add praetorians to that list. imo a fast paced rts that has no embumberance to resources gathering. centers around strategic combat. you control units of groups of 30 from ancient armies of rome gaul eygpt. you can pretty much down the game free on the web and play it on gameranger. the version everyone pretty much plays at is 4.1 imperial mod which has even more nations to command. greeks, carthagineans, persians. in anywise the replay value is awesome due to the multiplayer community online.

i remember genghis khan clan of the grey wolf. i believe thats the game you talking about xia. i recall it even had a hot seat where u could select up to 8 players i think to play on the global map.

I would be very happy to shrink cities down, but it would be nice if there were some sort of lookout tower we could construct (it could be captured or destroyed) to enhance sight. &
[quote who="Heavenfall" reply="1" id="2944624"] On the other hand, high-level cities DO look like rubbish visually, sometimes covering a whole screen and leaving almost no room until the next city. That leads to a "map of cities" rather than a "map of the world" in long games (inherited from the general uselessness of the world, of course). imho i think stardock should just focus on FE completely and turn it into something they can accually be proud of. as for EWOM they should just release the source code/scripts to the public so the modding community can transform any and all aspects of the game and see wat can really come of it.
[quote who="carriath" reply="12" id="2938893"]Here Here, Great Idea. User programmed build profiles: For the most part players already know what type of building pattern they want for a city when they set it up. It seems once again like pointless micromanagement to have to turn by turn monitor who is building what when the real action of the game is elsewhere. Personally I find no excitement or entertainment in telling the city to build a house.

Also, to your second point, it'd to take an amazingly strong argument at this point to take city building off the main map. I'd personally fight that one to the bitter end. And I promise we'll be able to find solutions to any annoyances that may arise ('spider
love the idea as well. i could picture each race having a talent tree of sort for their cities as they grow you can really make them unique and flavorful. you could even tie in some asthetics to the traits that way the look of the city changes. farming heavy looking cities to cities who specialize in mana that they light up with lights. i think think all in all this would be a real fun way to really make lots of different styles of cities that could really make the game more intresting.
praetorians. playing it multiplayer is super engaging.
for me a really really good rts game that has never lost flavor and is especiallly fun in multiplayer is praetorians.
keep up the dev feeds! nice work keep it up !
forget p90x this guys getting a better workout falling down!

hey frogboy, congrats on taking the family to disney they will all love it. it will mean alot to your kids believe me. anycase some highlights for your kids as follows. for your 4 year old girl a must would be to do the bibidi bobidy boo boutique. i think its in downtown disney where they basically will turn her into a princess with a hairdoo and outfit to boot. definitely good for little girls. a fun activity with the boys you can take them for a dinner show @ arabian

No, identical soldiers make no difference in memory. It's the different units that are the issue. it can be called ... Galactic Civ Tycoon...
color code the graphics next to the trait text that way poeple know how important they are since your saying some are common and some are rare. green = common blue = rare purple = epic orange = legendary this way you know you got something not common when the traits pop out especially since the stuff will be random.
random event leak... diablo walks the earth!... zomg pownage!
like i said it eons ago Kael was going to come and inject fun in elemental. give him time and he will melt the bland and turn it into grand. oh that rhymes lol
i agree with the OP completely.

it would be nice to get a fantasy 4x multiplayer but if they dont ultimately go that route lets be realistic... human vs AI eventually your going to go to war with all the AI in order to dominate the game. if you really want to get diplomatic options to give the game some flavor the minor factions need to be revamped that way you can ally with them and not worry about needing to wipe them off the map in order to win. personally with ewom land being so monotonusly bland i really want to see FE

I would really like to see vanilla War of Magic refined and made into a better game instead of essentially being left behind with all the good ideas being dumped into Fallen Enchantress. Oh well, maybe it's better this way. it the stardock company report that was posted just not so
