My gripe with BioShock was not the actual game itself. Compared to the usual FPS stupidity we are served with, BioShock is unique and thoughtful. Admittedly, it was and still is a very good game. The thing that disappointed me was the marketing. I loathed how they utilized the well deserved credits they got for System Shock 2 (unfortunately, most of it in retrospect) for a game that was basically a rehash of their past ideas and played less sophisticated in comparison. Synopsis doesn't sound that special, but really want to see the gameplay first.[/quote] you can view the trailer here: http://www.joystiq.com/2010/08/12/bioshock-infinite-preview/ and there is an interview with Ken Levine, too. <a href="http://www.joystiq.c
ok, it is BioShock in the clouds. Well...
I'm sure some of you heard of the mysterious new game that is in the making at Irrational Games. As a die hard System Shock 2 fan and an avid admirer of Ken Levine, I am really looking forward to the reveal today. We only know about a work title "Project Icarus" and that there is a website with an infinity symbol. Some say it might be a remake of Xcom, newest rumors say something about "BioShock above the clouds". Now, BioShock was a very good FPS, but not as fascinating as System Sho

Even though it had some issues with the AI, graphics and a horrible exploit, it was the perfect continuation of the Civilization franchise and it offered something no Civ-style game before and after did: an actual story and thoughtful, challenging ideas. It was deeply philosophical and with its rather grim view on human nature also pretty scary. The videos for the secret projects were little artisti
Thanks for the answers. I will check out the listed games and I appreciate the communal effort to create a faction editor. [e digicons][/e] Let's hope that there will be special abilities. A lack thereof would be the main reason to put me off...
Hello everyone, I came across this game by accident just a couple of days ago in a games forum and after reading up on it and watching some beta videos I can say that I am really excited for this game. As a hardcore MoM player back in the days, I am looking forward to getting my hands on Elemental more so than on Civ 5, this has a lot do with its RPG focus and modding capabilities. To be honest, I am quite happy that I didn't know about Elemental earlier, because the waiting game is k
