I am looking for someone who is a much better programmer than I am to help me out. My idea is to create a zombie uprising event and what I need is three things: 1) (This one should be easy enough) I need to know how to increase the maximum

I'm glad the Nobleman's Daughter quest is being fixed. It was too easy to just hand her over to the bandits for some quick cash. Even if I was playing a 'good guy' I would still hand her over because there was no backdraw and 200 gold is handy early on.
Personally I would prefer that the monster lose his targeting of the sovereign (or champion) if either is defeated. Seems like a simple solution, but I don't know if it would pose a programming challenge.
Quoting Das123, reply 9Interesting read, Brad. Love how after WOM all your posts start with a disclaimer. I believe the best solution would be to find a way to encourage spreading champions around rather than just nerfing the champions themselves Maybe the champions could have bonuses that only buff the non-Champion units they are stacked with?
I second this wholeheartedly.
Quoting Derek Paxton, reply 1 We have some in the game right now. Blood Season, Eclipse, Meteor Shower, Hulk Smash! and the Revelry. Im wondering if they need to be more frequent though, they are pretty rare. ps. One of those events may not be real How about making it like GalCiv2 where there's minor events that happen frequently, and "mega" events that ar
Makes me happy that World events are in the game. Sad that I haven't seen any yet, but this is what the Beta's all about, right?
World Events would be a nice addition to the game. Things like local crop failures, droughts, and positive stuff as well. Larger global events would be a nice touch as well, but at the moment I can't think of any that would work. This kind of option could be selected at the game creation screen where you could choose no event, minor events, and major events kind of like what is available for monsters and shards currently. (Disclaimer) I'm not a programmer s
Not sure if there is a post for this already (there probably is), but I remember at some point in the timeline of EWOM that tactical battles had terrain modifiers. I would really like to see these again. Also I would like to see terrain obstacles and possibly even hazards for tactical and world maps. Could spice things up a bit.
Oooo, I like this suggestion. Fits in nicely with having to research adventure tech to recruit higher level champions. Great idea.
I didn't really have this problem. I only had my sovereign and one champion who already had the Path of the Governor when I found him. I adventured with those two for a little while (like 20 turns or so), but then the monsters started getting too much. So I worked on the Warfare tech tree until I could make a group of decent warriors; I customized the warriors to add Strength and Defense (which cost more, but whatever I had time). With 3 groups of these new w
I didn't have this problem with the 0.75 version, but even with the sound turned all the way up on my headset and in the audio options I can only just barely hear the music. Has anyone else had this issue?
Has anyone else noticed that when a champion with a Mauling weapon attacks the game has a second or two long pause before the animation takes place? Doesn't seem to happen for monsters with the Maul ability, just for my sovereign and champions. Just wondering if anyone else is having this issue.
Not sure if anyone else is having this problem, but when I choose Path of the Governor for my champions I have yet to see and kind of progression in that path when they level up. All the other paths seem to work fine with level progression, but the Governor path seems to go nowhere.
I'm curious if anyone has been able to utilize the throwing daggers in the game. I have two champions that have them equipped, but I either can't, or don't know how to, use them.
I got a hold of a few champions early in the game and went exploring with my sovereign. We killed everything in sight, leveled non-stop, kicked a** and took names. Eventually I came across another faction so I declared war and with only the four of us I destroyed them all. I won the game with four champions and no need for even a single unit, nor magic, nor anything except champion equipment. I'm not saying I didn't have fun, I'm just saying that cham
Daleks would be so cool. Wish I could help, but I can barely mod the basics at this point. Need more practice.
EWOM is a brilliant game with a few serious bugs that should be fixed within a few weeks if not sooner. This review gives me hope that EWOM's release will not hurt Stardock as a company.
The thing is, Stardock has fronted up. Have you paid attention to the last few posts from Brad? (Not the one of the convo with his wife). He's been pretty damn clear that they botched some stuff, so have most of the people who have said "everything will be great in time." Not many have said "It's fine". That's adding to what people are saying and putting words in their mouth. Saying "Things are going
Stop making things up, this tool posted about MoM and its suposed failure, made it sound like he played it at launch. Dude, at 10 years old I hardly think you even knew about PC'c
I have been playing video games in one form or another since my family bought a computer when I was 6 years old waaay back in 1982. I taught them how to use it. A friend of mine has a 3 year old that knows how to work a computer better than she knows how to speak or walk.<
Thanks Kenata
It's amazing how a post can take a life of its own. After reading all the replies I barely remember what I wrote. I have heard a lot of valid opinions, praises, and complaints on both sides of this issue. It's nice to hear the contructive criticism, which was lacking in many other posts, and which prompted me to write this one. I guess I am truly happy that people are getting so heated up about this game (for and against). After all, people don't get angry if
I don't think I would nix the VM, I would just make it a later summon.
Not sure if this is what you are trying to do, but the Explosion ablilty/spell of the Vigilant Minion and one of the creatures from the campaign effects all enemies. I can't seem to find it right now though.
Haven't seen any code that limits the equipability yet. This complaint/suggestion has been posted a few times so hopefully we will see something come down the line. Would be nice if you could only have like 5-10 rings (fingers) and 1-2 amulets and no duplicates.
I like this idea. I'm not sure I would agree 100% with how you suggest to alter them, but I agree at least 90%. Damage types absolutely need to be differentiated though.
