My only complaint so far is the party management interface. In order to equip anyone other than the party leader, you have to first go to the trade screen and trade the item to the party member you want to have it. You then have to back out, choose the target party member, and go to the equip screen. Too many mouse clicks! It would make more sense to have a universal inventory that all party members can access, or at least give them all a "trade & equip" button like

I just updated to 1.4 and started my first game in about 6 months. While very happy overall, and I feel this is the state in which Elemental should have been released, one thing that struck me is the lack of NPC's. Even the annoying guy from the first turn is gone. I don't know if it's a bug. bad luck, or they've been cut back to keep it consistent with the lore. There must be some out there, because I keep getting messages about A.I. p

They do, sort of. Left-click on them, then mouse over the "hire" icon on the action tab, and it will tell you why not.

When someone picks a breakthrough that reveals new quests, resources, etc. do those becomes available to everyone or just the player who did the research?

Thanks for the update, Froggy. I've passed your comments along to a couple of other boards like OO. The "shared mana pool" thing concerns me, but I'm reserving judgment until I see how it actually works.

I'm still trying to figure out Elemental Genetics, and why two parents, one with 17 Essence and one with none, would produce a child with 55 Essence.

I can't figure out how to do it. There's no "board" command. I have my army in the same stack, yet when I tell the ship to set sail it takes off without them. Stupid captain.

I checked my first city and he wasn't there I may need to double check that.

So my son is all growed up and become a man, but I can't find him anywhere.

I think it's absurd that you can't contact Neutrals without being next to them. Even GalCIv let you contact the hamster-people whenever you wanted once you met.

I haven't taken it over.....yet.

You went to the treaties screen and were looking at a Trade Agreement. Select "Trade" from the menu, and you will be able to trade for what you want. I've been trading horses for metal like crazy.

If we're going to be able to trade NPC's, it would be nice to see what bonuses they provide in the trading screen.

I've tried, but haven't had the Gildars to do it. I'll keep trying.

I just started another game under 1.06 after the hotfix. Again, I started with 2 food sources, a lost library, horses, gold, and metal, all within easy reach.

With last night's hotfix, I now find I can recruit NPC's even when they are outside my influence and I'm not standing next to them.

I didn't come to any conclusion, bro. I simply raised the question. And FYI, this was about the 12th game I've started since the Day 0 patch, bro , and the first with that kind of start.

I started a new game tonight on normal/normal difficulty. In the immediate vicinity of where my Sovereign started were the following: 5 Lost Libraries 4 Midnite Stones (from goodie huts) 2 Patches of Fertile Ground 1 Gold deposit 1 Stone Deposit I'm still waiting for the partridge in the pear tree. All of this before I researched my first Adventure tech. No one is this lucky. Could it be a

Is there a way for your Sovereign to acquire Books of Magic other than the ones he starts with? So far I haven't found any.

I understand there was an additional update during the night after the Day 0 patch. I didn't update 1.01 until this morning, but both the splash screen and Impulse still say v. 1.05. Are they just not showing the other digits, or did I get the wrong build somehow?

Thanks. I just updated this morning, and I thought I read somewhere there was an update to last night's patch, and the current version is 1.05.016. But Impulse and the game still just say 1.05.
