[0.85][AI][Bad] Ranged (Me) vs. Melee casters (AI)

I'm kind of disappointed with the AI. I got Igny's bow as a quest reward (thanks for this awesome reward!) and from now on stayed back as far as I could and let the melee enemies come to me. The only bad thing is that many melee champions/monsters that can also cast don't want to come to me. This would be fine if they'd cast damage spell. But no, they stand their and cast blindness and slow and let me shoot them down with my bow. Somewhen they realize that they should attack, but then it's usually to late for them...

 

So what do I want? They should move forward and cast, not stand locked in one place and cast spells that don't kill me from there.

 

Also there have been multiple instances of melee units moving to a field adjacent to one of my unis and NOT attacking. This shouldn't happen, without counter strike there is no need to not attack.

yeah i found many situations like this

 

ai at this stage REALLY overvalues buffs and debuffs

 

most fights AI lose just cause even if in good shape it waste lots of turns to cast useless crap slow and stoneskin and curse and stuff

and when it actually start attacking i already halved their army with fireball and dmg spells

 

 

well this would deserve another topic i think anyway its not about ranged vs melee i think with the actual meta with lots of mana and all champions casting buffs and debuffs are quite useless

 

since at any point in 2 turns with 4 champions you can totally rape an army there is no point in wasting time to cast debuffs
