For me it's hit or miss. Sometimes fireball is visible, sometimes not. Though blizzard (or whatever that area effect snow spell is called) is displayed visually always.

Same here.. I see the animation about 1 in 4 times I cast it.

IF true, that IS disappointing. But seeing as I've not been able to play yet (at work), I'll reserve final judgement. I find it hard to believe that they'd have that few maps even if only semi-random. Anyone else see this?

The funny thing is I only found out about EWOM about a month ago, realized it'd be a while then forgot about it until about 5 days ago. Then I started really looking into it and am not totally excited about it. I can't even imagine what it's like for you guys who've been around it for ages! Must be torture! ;) At least for those of you in the US, it's still midday, I'm here in Holland so my ability to play it today is quickly dwindling. :(

You are all responsible for me being "sick" off from work tomorrow. ;) I'll be able to d/l it hopefully late tonight (Sunday) seeing as I live in Holland which means I'll either need to not sleep and play it, or sleep and wake up and play it. I just recently found out about this.. and I'm so f'ing excited...glad I only have to wait 4 more days.. (or is it shorter since I pre-ordered the digital download? Bring it on!

I've been dying for someone to come up with a PC version of Hyborian War, the PBE game based in the Age of Conan... And if Stardock thinks it's as brilliant an idea as I do [e digicons]:|[/e] I want some credit! heh..
