I have been playing all the way from War of Magic to Fallen Enchantress and now Legendary Heroes. I have played hundreds of hours in the Elemental world through all these titles and two of the betas and still come back fro more. For me it holds up well to multiple play-throughs. I think my father has spent even more hours than I have but that is one of the perks of being retired for him; more time for gaming. :)

The cool-down would apply to one caster but keep in mind the AI might have more than one hero who can cast tornado. If you have several heroes with that spell in their spellbook they can each cast it once per turn.
I have had this occur on several occasions even during the beta. I don't think I reported it though. To be3 honest I kinda liked the idea of the bone ogre being more dangerous.
I thought Trogwarts was the school Harry Potter attended? The curse is supposed to be on your capital. If you look at your capital cities details and hover over growth it would have shown the penalty fro the plaque before you cured it and if you check it now it should not be there. I do agree with you that is would be nice if it was more obvious. :)
The dragoneye quest is difficult because it used to be the master quest in WoM and maybe early FE betas. You used to have to fight 6 Ashwake Dragons at the need to win by master quest. It was left in FE and adapted a bit but I do agree that just getting an Ashwake dragon at the end is not that useful by the time you are powerful enough to complete it. I always treated it like another quest I would use to gain another level or two before I actually won by th
A agree this needs to be changed. I understand the reason it was implemented (to slow down the human players) but it slows down turn to turn gameplay so much and turns into more of a grind that is not fun. Simply using all movement for any stack for any battle is oversimplified. If the human must get slowed then this needs to be re-thought and a more elegant approach used.
I agree that the issue is not "the heroes cant beat an army alone anymore". I don't necessarily want a single hero to be able to defeat entire armies on their own. I think they should be able to wipe the floor with any army that is behind them in tech and level but if they encounter the units at a comparable tech\equipment level they should be in some trouble if on their own. What I have a problem with is that anytime you get into a battle the her
I agree with KWM1800's general comment about the heroes being not as good in legendary heroes. I was able to develop more powerful heroes in FE and could get to lvl 20 plus even if I had two heroes in 1 army. The random traits in FE used to let me pick all the good ones and skip ones I found tiresome. Now with the new trees I have no choice but to pick too many of the tiresome ones just to get to the higher levels of the tree. At least befor
I find there are several intriguing daggers that drop but in spite of their bonuses their low damage just cannot compete with even a basic broadsword or two handed axe. If they allowed a skill, likely best in the assassin tree, that allowed you to dual wield daggers then suddenly two decent daggers becomes more attractive to use other than in very early game.
I have no issues with monster stacks joining forces but I would agree with Tavra that I prefer the combination makes sense. In related Ongr the Unbound news I had a game recently where is used the amethyst collar on Ongr the Unbound. It worked and now a very powerful juggernaut was mine to unleash on the world. I did have to rename him to Ongr the Bound though. [e digicons][/e]
I also am not a fan of the current "choose one of these two heroes now" mechanic. I would prefer a choice such as what Wizard1200 proposed where I can choose something related to my heroes be it an item, some special training to gain XP for one of my current heroes or an actual hero.
Although I do see the OP points I do tend to agree with davrovana's take. You are competing for territory and need to plan ahead and get pioneers ready and in position before you need to use them. Even then you can get another empire's pioneer beating you to it. At that point you grin and bear it or you wage war. Whenever I am clearing a green zone and I will plan ahead training a number of pioneers and getting them into position to grab t
This has happened to me many times. I would call it a definite bug.
You have mountain on one side, some space chewed up by the farm. I am a bit surprised you cannot build the logging camp but that could be because you're so close to the other city. I think all you can do is let it grow to level 2, make ti a town so your zone of control expands and the I bet you will be able to start building.
I have not played too much 1.2 but I am noticing a different feel. Two things I still see the AI doing that are not too smart; One is creating way too many pioneers. This is even worse for them now that pioneers cost population since it keeps their cities from growing. My recent game I saw stacks of two or three pioneers wandering aimlessly for Kraxis. Not sure if that is Kraxis specific he just
I have never had ti happen to me. Sounds crappy. It is supposed to affect all cities. I would guess, as you have also, you would need to dispel it on the original city. Does it show up in the ledger maybe? On the enchantments list........best guess.
I like Frogboy's idea of a lore pack as well. Would like to see more multi-stage epic quests come into play like the Dragon statue one. Alternate master quests would be cool too. I generally complete these quests each play through but it would be nice to get some more variety in quests of this scope as well as more variety at each level. New items are always cool too. Can you tell I enjoy the RPG elements o
Me too. I like the idea of being able to look over the stats and sov details but if that is too much work maybe just keeping your highest scores and the details that already appear on the score page would be cool.
I have built it before but it is more often just left un-built.
On my recent play through I noticed the sweep attack on my storm dragon had this lengthy delay too.
I think this made a better end game quest than the current one. You had to be seriously tough to beat 6 Ashwake's. Now it is an easier battle with only 3 dragons. On a side note they need to beef up Waerloga if that is going to continue to be the game winning quest. My most recent game I went out and nailed him with crushing blow with my high level champ and one-shot killed him. It was a bit disappointing. I agree with
I can add some data for two other FE players who I know well but they don't post in the forums. My father is 67. This is his second Stardock game if we count WoM. He did play a small amount of pen and paper AD&D back in the day My nephew is 17. This is i his first Stardock game and he never played AD&D
38, new to SD since WoM, I did play a bit of AD+D when I was around 12. I played a lot of D&D based RPG games in the 90's (like Baldur's Gate series). I don't entirely agree with seanw3's assertion that yonger people would not play this game. My nephew plays and he just turned 17. He may be one of the outlying numbers Sean referred to but not all young people lack the patience&
I generally prefer random maps. I don't recall ever playing one of the included maps so a $5 map pack do does not interest me much. I would be far more interested in new quests, items and random events. If you had DLC with all of these things and it included the maps I would consider purchasing it.
