In faction traits, the tooltip for Legacy of Serrane has an extra line of text: Caravans are immune to attack is stated twice.
The same extra line of text appears in the tooltip for 'Slave Lord'.
4. Can upgrade crossbowmen to use shields
Crossbows are one-handed weapons, so upgrading crossbowman to use shields is by design. They would not make any sense otherwise because their attack is slightly lower compared to bows and you have to be very close for the power shot ability. The devs should change the crossbowman to wield a shield in the first place so players know.

After long times of playing LH and thinking about it all, I have to agree with both points you are making. The drastic XP split certainly was a very good idea for FE and it helped a lot, but it is very counterintuitive and even counterproductive for LH. I also fear that this will be the main issue for new players and THE big complaint on any gaming site that reviews LH. Three champions in a stack should be "free", after that the punishment must be more severe... Regardless of what you

I agree with a lot of things you say, but not with...
*Magic: It`s frustanting the way heroes can`t learn magic school. As much as I am satisfied with the tactical combat in general since it has just about the right amount of tactics involved for me, I have to agree that this one thing can be extremely annoying. There is no real sense behind the fact that sometimes when you are attacking an enemy army, one of your units is stuck all alone right next to the enemies and all the others are completely scattered around the map. I could somehow understand it if you are attacked, but it doens't make a lick of sen
(1) Boring early game : My opinion on early game of ALL of Stardock's 4X games, with few reservations : unbelievably bad. Just go play games like even... heck, Warlock : Master Of Arcane. The difference is so huge in this aspect that makes people wonder whether Stardock is intentionally trying to make a boring game. Actually this early game issue has been kept improving (yes, WoM has much worse early game. Believe it or not), but still
So I've played the game quite a bit more and I think my conclusion about swarm tactics is a bit different. My conclusion is swarm tactics is a bit too powerful at the start of the game and underwhelming later in the game. This has to do with the bonuses swarm tactics reward which are static and not scaling. I do wish swarm tactics were reduced at the start of a game, its clear to me right now that o

Kraxis is using the Broken Loyalties spell and what you describe is a well known bug. https://forums.elementalgame.com/444172/page/1/ https://forums.elementalgame.com/444239/page/1/ https://forums.elementalgame.com/444233/page/1/

Yes, Stealth cost 2 points and Warriors cost 1, now they have 3 points (Warriors +1, Master Scouts +1, Assassin's Tools +1, Masterwork Chainmail +0) spent across their traits like all the other factions. Still, I think they are too close to Tarth and not really fleshed out together with Capitar. They have been brought back without really fitting them into Legendary Heroes.
This sounds like you're understanding Swarm as a free full strength attack by adjacent units. This is not the case. Rather, the attacking unit gets a bonus to their attack based on friendly adjacent units. The animation where supporting units 'attack' just shows that they're providing the attack bonus.
Exactly, which is +1 Attack and +5 Accuracy per adjacent allied unit. I also agree with your assessment th

If you check the unrest details of any of your cities, is there a listing of "Faction-Wide unrest"? This value subsumes all unrest increase and decrease that you get for your entire faction through faction traits (Rebel, Noble), improvements (Prison, Onyx throne) or resources (Twilight Bees). If you have a savegame, try checking the value before and after you selected prison as your fortress city level improvement.

This thread makes me chuckle and reminds me of the time when War of Magic had a faction that was the only one to build female troops as a genuine faction trait. Which one was it? Tarth? I am not sure. Elemental has come a long way concerning gender equality...

I agree. In general, Umber and Tarth are basically mirror images when it comes to faction traits. Umber and Capitar have just been brought back from a long hiatus of premade factions and still need to be balanced a bit to fit LH.

There is no option to get your champions alternate mounts through faction traits or city improvements. Some champions simply start with their unique mounts when you hire them and you can get alternate mounts for yourself as quest rewards.

Well, the truth is that tactical combat never really was the main focus of the Elemental series. It was always designed around the idea that it offers quick and moderately tactical decisions but that the overall army strength is the deciding factor. The focus is on the civilizing of the wild lands and on empire building in a heavily customizable sandbox mode. For all its neat gameplay concerning tactical battles, Eador does not offer that.

It's actually very simple: We should get the regular research complete popup and we chose to continue research or chose to change it, like it is already happening when you select a tech that is further along the tree. Done.
