I was playing a game on a huge map on epic scale, and about the time my enemies were researching basic bows, the game decided I had lost the game by conquest. No one, not a single one, of the AI factions had died. I had not lost a single settlement, and had gained quite a few. The game just decided for no apparent reason that I had lost to conquest. Conquest by what, since I had everything intact and was making inroads on the most powerful opponents? I have no idea.

I have a problem with the "allied" factions, or neutral factions, not showing up on your map, not taking get out for an answer etc. I was currently ROFLstomping the two big

I'm not going to make another thread for this one, since they both fall under a miserable failing in the diplomatic AI. The AI will declare war on you, then sue for peace, then declare war, then sue for peace, seemingly forever. I am unsure why this is happening, but an AI I share no borders with demanded tribute, then never sent any armies my way when he declared war on me for refusing. Then every few turns he asks us to be allies, then immediately declares war on me again. So this is an

I have several screenshots of various AI enemies that are surrounding (and ignoring) other factions pioneers. They are hostile toward me and my units, but they will often ignore the enemy. What prompted me to go ahead and exit the game and come make this thread was when I approached an Enemy AI champion, and he merged his army with a neutral Plaguestalker party. The Neutral monsters were all significantly buffed by an eclipse random event, so given the fact that there are over 20 enemy units

Glad to see I'm not the only one who has encountered this issue. It is incredibly frustrating for an AI to just walk pioneer after pioneer into your territory, just waiting for you to get caught up doing something else. It seems like there are a variety of simple fixes, so I would love to see something done about that quickly.

Currently the only thing you can do with the AI is tell it to get out of your territory. The AI will come right back in the next turn, and it will happily do it every single turn. Not every time, but eventually, the AI decided that even though I told it to get out of my territory it would go through my territory to the other side, and settle. This wouldn't have been too bad an occurrence I guess, I had the audacity to play the game and not baby sit the swarm of pioneers telling them to ge

I agree, the trees as they stand are sort of bland. They help with the ridiculously random nature of leveling that was present before, but the problem I think is that they use the same upgrades as the initial setup. This leads to what was before a problem of "ohhh, this is an option now, I'll grab that!" or "Meh, there's nothing very good here, I'll take +1 defense." is now a problem of ohhh, I want this, so I have to get hmmm, three or four completely unrelated skills... that see

Hmmm, I suppose it must have to do with the program Privoxy, that I use to block annoying advertisements, I had given this some thought but given that Internet Explorer let me post and Chrome didn't (even though both should be being redirected through privoxy) made me think that there must be some other underlying cause. I suppose it's Occam's Razor at work, and I should've known that Privoxy was what was making it impossible to post on this forum.

I have often seen people comment on wanting additional differences between Wargs and Horses, besides a minor aesthetic difference. For example, horses have an excellent sense of smell and would likely get spooked if they smelled a large predator. Perhaps mounts could have their own morale, that could be broken. For example, not every horse is a destrier, your average mare wouldn't like the idea of riding toward fire. Magical walls of fire, or areas of the map soaked in oil and then ignit

It's nice to see that Elemental is still getting some serious attention, and that the problems with it are recognized and attempts are being made to address them in future versions. I may not have gotten exactly what I wanted with Elemental, but it's certainly making progress toward something I could recommend to friends. Unlike, for example, GTA IV which while being a triple A title from a well known developer, has received more attention from third parties when it comes to addressing things

I would love to see something like a reason to use smaller weapons than two handed blades, one of the great things about the Gladius or even a dagger is that there are always tiny exposed bits, for example, between the joints of armor. Most games take this into account, with a rogue with a dagger and high dexterity can often score hits that ignore armor or critical hits etc. As the game stands however, there's no stealth mechanic, no way to account for any sort of "backstab" beyo

For some reason, using Chrome, the forums seem to think that no matter how much I type into the "quick reply" box, the reply is null. Strangely, I cannot even get to any other type of reply screen. While often times quoting someone on forums gives you the ability to get to something other than quick reply, here it seems I am now stuck without the ability to reply to anyone on the forums. It is quite frustrating to be afflicted with some mind boggling bug that disallows me the privilege

I really love the new interface in Civ V, the popups wait on me to do whatever I've been planning before I have to select which cities are producing what etc. The art deco style is also something I appreciate, and the more natural looking maps with the hex based system are nice. Personally I'd like to have seen them stick with a more traditional square looking castle for the forts in Civ V, but that's just nit picking. The AI really needs some work when it comes to diplomacy and warfare

Instead of a breastplate you could get a few materials and some metal that needs to be reforged. If you're killed by a fire giant, there wouldn't be much left of you afterwards. However being killed by some less destructive means, there could be a higher chance of an item surviving to be looted. This c

[quote who="Robert Hentschke" reply="375" id="2781752"]I'm all for epic tactical battles but I think it's a horrible idea to say number of figures in a unit = epic. The current system wouldn't be the tiniest bit of epic even if there were a million figures in every unit. Changes to how combat works (like this) would help much more because there would be decisions to make. Right now I'm longing for the Auto-Combat button from MoM that would just move the u

My goodness yes! Seriously, I would love to be able to say "Iron ore eh? Meh, got plenty of metal, build a library!" How about a scenic view that can be used for tourism and prestige, or a monestary where it imparts other bonuses? There are a lot of ways to go about what they've tried to accomplish but the way it is now feels sort of confining. Especially where they're talking about making changes to the mana and summoning system. What about being able to put, instead of using a shard for jus

I did this, and then I like, restarted the campaign thinking something glitched. Apparently I wasn't really paying attention, I guess, to the dialog when I first went north from the second set of footprints and rescued some guy from the burned city. He told me I had to go back to the burned city and bring him a book, and I wasn't doing that. There really should be a different message besides the past the footprints message for those who followed the footprints, but still need to go back and b
