I agree, I was thinking about creating a thread with a similar sentiment, I also really like your suggestions. I still don't really understand why they decided to spread out the learning of spells to so many different parts of the game. It is for example not really comprehensible why elemental summons are not linked to the respective elemental spellbooks and why those summons are unlocked in a linear tree and therefore rated differently in power. It's the same for the support spell tr

I don't think buckdulane is willing to get into an honest discussion at all, he just wants to tell other people that he thinks the game is crap, that Stardock is crap and that no one should buy it. He is not interested in helping or discussing, see his first post.

Summoned creatures from shards are only available to factions with the "Binding" trait. As Ceresa / Resoln is the only premade faction with the trait, they are the only one to summon creatures from shards. You could create a custom faction with the trait yourself though.

Have another look you have it the wrong way, almost all of these changes are from ultrarare to rare so they are slightly more common. Yes, it is not enough and it is just a start. mqpiffle wrote that they changed some of the loot drops, which they did.

Total agreement with barrywhiteisalright. There is always the point in the game (usually mid-game) where you crossed the bridge over raging fires and set foot on land that is not dangerous and challenging anymore and actually quite boring. You just walk around looking for any interesting stuff, but there is not a lot to write home about.

Actually you can call the entire loading button broken, there are a lot of things wrong when you are reloading a savegame and the root of the problem seems to be that when reloading a savegame, the current session basically runs through an entire turn and does not stay at the time it was dumped into the savegame.

Apparently it is not as easy as you think...
I had that happen too. (webbed an archer). There is literally hard code in there now to stop that and it still happened. (pulling hair).

In general I don't understand why there is so little essence on maps already - this is supposed to be a fantasy game in a highly magical world after all.
You are wrong, this is supposed to be a devastated world that suffered through a cataclysm brought upon by rampaging Titans. Now just to be clear: I appreciate all the suggestions of how to improve magic and there is stuff that can be done, but I myself am getting a little tired by all these threads wanting a MoM 2. There is literally another one just two threads down at the moment. This series developed along a different path, a path that is focused far more on strategic empire building and less on magical extravaganza. Magic is there, but it is one viable option, not THE viable option and it's fun if

Improvements, spells, champions, border not contiguous, occupation penalty, city count penalty are listed separatly, everything else that affects your entire faction is subsumed under the faction wide unrest. For example: "Noble" Sovereign Profession (-10), "Rebel" faction weakness (+10), "Apiaries" on a Twilight Bee resource (-2), "Prison" lvl 4 Fortress upgrade (-10), "Obsidian Throne" lvl 5 Fortress upgrade (-30)

I just wanted to throw out a "Thank You" for the devs. I think I've never seen so much dev participation in the forums like in the last couple of days and it is very reassuring to see that user feedback is addressed and quick fixes are incorporated on a very large scale. On a personal note, I also wanted to thank you for my free copies of Fallen Enchantress and Legendary Heroes, it more than made up for WoM.

Swarm: for each adjacent allied unit, the attacker gets +1 Attack and +3 Accuracy. I am sure about the +1 Attack, not 100% sure about the amount of accuracy though. Rush: You can move the unit, use the rush ability and move again. It basically doubles your movement points.

no, life should stay white to contrast death (black), earth should stay green to indicate nature, Air being yellow is fine. It's the same color code in almost any game with magical schools and I think it's very intuitive.

Err no, he is clearly going for a Frogboy sucker punch, indicating that something very similar like "War of Magic" will happen where a game comes out far too soon riddled with bugs and not finished. You should check id_est post history to understand where he is coming from.

Well, I only need some of the things I listed and I have no problem to collect mana, I didn't mean you have to pick everything. When I am saying early on I mean the first 50-100 seasons depending on the map size since the game moves very slow. And yes, the issue is aggravated by the fact that the AI does not know how to use AM strategy or counter it (the AI cannot simply switch an AM when there is no place for a city next to it --> punkd) I don't pick The Decalon anymore because it

While I agree that you can always go much further when it comes to faction differentiation (at the expense of game balance) and I would like to see more along the line, I don't agree that every faction basically plays the same. Tarth bows will let you create pretty different units than Gilden plate armor and Ythril two-handed axes, which means that every faction has different research goals. You can play it like Gilden with another faction, but you won't be as sucessful if you do.
