Elementary, my dear Watson Hope that's real enough. [e digicons]:D[/e]
Thanks for the clarification, probably my confusion as I never think of city prestige, only faction prestige and city growth. The one city growth problem is a real one and as much as I like the goal of incentivising less spam one problem I see arising is getting enough food quick enough to make it viable (assuming its growth is boosted somehow). Already a low production city can have trouble building/teching fast enough to keep up with population growth. The ma
If they give us fortifiable outposts I'll abuse the hell out of it. Please don't make me.
Assuming it has not changed from 0.77 (haven't played Empire recently) then it is Death II + Air II.
I voted fair. It's like we have the first couple of draft chapters for a book - interesting, promising, but still just a couple of draft chapters... If Frogboy, Kael and the rest of the team keep their heads screwed on (Frogger's post shows his certainly is) and avoid getting caught up in the hype, whether theirs or ours, then I believe we might be in for something good.

Maybe being encumbered should have a - str modification and the check for being encumbered could be made against dexterity. I see no real world reason not to have this sort of mechanism but that should not be where the argument is. It would increase the importance of dexterity and reduce the importance of strength as stats. I agree that the initiative modifiers need some work.
Do you mean growth Sean? Prestige will be spread across all cities. Growth bonus is for the city the building is in. There is already the Tower of Dominion but maybe it is not powerful enough and/or we could have another?
Ha ha. Fun. You need death worship as a race trait to use the extra death spells. Of the standard factions only the wraiths (=Resoln empire) has it.
I have Vista and it took at least an hour for the 0.75 beta to get to the permission stage. First time I cancelled it after about 30 minutes. It then takes quite a few minutes to install but I would not say extremely long. Fortunately uprgrading from to beta 0.77, 0.85 and 0.86 only took less than a minute.
You are lucky, none of the sovereigns have shown up on this screen for me. Regardless of what i have done.
I've also had a game in 0.86 where no quest locations spawned.
You can toggle automatic garrisoning in the options screen. [edit: I need more initiative...]
As the title says. I have a quite old 512mb graphics card. Don't know if that is relevant.
All you need is an earth spell, depending on the type of the chokepoint. Shrug.
I really like WhiteElk's unit UI suggestion. It bugs me a lot going through my units trying to figure out if there is one which hasn't moved yet.
Please at least let us have the option to leave it the way it is. I like it and don't want to be frustrated ending my turn by some additional popup I have to clear before proceeding.
It's definitely a balance thing. Back in early WOM hills did not have a movement penalty and raise land was only 5 or 10 mana. I routinely cast raise land to speed travel through forests. There are more options later in the magic tree but not that cheap. A grow forest spell would be a nice addition though, high in the earth magic levels.
And I thought you hated forests for the sake of it! To avoid the movement penalty you will then have to cast lower land.
Pretty sure raise (or is that raze?) land will do the trick for you.
Absolutely.
I have never seen research wrap. Whenever you complete a tech any remaining research is lost. It would be good IMO if this was changed. It is the one time, if I don't need the production, that I will raise taxes.
Is there a keyboard shortcut for the Hiergamemnon?
I like the variation you get with heroes (including my recent Procipinee game where I did not find a kingdom hero for over 100 turns, and only one empire one). Totally different and that made it fun! The Wraiths can already (in theory) alter any shard to death shards. Part of their speciality. Hate to see that go away. Part of the uniqueness of Fallen Enchantress, yes?
