I want you to keep working on WoM Brad! A few feature tweaks, plus some added modding muscle, I think could do wonders for it. [e digicons]:sun:[/e] Especially the modding part. I know in most eyes WoM is a complete failure, but if you open up large parts of the engine to modding, including optional custom AIs, people could do some wonderful things with it, and there are

What do you like about Bitdefender Internet Security 2011 compared to Kaspersky Internet Security 2011? Best regards, Steven.
I always use Scroogle now. I have a much more realistic viewpoint of Google these days after learning about other dubious things they've done (such as sniffing on unprotected networks when doing the Google Maps, and the infamous, at least on these forums ;-) Doodle 4 Google of whose early form seemed to be aimed at correlating other information about a US child along with the last 4 digits of a Social Security Number, which are the only ones which are random). I will still use
I agree with Reinbad. (Although I think he means "refer" rather than "revere". =) Don't worry, easy mistake to make if English is not your first language. =)) Best regards, Steven.
Yes, please Frogboy, don't try to re-write history. You promised a number of things with multiplayer and you didn't deliver. It's one thing to look forward to a much better game in FE. But don't try to pretend that you didn't drop the ball majorly with WoM's MP. I can see now why people believe it would be better for FE to go without MP than for it to be stuffed up like it was in WoM. Best regards, Steven.
Wow. Yes, I can see why that fries your brain. =) And that's one thing about corporate research, I would think that it would frequently be high-stress. Not saying that academic research is less stressful, just that when you're always searching for new ways to make money I can guess that it would tend to be very stressful. Best of luck with it! [e digicons]|-)[/e] Not much happening in fheroes2 at the moment, the maintainer is busy in RL. As are y
Maybe, but in this universe that path wasn't chosen and it won't ever happen now. And part of the problem was the experience issue for this type of game - Stardock just didn't have it when producing WoM, but hopefully they'll have it for FE with the new team and the large game/project focus. When changing and learning, sometimes you make mistakes. It's just important that you don't repeat them, especially the big ones. Best regards, Steve
Well, I was more referring to fheroes2, but I guess that would have the same problem with turns taking too long (though only heroes can move in that game). But I see what you mean regarding Elemental. Best regards, Steven.
Maybe we could get some tips from tetleytea ? Best regards, Steven.
tetleytea, maybe you could help out in the AI of fheroes2! ;-) That would be a welcome application of AI, although you might see it as a bit limited. But if the possibilities of the game are expanded, there would be more use for advanced AI. But it would be great to have AI that is tough without needing to get resource bonuses! =) Anyway, just a thought. I suppose you are restricted as in what you can use it for. =) Best regards, Steven.
The problem is, most often the mentally ill can't make any money. Which means, in the US they would get left out, big time. Sure there are mentally ill in prison here, but Australia is not quite so capitalistic on a few major things, including services and support for those who can't afford to pay for themselves, the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme, and deferred undergraduate uni fees until high enough income to start paying them off. I myself am a beneficiary of soci
Yes, if the public is taking part in the FE beta, then *do* listen to them too, and you couldn't go too far wrong by taking genuine players' feedback and concerns into account before releasing. Best regards, Steven.
Hey, I want a job too...working in mental health is crushing my soul slowly...
Well, I'm not sure of what the exact differences are - but I daresay mental health is treated a little better in Australia then in the US (especially if funding is increased as both of the major parties have promised). Best regards, Steven.
Well, with KeePass, you can choose to use a Master Password, or a key file, resident only in your head or on your hard disk, or both, to provide the permission for the unlocking. To get the passwords from an existing LastPass account you know the username and password to, see http://www.computersolving.com/windows-pc/export-lastpass-passwords-to-keepass-stickypassword/ . You
It may also be to do with its interaction with Windows 7 (maybe). Best regards, Steven.
Yes, I really don't see why they haven't fixed this yet. Best regards, Steven.
There was a long way to go from the last public beta to a workable and fun game. There was a rush to release WoM, regardless of whether it made a big difference to the final v1.0 release and months after, with the teething problems with the new engine and all. Anyway that is old news. My point was that it looks like the same mistake won't be made with FE, and that's good. =) Best regards, Steven.
I think it was a limitation in the WoM engine, AFAIK. Best regards, Steven.
Well, I think that would be a good idea. But remember, even "rabid fans" (btw: that phrase has heavy negative connotations) did not think WoM was ready for release. So it's not like fans can't provide useful feedback, but I do agree that feedback shouldn't be limited to fans. Best regards, Steven.
I like the sound of that and I'm willing to harp and harp until FE is really good. Who's with me?
I know that it's normally uncool (;-)), but I think this phrase is appropriate here: Me too! =) [e digicons]|-)[/e] Best regards, Steven.
A sale has to finish sometime, and it makes sense to use the local timezone. However, giving the local time in terms of GMT (or whatever it's called these days) so people know when the sale would end in relation to their own timezone would be useful. Best regards, Steven.
Yes, I completely agreed with that post, so I should give it a [e digicons]k1[/e] too. =) Best regards, Steven.
Not quite quick enough! =) Hawawaa beat you to the punch. Best regards, Steven.
Grin! =) Do you happen to have an Octodad? ;-) Best regards, Steven.
How would you grip a mouse with tentacles? ;-) :P Best regards, Steven.
