When I attacked the end boss with my army, which included my sovereign, the fight was done with just my sovereign. Luckily I had been pulling him along with my powerful hero and he had levelled up and got some good armor and weapons. I won the fight, not sure whether I activated Death Ward or not (maybe not) but I think I had decent fire resistance and armor.

I hope Elemental games (including any possible RPGs in the Elemental universe) NEVER go Steam only. Steam optional I have no problem with, but if the day came when an Elemental game became a "Steam exclusive" I would be extremely unhappy, especially since Elemental games have such a strong single player focus. I'm fine with more multiplayer type games being Steam only, however I would feel disappointed if a primarily single player game such as FE or any other Elementa
Are those soldiers all different? Try customizing all those soldiers and having to have the game hold all the different combinations in memory at the same time and then see if you want bigger maps on 2 or 4GB pf RAM.
They can definitely move more than one square on the first turn.
Did they get to attack you before you put your house and garden up, like the wolves sometimes do to players in FE before they've built their city? ;-)
Are juggernauts immune to splash damage, or do they just have very high dodge? A whole pile of juggernauts attacked my city (and you can be sure it wasn't pretty ;-)) and they didn't seem to do any damage to the juggernauts next to the units being attacked. Also, is the splash damage done to the units next to the unit attacked, or the units next to the splash damage creature? I'm pretty sure it's the former, but I'm not 100% sure.
Maybe the city is in the trees and the monsters are too smart/dumb to attack trees? :P ;-)
Looks like an unintended consequence of cheap, no wage pioneers and the way the game calculates power ratings.
Well, as long as your notebook didn't break from those big thumps. ;-) =)
Yeah, I've discovered just how hard a map with 10 Insane AIs on it is. I've played at least 4 games right through to the end, and all the times I have been beaten when a massively superior force assaulted my only city. If you are lucky with the town battle and have saved your mana and have the right units and spells, you might just be able to win it. But I haven't really got past the first big battle yet, except one game where I beat a powerful force (the first,
Yeah, I suggest you change the Category by Editing the post and clicking on Category. Hopefully they will provide some way for Outposts to protect themselves and for Outposts and Cities to be able to protect external resources without having to have an army on every square.
I've discovered what happens - it changes to an unbuilt death shard, and stays an unbuilt death shard until you reload, when it becomes a life shard. But Kingdom champions (including sov if a Kingdom) can't appear to upgrade Death Magic on levelup (6 or 7 levels of testing, so not conclusive, but likely) but if you hire a Death Magic hero, that gets Death Magic 2 from levelups or starts with at least Death Magic 2, you can do it. (So obviously you need to have pi
What happens when you cast the Corruption spell on a shard? I tried to find an Empire hero with Death Magic in a large novice map but I don't think there was one on the entire map. Either it was a fluke, or death magic heroes are not placed when a Kingdom has the traits Death Worship and Betrayers. ;-) :P
Actually, the current order is Monsters, AI, Human. I agree that it would be better to have Human, AI, Monsters. Tuidjy, can you show me what your custom factions/sovs for Capitar and Umber looked like (stats, traits etc)? Also did you use fast pacing? Best regards, Steven.
I think the devs should make it so that monsters don't get a turn in the first season. Too many times the AI or human has been attacked before even being able to put down a city! Having the monsters skipping the first turn would be a simple fix that would make a huge difference, in my opinion.
Money, plain and simple.
So why did they go past Resoln's city? The monsters are not meant to avoid them unless the faction has Master Scouts.
Looks like there are still some problems with monsters attacking humans too much in preference to AI. Resoln doesn't have Master Scouts so it should not be getting exempt.
As if it didn't already have a huge amount. ;-)
I don't think the human player is allowed to stack Burning Blade, just the AI players.
I think the game currently doesn't have animations for huge units for all types of units and mounts.
It's only units next to the unit attacked that get splash damage, but right now splash damage is just way too high.
I find injuries to be reasonably balanced, at least on Challenging difficulty level. It is very rare that I have to retire a champion because they're injuries are just too debilitating. Not sure how it is on harder difficulties.
Note AFAIK, if a World Wonder's city is destroyed, then that World Wonder can be built again. I was playing a game with Gilden as one of my opponents, and he got to all or virtually all the Wonders, then after I razed all his cities except one small one I found that the Wonders were available in my cities (all the other players had been wiped out).
First of all, some quests become inactive when you already have one of the same OR after you load a saved game. I kept on creating Quests with Altar's 100 Gildar cost quest item, and after a while, or after a load, none of the quests were triggering when walking on them. Second, I got to the last stage of the Arena tournament, and then some level ups triggered after the battle had started, and then the battle got stuck. I'm not sure if the fact that a Henchman got
