Digital Hugs for all the team and a big thank you for the effort. Hope it turns out the financial success it deserves to become... :)

Was the revalation spell removed on purpose without documenting it here, or just forgotten to re-implement. research-pace is slow enough allready. :( At least documenting it in the changelog whould have been nice... And the servers jumble the massenges quite frequently today...
Well, if your Gouvernment is broke (I assume you mean french national budget) its likely they will also walk the walk. Since feed-in tarifs are consumtion based not state finance based (I assume the french feed-in tarif moddel works like ours, if your government pursues the spanish model of state financed feed in tarifs your guess that it can't work is understandable. But that is unlikely for the very reason of your state finances) meaning frenchs national budget and regional budget
Oh, you can freely let us take our own path. Thank you very much. ;) :) Lets just agree to disagree in our perceptions on what is the right path for our respective countries (and not muddle opinon since you seem to imply clarity of fact for our country as a whole when it seems rather opinion from the outside.). And go your path in france as you may desire (heard that your current president wants a share of 25% renewables sometime in the next decade. Of course look from the outside
The thing with the panels not being usable for self consumption if the grid goes down shouldn't be a binding technical issue but a regulatory one due to feed in regulations / contract though? Do your panels directly feed into the grid? Is the electricity grid in your county DC based or AC-based? Whould be interesting to know what the reason is? Since from in our neck of the woods (germany) the inverter (the device changing the DC electric power into a grid-confo
Will it be possible to add a gift bought map-pack later on when steam keys for early adopters are distributed with LH or not? No ill feelings if not. I'd just like to know if I can use the map-pack myself or have to gift it on for someone to use it. (if not, another sale of FE is sure to come sometime down the road and I whouldn't die by offering Stardock another buck and steam another half of a buck for having enjoyed FE the hours I did...)
Can always buy it as a present (what I did) and add it to library later. Bummer if that shouldn't work if the steam keys are distributed. Alas its only 1,69 $ (less converted in €-Land from where I hail). I'm fine if I have to write such a slim sum off even on a slim budget... Still silly that the block is in place but not for gifts. Why have it then at all?
Doesn't take people of different langages though. Most of inter-human communication is mutual misunderstanding (potential for misunderstanding internet > voice-only > face to face in group > face to face with 2 people talking). From someone with a few years in sales / customer support... Sender of the message usually is liable for making sure being understood though. Since he / she has to foot the bill usually. Something oft misunderstood by my more technically minded colle
But What about Frogboy's golden rocket car now that FE-Steam-Keys are handed out to early adopters? *sniff* ;) Very impressed. Solid list. Much more meat than I expected. You sure E:LH is still not as huge a thing as FE? With what you outlined above alone it might turn into a game I might actually revisit and may be a similar step in terms of gameplay as the jump from E:Wom to E:FE was. Might be easier to actually code. But I gauge the impact to be rally simmilar. Looking
First let me say: Hell yes please continue to make Fantasy 4x (of whatever Vein) the niche is there (its my favorite subgenre ever since MOM of my favorite genre ever since Civ 1) Yes also containing tactical battles please (in current form or more like AoW:SM both seems fine). Won't be able to play it much due to severe time constraints. Will very likely buy it from you still if its even of average quality (though I think it will be stellar since the road your takin
http://www.gog.com/ End of the World Sale. Lots of good (and some rahter mediocre) classics in bundles and as single titles for very little (YMMV ;)) with a pinch of more modern stuff in the stew. Twisted Humor too... Only till the End of the Day (12 AM some timezone I don't know from the back of my head)
Nice overview. :) Agree on most (warlock might be nice but its lacking spice...). Shows well that beastlord is just one good option among many. And what needs beefing up. Maybe integrate invisible to monsters in hunter instead of with simple faction trait. Makes the choice for the juicy stuff all the harder (and proffesion guiding playstyle seems good with those things being exclusive).
Leave Beastlord (and other fun and powerful stuff in a bearable range) alone. Don't kill everything that is fun. If anything make certain monsters more resistable. The Mana cost has been ramped up (and casting time taken down. Putting strategy into the ability while taking tendium out = good if painful for someone who usues and likes beastlord). That was a sensible change. Killing beastlord or making it into stuff like bandit lord in its current form will kill the game if applied to broad
Yea beastlord + collar is a neat thing now indeed. Have to say I find fighting Ceresa when she got bound horders more rewarding honestly. 3-4 Hoarders converted and someone to cast haste: Boom unstopable Stunlock. Is even tough enough for fighting 3 Dragons in the dragon Statue Quest... And easier to accomplish Hoarders are a bit better than Umberdroths even. Yea it could work as you describe but that takes lots of luck / reloads since webs can be resisted (tame probably can't
Still present in Final 1.0 and now also the AI seems to have an Initiative-Amulet fetish (had an AI with literally 100 of those at around Turn 200 on riddiculous). Much more value than the leggear though. Still a bit much. Maybe fearing enchanters will die out soon? Or a world-spell slowing everyone to INI 1 is about to be cast? Or AI hasn't been told that there whould be a limit of 3 items and no double-equip the same item?
@ Frogboy: The monsters ignoring outposts and recources and armies right under their nose may be the root cause of the player anger (them being targeted by what players perceive is their stuff while the AI gets a free pass thanks to a bit of an unlucky rng...) Maybe add some variable that lets monsters check at start of their move if something tasty is very near (like 1 spot away right under their nose) no matter if player or AI and let them eat it before continuing to hunt a
Ah that explains it. Sorry for the confusion. Acceptable trait for 1 Point then imo. Confusion stemmed from it being listed under army part of the henchmen / unit creation together with other stuff affecting the whole army. Maybe it should be put with the normal traits then?
Suggestion: Ignoring Monsters whould probably be better placed as a souvereign vocation given that has been used for Adventurer adding great choice. Not as a faction trait (might violate the feel a little bit but it should balance out nicely. Moreso than just a few faction points.) Hunter Vocation might be a good place to let the monsters not go after your troops which also needs a strong boost to compete as a nice extra (so you have to choose either that or free heroes or cheaper
I like good games and love excellent ones. Both paths have their merit. Both design philosophies have bought about great games I like very much (also my free time mostly limits me to short and tight games if at all currently. FE being my current exception and possibly still only rarely). Making great games is an art I have no doubt about. The term easy to learn hard to master is a receipe which is not plannable with certainty. As is the goal of a hard to learn one with e

