As much as I appreciate all the hard work and effort by the boys at SD to fix it I can't get over the feeling in my gut that by buying this game when it came out I simply funded the actual building of the actual and playable game that will come out in the next year. Everyone keeps lauding how much they're doing to fix it, but all I can think of is how the game is now (and more so in the future) completely different. I'm no power gamer, I'm just a dood that

TacCombat is what keeps me from really enjoying the game. It's too damn easy to exploit the mechanics and bad AI. If this part of the game gets treatment, I'll likely not stop playing. Still boggles the mind how simplistic this element of the game is considering even simply copying many things out there would have made it better. *sigh* Great suggestions all around, I'll see you in, what, June to see the Beta of changes?

Before 1.11 there was an issue with units being on auto-explore or with path already set. Try going to all your units and make sure they've finished moving? Otherwise, no clue, have only played one game since 1.11 going to start again soon.

I'm curious as to the reason to call this 1.1? Why not just call it 2.0? It's a completely different game, not just a .1 tweak to something. Magic is completely different.. and considering this is called EWoMAGIC, I'd say it's more than a .1 change? Is it just language used to delude ourselves that this is now anything other than a completely different game at it's core? And when the tac battle changes come, and the 'content' comes.. what will be actually left of the origi

Seriously, you guys are sad and surprised? I keep telling SD to stop with giving us dates, because pretty much every single one of them has been missed. Just say "soon".. I knew Oct was too soon and only came back now to see when in Dec it would be completed? And no, I don't count a "beta" seeing as, as much as I love the game (edit: as much as I love what the game can be) this is still a beta as a whole considering major elements of what the game IS are being changed in their entirety.

Though I don't tend to have a problem with online activation to stop piracy, I do fully support your issue of the shadyness behind the way things are done in this case (intentionally or not). I bought the digital d/l so I don't have a box to look at, but if the box does say that, you have every single right to be a bit peeved off to have the product say one thing and the reality being another thing. The fact that the game is not fully playable as advertised on the box and
Though i think George R.R Martin said something about a major storyline issue slowing him down on the next book more than anything to do with the TV series.
yeah, story = eating and drinking and just enjoying himself waaay too much. I'm always hearing about how he's out there at different fantasy and book cons, what the hell for? You still promoting your last book that you finished.. um.. like 5 years ago.. what I want is someone to leak the pilot that was made which allowed for the network to give it the "Go"... doubt it'll happen as I'm sure there's a 100% cast turnover, but still... would like to see it.

Civ V.. surprisingly I enjoy the slower pace and the limited amounts of units which adds value to individual units. I thought I'd be bored by yet another iteration of Civ.. but it's different enough to be engaging.. so far. And it's gorgeous and very polished.

I mean, IF true.. wouldn't that actually make sense? You're a lonely wandering monster/outlaw... you have two options: 1. Spot a wandering hero loaded with weapons and magically spawned creatures and decide, yeah, fuck it, it's a good day to die. or 2. Nice fat juicy, unarmed, un-escorted caravan/settler full of nice juicy crunchy civilians, dinner time! Which would you choose? :) Intentionally or not, it's something they got right!

Dominions 3 does this wonderfully... Would say something along the lines of (and i'm paraphrasing) "Joe Smith found a fire sword and a shield after this battle"... which was always followed by great excitement by me until I could see exactly what they found! :) This NEEDS to be implemented!
I'd prefer to have more Dominions and MoM in EWoM rather than Civ.
THIS! Definitely more Dominions flavor to EWoM.. I find Dominions a bit too deep at time, and EWoM waaaaaaaaaay too shallow. Some middle ground would be great. Would love the Devs to even acknowledge they know Dom3 and whether they've ever played it. Seems to me, nope.

Elemental now, or Elemental after the 3-6 serious patches (oops, sorry Expansions) needed to make it deep, colorful and full of content? Because, I'm afraid that if I added Elemental to Civ5 right now, elemental would break it (OOM anyone? ;) ) Sadly, I'm losing faith that Elemental can be brought up to what they were promising us before some modder (FFH anyone?) makes a nice mod for Civ5. I really really want this game to work, but seeing Brad's recent timeline wh

Really. Looks like lots of changes, still, gonna wait on 1.1

You can split your points into your sovereign (also champions) among these general paths: a) spell caster b ) warrior (good at killing stuff) c) military leader (gives a bonus to allied units in the same stack) d) financial leader (gives a bonus to the city/resource he is standing in, maybe some smaller global bonuses)<b

Or, they could do it like Dominions 3 and balance things to the point where all 4 are viable options depending on how you, the player, want to play. :)
