Since i first commented in this thread, I've played Warlock 100% more than FE. I really really want to love FE, but I can't. I'm sure it's me, but whatever. All I need to know is I want to play Warlock whereas I keep having to push myself to consider FE.. and then don't. Oh, and Warlock 2 will be out April 10th for those interested.

Looks great. Can't wait to try it now. Pretty much avoided it knowing this would come out.. so let's see how it goes. Either way, well done on the commitment to do it right, especially for the fans. I'll have no probs recommending the game as long as it doesn't suck haha! Kudos boys and girls.
Looks great. Good thing I've got other things to play while waiting on this, I'd rather wait and you get it right.

[quote who="Lord Xia" reply="120" id="3150114"]The more I play Warlock, the more I am in love with it. I had to force myself to remember that I am an adult with professional responsibilities and make myself go to bed last night. "Elegant" is a good word. It's so fun and smooth to play, and cities are so finely specialized. The different races are unique and balanced, and cities don't magically change from one race to another when co

How about unique faction spells spread out throughout the tech trees. There can be some "early" ones then some "middle" ones and some final ones at the end. 3 per tech tree (ie 9 faction unique, even if barely) techs total.
So, I'm not a powergamer. I could care less about the minutia of the differences of .01 to .013 on numbers and don't care about finding the absolute optimal way of squeezing the most out of the numbers (or exploiting them). I'm a casual gamer. I play to be entertained and lose myself for a few hours. I played .86 last night for the first time and you know what? I loved it. I played it until 3am. I still am not sure what the hell I'm doin
What LM said. I've definitely noticed it not hitting me as much. Thank god.
Hopefully this is something modders can have fun with.
I get the same thing.
How about installing a limit on how many heros of certain levels you can have. Then you can pick and choose whether or not to upgrade your heroes instead of it happening automatically? Such as: 1 hero unlimited 2 up to lvl 15 3 up to 10 etc, etc OR Each empire (depending maybe on map size) has a limited amount of levels it can spread amongst it's heros You have 50 levels at your disposal. You can have O
Hi, I was being chased by a massive stack of enemies and couldn't take them on. Then I thought, "Duh" take them down a notch or two with Firestorm. I hit them twice and killed the whole stack! Sadly, there was no loot when I entered the space where they died. I think it would be fun/interesting that it becomes a 1st come 1st served struggle to recover the loot. I don't think the only way to recover loot should be to be via melee combat. I ended up reloading and only h
Attacks of opportunity I see as a must. To simply be able to walk past a unit is unrealistic ...UNLESS you do it all in one move. For example: If at the end of your 1st turn you end up adjacent to an enemy and then on turn 2 you try to walk away from them, THEN you are subject to a AoO. BUT, if you walk past them all in one turn without ever being stopped next to them, you should be able to avoid AoO. That way there's more tactical choices to be made,...
I've had the same issue. Either way, the whole "you can't move through the city with garrison full is pretty crappy mechanic if you ask me. You telling me all the city streets are not able to be used to simply cross the city? Fix this please!
I've just realized the joy of Maul. Then it got even better (worse?) when combined with the Growth spell. Imagine Maul at 2x the damage. I have a stack 2 guys which is pretty much wiping things out. Only mobs with a stack of creatures doing 85 or higher damage have a chance against my lvl 15 guy.
Also happened with me. What seemed to help when this happens is go to Options and turn off auto end turn (or whatever it's called). Doesn't solve the coding issue, but will allow us to work around it without loosing too much.
Maybe just an option to 'assign' a current existing unit as the bodyguard which would simply apply some bonuses to the Sov. For example, if you 'assign' a basic infantry unit as the bodyguard, the Sov would get +attack and +armor or 'assigning' archers could give them + vs ranged attacks... etc etc.. interesting concept indeed. It's just a different form of simply giving them equipment.
I also have the camera not locking once rotated bug/issue. I also say well done so far, great start!
Played last night 3 hours. Saved at least 6 times. No crashes. So, I don't think you can say the game universally has the issue. It has the issue with your pc for whatever reason. Not saying it's your fault or that you need a new PC like so many asses do. And they clearly need to ensure it doesn't happen but it's not universal. That said, I have i7, 12gb ram win64.. So far, this feels much smoother and stable than WoM ever ever was (for me).
So far, so good. Clearly a beta, but already more fun that WoM ever was for me. Love initiative! Thank you! Love creating my own faction. Honestly, I played for nearly three hours last night which is more than I played WoM at any one stretch of time. Oh, and it didn't crash once (I probably have a machine similar to the devs.. yippee!) AI seems to expand pretty quickly...well, more likely I'm really really slow. Love the vari
Yeah, please please take your time. I don't mind waiting for a good game. Though, I have to ask, was this quote "If it feels too much like WoM don’t make superficial changes, change the game." recent? I ask because it bothers/worries me a bit to think that this was a recent comment after a decent time already developing FE. To have someone say "change the game" at this point, IF that's the case.. is really worrisome. Please tell me I'm wrong and that was
Woah, had to double check what forum I was in because this feels just like the WoM boards before its release. [e digicons]*_*[/e] I'll check back again in a few months see at what level hype is then. [e digicons][/e]
I agree with everyone that says they should simply drop all support for EWOM. This game is simply too boring to give a crap about. Despite the changes behind the curtain I, as a casual gamer who doesn't care about the .1s of everytyhing, just can't get myself to give a shit about this game anymore. It's simply boring and ugly and empty. The potential (and it was massive) simply won't be fulfilled no matter how many patches are made as I can't see "f
Moot question for me seeing as if FE sucks after our EWOM experience, I'll not buy anything from them again... ...unless I come to the forums to find that The Next Big Thing really is good. In the end, I could care less as long as what I buy is a good product at a reasonable price.
