Yes, good point. I think that part at least was purely PR/spin. Best regards, Steven.
Yeah, I think I get what is meant now by "Online Data Storage" ie. one's own web-site. Best regards, Steven.
If he is doing things out of PR, he's doing a damn good job of it. Best regards, Steven.
I've recently deleted a lot of stuff I had on Google Docs, that didn't need to be there, and left the stuff that I didn't mind what happened to it, or was protected by a strong (both number of bits and algorithm strength) password system. Especially with hard drives being so cheap (even external hard drives) it makes sense to back up all your important stuff onto the external drive (including things like Acronis drive images) and have that kept at another house, and for smal
Wow, all I can say is "Wow". =) I've just listened to that entire segment and I understand Brad so much better now. He really has a sensible head on his shoulders! I sorta got that from being part of these forums through the whole Elemental learning process (and I'm glad I didn't quit the forums when I initially said I would), but such a frank interview was very refreshing
Well, that's a different bug then (which even more needs to be fixed). Best regards, Steven.
I think this is due to having a similar or same quest on the active list, or already having the maximum number of active quests. But I agree, it should be fixed. Best regards, Steven.
At one stage it was superior to the PC, but they didn't do enough marketing and soon got jumped by Nintendo, and eventually PCs became better anyway. Best regards, Steven.
Quoting Frogboy, reply 137I was thinking that the distance the channeler is from the army would have some effect. either in terms of casting time or the umph of the spell. As you are probably aware, MoM used a higher mana casting cost for the distance. I like the idea of using mana cost, but I would improve the system slightly with what we have available in WoM that MoM didn't have. Not the distance, but the nature of terrain
I think it would be sad if FE did not include a "MP as SP" mode, because I think a lot of people would enjoy playing co-operatively with friends. We can only hope that Kael has sufficient say to do his own thing and does not have the same "dislike MP, all MP, even MP as SP" bias as Frogboy... Best regards, Steven.
Happy Birthday Lord Xia! May you live to have another one! :) Best regards, Steven.
Well, maybe apart from the target square, the game has trouble going *through* a settlement. Best regards, Steven.
I think the limit is 16. Best regards, Steven.
I agree with the Doc. Raven, kick up a big stink if you have to. We don't want to lose you! Best regards, Steven.
Yeah, this game does have some teething problems. Maybe give it a break for a while, and come back to it when you want to. =) But hopefully by the end of the 1.19 beta patches it should be significantly better, fingers crossed. =) Best regards, Steven.
Oh well, Australia does have other good points. And the games I like to play don't tend to be incredibly violent ones (unless you count killing demons in D2 as violent :P). But I tend to prefer turn-based games like HOMM2, Wesnoth, Civ4 mods and Elemental of course. =) And no, I haven't particularly got into Jagged Alliance games. ;-) Best regards, Steven.
I wasn't talking about healthcare vs. sickcare just in the US - I meant all Western countries, who tend to treat you when you're sick rather than try to prevent you getting sick. And yes, I take it that there are many variables in those type of "score" comparisons, with various results. I just know that I wouldn't be able to afford decent healthcare in the US (plus I wouldn't have the support I do from the Australian government). Best regards, Steven.<
Yeah, I think it is cool how there are "living items" in King's Bounty that get lower or higher morale based on certain factors (different for each artifact). It was really cool and I think, a quite innovative idea. =) Best regards, Steven.
Agreed. However when viewed on a money-spent vs. positive outcomes basis, some countries get better scores than others. Australia is not perfect by any means, but it has some things (like subsidization of certain medicines and treatments, via the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme) that are very good for a country to have for its citizens. Unfortunately, the US has some of the lowest positive outcomes results on a national scale based on the amount that is spent on healthcare (s
Me too. Best regards, Steven.
I forsee logistics being a problem regarding getting games out on time, however, I think publishers also have some priorities regarding releases as well. That being said, a few days isnt something to really be at arms about. Regarding Australia, you guys need to talk to your politicians. From what I understand, they have basically a tryannical stance regarding video gaming.
With regards to no R rating for video games, th
A big part of the reason the betas run so slow is because there's heaps of debugging code that's there to help diagnose and remove memory bugs. If you're basing the speed of the game as how it has been in recent betas, you would get a somewhat less than accurate view of its speed capabilities that it has when the debugging stuff is removed. Best regards, Steven.
I think a big part of the reason great older games had more depth and replayability is because they had to - they just couldn't rely on eyecandy to sell (because graphics capabilities weren't very high). Whereas these days, you can (at least in the short term). But if a game can get more depth today and improve upon yesterday's titles in some way it will still be remembered and played. Hopefully FE will come close to that and help Elemental be one of *the* games
"close to" a better game? Best regards, Steven.
