Oh well. All the best! =)

I strongly agree with what Kalin has said regarding faction differentiation and custom factions. Simply put all of the special race conditions and bonuses of a certain race in a "can only choose one of these traits only" in the faction editor, and tie all the special conditions to the race trait, not the race itself. Obviously the built-in races/sovereigns would use the default values, but I think it would be fantastic and very sensible if you could use one of the race archetypes
Currently when turned on, all particle effects last for the whole game (bug) which probably is a big reason for a lot of the crashes that have occurred.
Some settings are on max in the beta. For the full release there will be more options for lower systems based on what Frogboy has said.
I've noticed with your mod that sometimes Kingdom or Empire hiring squares don't have the champions on them, so when you walk on them nothing happens (or on Turn 2 they disappear). Is this fixable?
I agree with the currently proposed 1 tile limit with sub-tiles for specialization, and a town screen. Really, a town screen doesn't take you away from the game as much as you might think. It works fine in HOMM and Civ, and would work fine here. I say, continue the one tile with sub-tile concept that you revealed a little while ago, as I think it has the best overall gameplay and memory advantages.
Sometimes the servers that FE Beta attempts to contact each time you start the game are uncontactable for some reason, and so the game won't start. If you've tried many times and at different times of day, I suggest you email [email protected] to see if they can help you.
seanw3, you've really buffed city militia, haven't you? It makes a big difference to the competitiveness of the AI players when their cities can't be taken without a big fight and probably significant losses (although I think Fireball would make it a bit easier ;-))!
Yes, backwards compatibility I think is more important in business settings (although not 100% crucial). If we were not concerned in moving forward in games when it's the right time, then we may as well restrict ourselves to how many KB Bill Gates thought we'd never need more than in computers. ;-)
I second this. Frogboy, could you implement this some stage down the track when it becomes feasible? It would help both mods and expansions.
Although it would still be much better for FE as a whole to have a great in-built campaign, to give that WOW! factor and encourage more people to get into making campaigns because of the good example. =)
Some good points here.
Get the base version of Revo Uninstall, and hopefully that will be able to find and remove registry entries associated with the game. This should almost definitely work if you still have an FE install entry in Add/Remove Programs. I'm not sure if it can remove registry entries if the game has been uninstalled according to Add/Remove Programs, but it might.
Also, it is well-known and accepted that April Fool's jokes can only occur on April 1, AM. If it wasn't restricted to one day the whole of the internets would be overloaded for weeks at a time.
The turn before influence growth shows on the adventure map, the growth actually occurs, so even though it looks like you build outside your territory, mechanically you haven't. Also, the way notable locations work was deliberately changed so that you don't need to raise notable levels to visit any notable location still on the map - however researching quest-related techs can still spawn new notable locations, so it still isn't a wasted tech. Hope this information h
With the number of comments Frogboy, and to a lesser extent Kael, makes, it's easy to lose track of some that may actually not have happened yet. =)

Interesting ideas here.
So you're an Ignys now, or is that some other creature? =)
Sounds interesting.
Apparently FE is 64-bit aware (at least for Win7). This means, as a process, it can use up to 4GB of RAM, whereas 32-bit systems (and all Windows XP systems, even 64-bit) can only use 2 GB max for any process, or maybe a bit more if you play around with some technical settings.
From the information in another thread, Beta 3 and 4 could be fun, due to the addition of big faction differentiation and also a third resource for all cities in Beta 3, and dramatic changes to cities, tech trees and how they interact with the world in Beta 4. And if there is a Beta 5, which, like Frogboy, I hope there is, then it would be putting the icing, trimmings on what will probably be a pretty tasty looking cake by that time! =)
Anyway Brad, sounds like one of the most comprehensive beta processes for a game ever! :)
What about 1/1/6 cities? After all, some people hardly eat anything worth mentioning and don't do much work, but drink loads of beer. ;-) :P
