. I've seen quests spawn under creatures so I can't see why they wouldn't under other structures (as long as it's not under a city block!)

I think that if your character doesn't carry any weapons (s)he should be able to wear 10 rings.. if the character is wielding a sword and shield (s)he should be limited to 4 rings or something like that. Then it's an advantage to some characters to not use a sword/shield. What say you?

Some cities are neutrals and not one of the main factions. I think that's the reason.
