I do think that it would make some sense to have various troop sizes, if this could be implemented relatively painlessly. As mentioned it will improve the way it looks, but it would also be useful in tactical situations. Unfortunately it might introduce some situations where a small hero unit lures a larger sized unit into range of its bow but ducks back into a spot on the map where a multiple tile creature might not be able to reach him, allowing him to defeat opponents that should rightly t

For all of those issues with the blurry/dark 3D, you'll probably be able to solve them by turning off the advanced lighting (the check mark next to the slider, not the slider itself). You'll probably then get some little white overlay stuff on the 3D screen, but I'm pretty sure they're aware of all of this. You can be sure that they'll have a game that you can play without disabling things and past the 300ish turn mark come release. For future reference typically

You don't hit enter twice to get him to go because of lag, pre queued moves don't occur until the end of the turn, that way if you change your mind you don't have to have a load without move orders option like in Civ.

Before you load go to options, and select cloth map only, and then load the game. That may get you quite a bit more play time, depending on the reason of this crash. At any rate, I noticed myself when I cranked up a game that was over 300 moves or so in that the game sort of hung. I say, sort of, because instead of a CTD or something like I'd have gotten before the game got rid of the loading dialog and sent me back to the main menu - with one unfortunate caveat. None of the menu dialog was t

I was going to post this in psychoak's thread, but I like the idea of a thread with more a feeling of constructive criticism, not that he was going for anything more harsh. There are things I like, and things I don't like about the current city building set up. In a real town where you had a fortress, a palace, and a bunch of civilian housing typically the city would have a sort of layered structure. In a city with a hedge wall and a fortress and a fort, instead

I know it's frustrating to have the game spit out your kids with something like 1 constitution... And then, every level they get is just going to go toward trying to make up for it. They'll never dig their way out of that hole, eventually they become cannon fodder. I think that they should give us multiple points to spend, say if five points would get you one full point of speed, or move, then five points. As it stands to get a sovereign with stats like a number of starting adventurers I have

I had this issue in 2A and I was told that to be able to get around it load with "Cloth map only" enabled. This allowed me to play for several hundred more turns in 2A, however in 2B it seems that I was then afflicted with the "cannot end turn" bug that others are experiencing. This all may stem from whatever is being done to keep whatever currently seems to be eating folks system resources, and not turning them loose, at bay. However while it doesn't seem like everyone is hitting the old loc

I'm glad I looked around before reposting this issue. It seems to be that items are spawning too close to a location where you can't actually walk. It's right on the transition from cliff to beach on the coast, so it just seems to be a question of a bad place for goodies to spawn.

The dagger instead of a sword thing is pretty annoying, perhaps it is a placeholder until they add in some sort of rusty sword.

When a stack moves, the movement is only reflected in the move points of the top-most member of the stack. However, if you attempt to move one of the others in the stack, after you've moved the stack, you'll find that it won't let you move on from there. Actually, the box to highlight the spot where the unit is, shows up where the stack started last I checked (although I was looking after movement, rather than after city founding).

Indeed, it looks like your screenshots display an actual bug, as well as a lack of prerequisites information. I never noticed any of my buildings wander from where I expected them to be until I got up into the turns so high you crash trying to load a game unless you turn on cloth map only. I hadn't seen buildings move around like that in the 3D engine like that before.

What I'd like to see is an increase in population growth from the refugee camps. Think of it as the family of those initially displaced coming to join the town later. This wouldn't have to be much to add up over time and give more reason to add one to a town that is already level three or higher, also it seems thematically sound. I know I recently started a town next to some resources, and then noticed I was within range of building out to two refugee camps. By th

Even more odd, imagine my surprise when I ran across another Lord Relias! And here I was, playing Lord Relias! I dispatched the identity thief post haste, you have to watch out for such things, you know. I thought it was some sort of display error, but I couldn't ever make that unit display as anything else.

I do find that in the early game it is best to adopt the technique you describe, if you want to have one town that levels fairly quickly. But if you get a few farms under your control, each time you researched advanced farming techniques you'll be able to build a few more houses. As long as most of your towns have some food resource, you should be able to get fairly large populations in all of your towns.

You'll need to find the proper resource to place a farm, farms and other food resources are essential to the growth of a town, however fisheries are often an option to supplement your incoming food. Even places without beaches should be able to place fisheries if they are near the coast, although I believe they may eventually incur a penalty/not receive a bonus from being on a beach. You won't be able to spam gardens as effectively in beta 2, but once you research the proper tech and begin ha

My own sovereign got caught in enemy territory, due to the fact that the witches huts in wild goose chase create a bubble of your influence around them, and wouldn't properly get expelled. I brought up the dialog that ends with I'll leave your lands in peace several times, before having to declare war on them to move.

I just encountered something similar. When I zoomed out it almost seemed like maybe the lost library wasn't able to be placed because my city was too close to it. Eventually, I managed to make the building sound, but no building ever sprouted up.

I've seen the same thing, and if you turn on the advanced lighting it will go away but the entire screen appears muddied and dark. Either way when it happens I usually just keep playing on the cloth map, heh. http://www.wikiupload.com/0tfd9Wiv
