Brad, I think if some good ideas come up in FE that could work in WoM without too much trouble, then I think it would be a good idea to put them in WoM. Then that would prove that you still want to make the game the best it can be given the circumstances. Sure, it won't be ever as focussed and well-planned as FE, but don't give up on good FE ideas, if they could be put to good use in WoM! =) Best regards, Steven.

I agree. I think Fallen Enchantress should allow upgradeable troops, even though War of Magic hasn't so far. Best regards, Steven.

Well, despite this setback I don't see the end of all grassroots political opposition. And in Australia, even though we have internet caps, they have been increasing a lot in the ISPs I have had contact with. And we do have Getup. I think if a company like Stardock can stand on it own, then there is hope for us all. Obviously, you would only believe this if you think Stardock hasn't become like a regular corporation. But I think they haven't. =)

I agree, having some random techs shown at start and some shown after certain conditions are met would be good and possibly allow the best of both worlds. Best regards, Steven.

That is an absolutely pathetic state of affairs. Pure capitalism or pure socialism doesn't work - you really need a base of capitalism with some government intervention on important things. As far as I see it, extremes of anything are bad news. The US corporations and the US government seem to have chosen welfare for the few rather than the many. Best regards, Steven.

And people who want to play alongside their friends simply don't have the requirements of speed and quick wrap-up that most competitive MPers do. "If you build it, they will come." That saying is true a very high proportion of the time, for practically everything worthwhile to people. Don't put SP-style multiplayer (when the goal is fun and co-operating to defeat a tough AI team) in the same "too-hard" basket as competitive Elemental (whose concept simply doesn&#39

Thirded. Describing the current shop interface as atrocious is putting it *very* mildly. Best regards, Steven.

The universe may well have existed forever, and there is some evidence to suggest that the Big Bang wasn't the first of its kind (background radiation and all that). Since time (just what *is* it?) has not yet been defined particularly well, and even though the idea that the universe (or versions of it) may have existed forever may be hard to comprehend, it is not necessarily impossible. =) ;-) Best regards, Steven.

SETI@home was it called? Yes, it is a great shame that they have cancelled the funding. Private "profit or not" (ie. profit or don't bother) just doesn't work for everything. Some things are just better to be provided by the government. Government is a necessary part of society - too much and things get bogged on and inefficient, too little and things that don't make a profit will never be undertaken. And that is quite a lot of what we are capable of

And the way healers get experience in Wesnoth is by having other units do most of the damaging and then the healer landing the killing blow. But this is compensated by the healers becoming quite a bit more powerful each level up. Surviving an attack or defense only gives 1XP per level of unit, finishing off a unit gives (8*Level) XP or 4XP for Level 0 (weak but numerous) units. Best regards, Steven.

Would this be difficult to program? And do losing but surviving units get any experience from their side's actions? Best regards, Steven.
