You know, this might not be the place but.... i've really enjoyed this ride. Was a bit rocky at some early times. But that was good cuz much humaness come to surface. Was a blast all of it. A predictably unpredictable rollercoaster. Big energy on the forums at times, from both sides of the spectrum. Through it all a core community coalesced and by and by we come to tighten up. Dropping off flakes and trolls while tempering addicts and fanboyz. Some been here day by day fro
Yep. I'm a Xia groupie, going back to Sep '10 when the very first thread I read (after buying EWOM at Target, installing, and going WTF!) was a Xia rant about incest in the dynasty system. I'll never forget that. He deserved a pony for it.
lol crazy days. i 'member back to when Xia was a raving lunatic like me. Now he's all mellow and respectful and reasonable like and totally made his amends. Enough to get
And for years, many times when Brad or Derek would talk about additions or changes to the game, I would ask about adding ponies. Over and over
Yep! That why i see the love in tagging you with a Brony Faction. Is an inside joke dating way back. Good stuff for many laughs. i thought it quite cool that Stardock seems to have played along.. opening a new door to the adventure of Lord Xia and The FE Bronies :) :) hehe

hehe, i don't think Magnar (pictured two posts above) can even smile, those kinda smiles scare the beejeebees outta him i'm sure i remember My Little Pony from back in the 80's when my younger sibling sisters were into it. i was young male teen who saw it as girly so paid it no mind. But now, at 40 something, i can dig the happy shiny of it all and might catch an episode or few ( Elfquest go

For good of the franchise, as far as helping new folk out and thereby increasing the numbers of excited folk, i'd suggest option 2. Show em how it's done on Expert without any tricky exploit. Do it from perspective of new player who isn't reading the forums regular and hasn't put much time in to ponder the exploits. Get some kinda basic E:FE game theory going on. Get em thinking along core lines. Is my vote :) Kudos to you Tuidjy for doin play-throughs. [

i'm seeing bigger monsters than wolves bears and weeny mobs at secondary city sites. Takes some mid-game firepower to end many of them. i still get by for essentially an unchallenged win on challenging, but understand player frustration, particularly if they haven't spent enough time with the game and its predecessor to know a bit about these quirks. i see room for improvement here. Workarounds are workarounds. Fixes and balance are something else. i

Back with Civ3 i tried to get a map swap thing going. i make a map and upload it to the collective, you make a map, he makes one, she makes, and we all got balanced unspoiled m

Bottom right corner of screen, click "Govern", then top of new screen find and click "Enchantments". The enchantments on enemy Sovereigns who capitulate and join your armies, cannot be removed, but they cost no mana upkeep and are not listed with the other enchantments.

i'm very much for normalized starts. Not same starts, just that all are weighted to have similar value. And would also be nice for sov and faction selections to have impact on map creation. Seems everytime i go for a horselord faction there is no horse in sight. Sucks to customize faction for a style of play the random map will not allow.
And it probably took up a lot more memory in E:wom. I'm really looking forward to the "future", screw 32-bit and ancient machines holding you back, then people saying it looks bland. But we have to respect that FE and its expansion was making it up to E:wom buyers. You can't do that by ditching their hardware.
i'm on one of those ancient machines (2007) and agree completely with all you've said. i do e

Magnar and a purple pony, something oddly hilarious about that http://i.imgur.com/ZhCAz.jpg Pony came after capturing a sovereign. This army has three defeated sovereigns in it. Each had mounts and head gear. But so far, every sov i've captured, will not equip their mounts and headgear. Something not right there.
That

Yeah i get that Monk Robe upgrade perhaps everytime. Don't upgrade armor much as a result. Sucks that we can't pick and choose individual gear upgrades. Gotta take the whole mystery lot. The crystal cost is the only indicator for the robes. And as you say, your stuck with the robes even when just seeking to upgrade shield. Just went through this last game with Bucklers. My vet spears couldn't upgrade cuz i miser'd the limited crystal for bow buffs only. Is a weak mechanic. Kin

This may be different than the OP's specific point, but to correct some error in the replies.... i never (or rarely) select the upgrade option when designing a unit. Yet i always have the option to upgrade, so long as the unit is within my borders, and so long as the unit has the strength to wield this new gear. It is my understanding that the upgrade option, just upgrades unit design. And has no bearing on previously built units being upgraded. For instance, if i select upgrad

Apologies if you find this OT sareth, but i thought of you when viewing this video. i dig crowd collaborations on the net.. at the speed of light, with no physical limitations, and some of the human social frailties reduced. There is future in this, i can't guess at the form it will settle into.

A Wraith race makes me think of wispy near ghostly creatures, hard to hit and damage. But i've yet to learn much Elemental lore so don't know their e-cannon. i agree with those who think the -1HP/level is harsh as things are now. The only thought i've put into tweaking the Wraiths is to give them some minor dodge perks while keeping the HP weakness.

How can roads be "just right" when they fail so frequently? i think complaints of micromanagement are oft-times misplaced. This is a management genre afterall. It is one thing to have dozens of busy works to do each turn. It's quite a different thing to have adequate decision and control. i think roads can be done proper with less micro-management than some people fear. For myself, keeping in mind some player aversion to worker units, i'd compromise for prog

Recently i've been RP'ing a reanimated dead faction (as best the in-game tools allow). Wraith Binding - free shard monsters Cult of a Hundred Eyes - Three teirs of spider units with one being available on turn 1 Enchanters - a couple unique weapons and Scrying Pond which adds +1 essence i take the no armor penalty to RP the weakness of old dead bodies. This race already gets -1hp. One thing i do to make up for that is to found a coup