I'd rather have an approximately balanced fun game; than a wildly out of balance fun game. [quote who="Lord Xia" reply="10" id="3266839"]The worst time I had, was with a beta a while back. There were a group of Umberdroths from the Caves wildland(can't think of the name) that went straight from destroying one city of mine to the next, they destroyed every city I had, 5 in total. They didn't even pause from city to city, now a days, monster kinda wander around lazily, but these guys systematically destroyed me in a matter of a few turns. I keep tr
Answer @ Thread title: Yes and that is actually a good thing. Fighting them can be fun. Gets the mind running. (they might endure a slight reduction but the concept is very much fine) Might even make me play the faction after fighting it. Better not do all to much negative balancing when there is so much room for positive balancing (provided the machanic which is overpowered is actually fun and juggernauts very much are at least for me). Resoln needs a less weakeni
@ Deadly Julia: First: There is a way to combine free heroes and beastlord actually because there is at least one empire and kingdom Champ (Level 9 who are beastlords one a former sovereign of a faction that got no official support since about the start of the last beta phase some months ago) each, but the trait is most powerful early because it allows a lot of leverage and expansion that is otherwise very hard at the start (and not least especially combined with quest maps because
@ Deadly Julia: Making the AI hardcore agressive whould kill the pacing and design of the game (and wait till your faction score drop all the way to the bottom. And it will. take those non-aggro-pacts while you can. You'll be glad you did). The first enemy is the world itself (and that intent of design isn't exactly delivered subtle. See the Intro for what I mean. The game is ment to play out just like described there) No need to axe that part of the game / setting away just beca

[quote who="Tuidjy" reply="67" id="3265315"]Quoting DeadlyJulia, reply 60 If you play your pseudo-tough-noreload-game, would you ever start a fight with say 1 hero if you think the chances to lose are 95%? I guess not. Ill do that, and if i have a 5% to win... But Julia, you must realize that if the developers have to balance the game for people who win near-hopeless fights flawl
