Personally I believe that armies need more HP.. I usually let them stand behind and gather exp (and with that helath) while one or two champions do the dirty work.

Wanted to suggest the same thing... but mainly for bow/close combat weapon for my heros - so PPPLLLEEEAASSEEE implement :-)
Yep same happened to me multiple times, also part of the reason why I wrote this post
I'd encourage you to post under FE support reporting the bug, and please include your debug.err
I'd like to suggest the addition of more hero talents on sovereign , if I have a say in it more melee talents :-) My point being that I want to play a melee sovereign and therefore just put 2 schools of magic to the first level. But what am I left with then? Of course Discipline, Brilliane because I like +1/lvl and then? I can't even recall what I took... the hero recruitment thing and something else. It would just be nice to have more of them although I realise that I
I'm kind of disappointed with the AI. I got Igny's bow as a quest reward (thanks for this awesome reward!) and from now on stayed back as far as I could and let the melee enemies come to me. The only bad thing is that many melee champions/monsters that can also cast don't want to come to me. This would be fine if they'd cast damage spell. But no, they stand their and cast blindness and slow and let me shoot them down with my bow. Somewhen they realize that they should attack,
First things first: The game feels a lot more difficult, which I like (playing on challenging with dense monster, large map, 10 opponents). The injuries now really mean something which is great, although Irdael might disagree (as he is left in my home city with his 2 injuries). However I somehow got the feeling that my city doesn't have as much to do as before, as I can't recall an empty build queue from earlier game versions. And to be honest, I'm a bit dis
Sadly I also have to agree... the game I just started yesterday got bogged down because to the right I got a faction that won't let me pass and I'm not ready for war yet. To the left I got death demons... kind of hard with just one city and without mobs to kill. Also one happened to be close to me in every game.
Hi Brad, thanks for sharing looks good so far. Also thanks for (kind of) confirming Beta 2 for next week. I'm excited about diplomatic capital and crystals becoming more useful, always seemed to me like the useless stuff I use to get money and treaties from other factions :-) I have to wait and see but my first impression of more shards is bad... I always thought of shards as something essential, something rare, something totally worth protecting and kind of felt t
Glad nobody voted terrible
Yeah by the looks of the forum still kind of impressed by that. I voted good a while back and it holds true, still way to got but for a Beta I was massively impressed especially compared to WOM :-D I really had a blast with the game and know that it's only gonna get better.
I believe it's not too far off - I mean we had height differences etc. in WOM so why not have it in FE? But we'll see, patience people. €: and by etc. I mean like terrain bonusses/mali to defence etc.
Well thanks for information but I'm still a friend of agile iterative development with frequent releases. If some people deduce from a beta that the game is broken it's their fault and you can always proof them wrong with a next release. One of the main problems (imo) with infrequent releases is that if there is a change in their that gets bad feedback it is much harder to remove/undo it since from the introduction of the bug/feature maybe other features built on top of it etc
Quoting StevenAus, reply 73Does that mean upgrading regular units will be cost efficient in the next version , or just that the AI with bonuses will do it more often? Yes, we are having to substantially lower that cost.
NICE! Thank you =)
My heart just dropped when I saw the 0.80 and I was all set to switch to Windows and try this baby out :-) Anyway thanks for sharing, and aren't you a bit far away from your home city if the world still wants to murder you? :-D
(...) And one other thing to add, IF the game is successful enough where I can justify spending time on the AI post release, I can, like I did with GalCiv, let players opt into increasing amounts of CPU pain to ramp up the AI perf.
I'd totally love that. Although I hope that FE becomes a huge financial success I somewhat doubt it seems almost all the hard core folks got their free copy thanks to your gener
Yes everybody just stay calm and wait for the next beta, then we'll see how this plays out and it's actually the #1 reason I'm waiting so desperately for the next beta ;-)
Well i was already pushing for 0.78 last week soooo... main problem for me is that I lack the motivation to report already fixed bugs/game balancing changes so i haven't played FE in 1.5 weeks. Plus to me XP splitting is a huge change. So still waiting for the next patch, please bring it on... :-D Or even some hacky nightly build (Brad plzzz) :-D
Yes not being to target him felt like a big giant bug to me and I hope/believe it is. I mean were is the sense in that I can hit him with a melee attack but not use double strike on him? Fortunately I had storm to down him.
Ha sounds like fun, good luck with that! Any specifics on why the AI doesn't pursue the Master Quest? Will this be implemented later on or are there definite reasons?
Quoting Ashbery76, reply 50I do not wish to see talk of internal builds doing this and that.WOM had lots of that talk about internal builds doing the same.Beta testers should have the latest build. No they shouldn't. There are entire weeks where you can't play the game 20 turns without crashing because some major element is being worked on. The game can't be kept in a consumer friendly state all
Thanks for the update - sounds good. I'd rather see a new small update sooner (release early & release often, you know? - plus you guys not having to sort out the tons of duplicated crash reports) but well you guys must have your reasons and it's your call ;-)
No sir. This would get us back to HoMM heroes and I don't want that. I want my heroes on the field. I want to have groups of heroes out there questing, killing monsters etc... just a general would be horrible to me. Also I like it that mages are more vulnerable and have to pay attention so they don't get caught by riders.
And what makes you think one week to go? Last week after 0.76 they said 2 weeks to go if I remember correctly but then they pushed 0.77 which made me happy. Honestly I think that more releases are better and 2 weeks in my eyes is too long as long as the overhead for releasing isn't too big. Why? Well They fix, let's say crashes. If the same crash bug stays there for 2 weeks it costs all of us time. Us players the time to restart the game but more importantly the time to potent
I agree with the OP. You should be excited to see a rare trait because (1) Rare should be rare, and (2) The UI should highlight uncommon and rare traits to enhance excitement.
Yes =) Plus I have to say that maybe right now rare traits aren't exactly rare enough... I believe I got one almost every time I level up.
