i imagine high end users will still use the cloth and sprite option. lol thats awesome
the CE doesnt look to me to be worth the extra $$$. I hope the instruction booklet is thick and full of pics. Loved opening up NWN 1 and getting a full break down of everything. Booklet was like 200 pages or something. Ya i grew up in the 90s too with video games. Genesis had some good instruction booklets. There was none of this pdf BS files.

You will be able to download the beta when the preorder will be processed. And when the retail game ships, you wil get your boxed version.
will i be able to get into beta 2 with the pre order. Or is that "filled". I imagine Beta 3 will be like
oh boy the devs got their work cut out for them with this new idea for turn based. Im all for turn based. But since many of us are hardcore gamers... we are drawing from like 100 different games over the past 20+years of video games or table top.

And I miss the research system of Fantasy General. And the music. Very important the classical music. Anyway Fantasy Wars and Elven Legacy are good games, with some flaws. King Arthur the roleplaying wargame is good. Really good. And hard. Don't try it on hard on your first run, you really ne
quoting post I hear talk from frogboy and such about multi platform gaming and they say that they cant put the games they want on a 512 MB console. A completely fair and valid point. But do both consoles only have 512 mbs of ram? The ps3 has games like MAG with 256 players. surely that would require more than 512 MBs of ram. Have any pc devs ever looked at the ps3 instead of the xbox? Players

This would lead me to believe that it is not very popular. If you go by that metric, World of Warcraft is the least popular and most broken game in the history of games. Blizzard's community is so huge that people primarily tend to post
ok im about to pre order. So let me get this right. i want the standard edition. Which says i get both box and i can downloard the game as well? And even though the message says " Beta access is currently closed. We will open the beta for access with the next major beta release later this spring" Means if i preorder the regular edition, ill get into Beta 2 once it opens up on this week or next?

If something is done right, it'd be pretty stupid to change it just for change's sake. This is the one thing that has me worried about the game. That changes are being made for their own sake without regard for whether it'll improve the game or not. My one comfort is that

The answer is yes to all of your questions, but you will have to be good in Python coding in order to create an RPG type game using the Elemental enngine.
Hate to bring in MoM system, but that game did ALOT of things right. A modern update and a few tweaks is all it needs. I played all those games but im not this familiar with all the mechanics of combat as OP is. Played a 1C game last night called Fantasy Wars. Almos like a tabletop strategy game. Such things as terrain mattered when attack or defending. Putting units in a forest square protects them against missile and cavalry, and hid them. Cool little crap i
Not really 4x. But there is a tile Turn Based fantasy game by 1C Called Fantasy Wars. Horrible name but it got good scores. Totally recommend people check it out. I played only the demo and i love it. I think the artwork is the same as this game. Well 2d artwork. Im sure the combat in Elemental will be the same as Fantasy Wars. Like terrain and bonuses and stuff.

thinking of HOMM or MOM. There is the 4 types of magic and then the white and black magic, holy/necromancy. But this game just shows the 4 elements. Well i guess we can just customize and create another 2 schools, if need be. But be happy to see the holy and dark magic already in the game

With the 360 and PS3 offering lots of hardware and great graphics its great to see alot of companies stepping in on console territory since i love console gaming. Unfortunately its usually the same stuff over and over, Halo or Gears type of games. Consoles need more RPGs, MMORPGs, and RTS made FORRRRRR consoles. That being said its sad to see how PC gamers brag about how the PC edition of game X looks 5% better b/c of smoother edges and softer shadows. And to me thats why PC g

I would love to see an online version of some turn based roleplaying. Even if the rules cant be as complex as D&D. ie there is no differnce between a thrust, swing, or running thrust, etc. You just attack. I guess it will resemble those modern day board games like Descent or Runebound. Heavy fantasy but you play with alot of pre determined stuff, like cards or tilesets. Since none of my friends are into any fantasy geek stuff. I would love to play some true RPG online
