It'll neither be 'paiinful' nor 'painfull'. It'll be 'painful' whether Aussie-lingo or not.... Jafo tries not to type with an accent... In Kiwi 'fish & chips' is 'fush & chups', and 'sex' is
Quoting impinc, reply 7Not trying to be difficult here, but how is that image in the OP minimalist? Wouldn't it be more minimalistic to NOT have tiles, and just use the start menu? The start menu takes up less room, and you can pin stuff to it. I guess I just fail to see what this brings over the start menu. It's better than the start menu because with Tiles you only have the apps/folders/files that you want. With the Start Menu y
Great job guys. This mod is looking great. I did find a bug when playing as Capitar. The "Hut" was not listed as a buildable improvement for a city. Altar was able to and both factions can without mods enabled.
Thanks for pointing this out. I thought I had fixed this earlier, but missed one last thing. It's now fixed, and new version uploaded.
I think you got it right there. They are moving away from being an indie, labor-of-love developer to being a more corporate developer.
Funny...wasn't the major reason to sell off impulse to avoid that?

Ok, just uploaded the fixed version (well, just removed the unzipped files). But, I also forgot to modify the raceconfigs of each faction (to boost hp), so those are in there now as well.

Oops. They're not supposed to be there unless unzipped. I'll re-upload the zip in a bit, and try to write better instructions, I was tired when I wrote it. (It should work fine without doing anything right now). I think I got all the necessary stuff (all armor, weapons, and HP stuff). If I missed anything, let me know.
One of the great things I was expecting from Elemental was that the races would have individual personality and AI. I guess I was expecting more from the people who made Gal Civ in this regard.
While I agree with you, the world is bland, I also made the above assumption. But look at GalCiv2. The races didn't really get unique from each other until Twilight.

Uploaded version 0.21beta. Just wanted to get a quick update out which converts the necessary files of expanded factions to work well with UDF. Changelog 0.2b - Added Magog's effect for Rain Of Stone - Raised pricing for Relias and Carrodus' personal armor/weapons in the shop Changelog 0.2c - Added Icecrown's effects to the effects folder. Changed a couple of Altar's spells to use those effects.<br /

Funny, when I was younger, I had both Atari and Coleco, and played it quite a lot, but never burned anything into my TV. I suppose if you left the game running without actually playing it for hours, it would burn into the screen.

You know, if you're getting crashes, and you don't send SD any crash reports, they can't fix it for your computer. People seem to forget how different every PC can be. While Elemental barely ever crashes for me, it crashes for some. Then again, I've posted plenty of crash reports (not really a coincedence that it's stable for me).

I have a feeling any major mod support is being pushed to the back burner. I think they're going to put that effort into making a good mod layer for Kumquat, rather than for an actual game. Seeing how much FE is changing, I highly doubt WoM mods will work "out of the box".

Uploaded the first public beta 0.2 of UDF! Please remember this is still considered to be beta. Only Altar and Capitar have been modified for their uniqueness, however, the other factions all have the appropriate stats to match the increases. You'll find icons that dont make sense. You'll find descriptions that dont make sense either. Bear with us, and there's almost no file we aren't modifying in some way. If you see somethin

Fallen Enchantress is an expansion pack which is being put out by Stardock. It's actually better to just think of it as a new game. Because it essentially is. There are two races in Elemental....Human and Fallen. All the kingdoms are human, all the empires minus kraxis(they're human) are fallen.
What kind of work do you need done with magic?
Basically, the spells need to be rewritten to do more damage, and to scale more with INT and shards owned. Plus most factions will have unique spells. Essentially, almost every faction has the core spellbooks rewritten so that we can change costs on a per faction basis.

If the game is crashing on your computer, and you never send them any crash reports, why do you expect it to get better? I'm sorry that you're havin
