Maul animation bugged?

Has anyone else noticed that when a champion with a Mauling weapon attacks the game has a second or two long pause before the animation takes place?  Doesn't seem to happen for monsters with the Maul ability, just for my sovereign and champions.

Just wondering if anyone else is having this issue.

I haven't gotten maul on a champion yet but I've noticed that issue with many skills in the game, most of them monster spells (barb comes to mind), but when a hero casts sweep for example the effect plays out then the game just sits there for sometimes a full minute before applying the damage and moving on.

I have this with Maul. With my champions and with monsters.

And it doesn't take two seconds. I can go pick up a bonbon, go to the bathroom, pick up some stuff from the kitchen be back and it is still on halt. I stopped using my maul weapons although they are extremely powerful. It's just too annoying.

Happened to me with Bears - but only after around 40 turns.
