this is got to be one of the weakest E3s ever. And i like consoles too. 360 led with MW3. Wow a multiport game that is a clone of the previous ones. No MS failed. Sony had the powerful vita at a cheap price. Thats great news. But why do people get exctied about yet more video footage of a game already announced? Gears 3 and Uncharted 3 have already been announced, discussed, and trailer and gameplay released. yet people want to see more footage at E3 this year? ya that

Hidden and dangerous 2. Even to this day military shooter cant do 1/10 of the things this game offered. Freedom to do missions in many many ways. Plus RPG elements.

I may fly off subject a bit here but does it strike anyone as being odd that some of the best games of all time up to this point were from the early 90's to the early 00's and a lot weren't on the PC? For me, there are a lot of reasons why games back then were intrinsically "bette

I think lore is important but gameplay>everything else. Yeah, it really is a tightrope walking that line between 'building an immersive world' and letting the player drive the narrative of their sandbox game. I think the best comromise is to make sure the game is aware of the events that the player is
I for one LOVE the artwork, and its wonderful to see you guys using it and taking it to the next level. There is alot of talk about the importance of lore. But this brings back MoM. To me that game had no lore, but i played it for hours on end. I think lore is important but gameplay>everything else.
Men of War: Assault Squad has a Skirmish mode where 1-4 (or more?) players can fight the AI on one of 15 skirmish maps. Granted you don't build a base it still comes down to strategy and tactics. Units are controlled individually but from what I understand the player with the least forces always get supplied first and you can and should gift units over the course of gameplay. It requires a lot of teamwork to conquer & hold against the AI and
i love the IG. Played a game where it was 2 IG vs Marines and Orcs. We were up at first expanding very fast. But the toughness of the orcs and marines in melee was too much.
Isnt Dawn of War 2 singleplayer also co-op?
so Jue “Leo” Li doesnt have a art page?
Jue “Leo” Li
thanks but i cant find any of his work on bing or google. :(
good to hear. Maybe Stardock wanted to build off the ideas, engine, AI of E:WoM but found themselves in a unpleasant corner when it came to story, lore, game mechanics, etc. So this small free new game is an awesome idea. I like the idea. But back to the question i asked like 20 times.... who does this amazing artwork?
I love the art on some of these spells. Do you have a guy (or gal) who just hand paints these in Illustrator? They're doing a great job whoever it is.
actually started a topic on who did the 2d artwork for the games illustrations for the booklets and box art as im in love with the style. But no one ever got back to me. All i could find in the credits was an artist w
Besides SC2 players cause all sorts of trouble. COD showed people are rank and leveling crazy. Anything to level and reach higher rank. MMOs showed people dont want to Roleplay or enjoy a game. Click click click more loot please. Warcraft was awesome, the idea of a living and breathing WC world had sooo many possibilities. But power hungry players ruined it for me.

Nothing against those games, but the fanboys make me homicidal.
No better than WOW fanboys. But i agree. I wish i could be a mindless fanboy of a game series that pumps something out like every 9-12 months. I do like Bad Company but even then im not getting much from them
i never liked the flow of multiplayer. no vehicles and killing/dying is too quick. Shame too. They deliver to their fans. too bad im not a fan. I like Bad Company more. ALOT more.
....so why doesnt this game more resemble MOM?
It's not about re-inventing the wheel for each instalment, it's about creating a unique experience for each. Diablo III, thanks to some fairly significant changes, is going to play almost entirely different to Diablo II. Any claims to contrary are simply wrong. Diablo II, in turn, played entirely different to Diablo. They changed the features of the game to better the experience while retaining t
Hopefully one day people will get sick of Diablo, SC, and WOW so Blizzard will be forced to make something thats even slightly new. I do want a WC4 though, but not if it looks and plays like WC 3.5 Like how SC 2 looks like SC 1.5 Orrrrr how Diablo series is still pretty much like Diablo 1.

And like people have said, this is a slump that will eventually pick back up. Market trends. hmm seems alot of people seem to be missing the point of my post. Hey thats cool just keep pretending your supporting PC gaming by buying EA and Blizzard games.

In any case, I might have to check out the demo.
while i heard alot of good stuff. Never seen it compared to Gears though. And i wouldnt either. It feels more like your like a super mech in a john woo game. Slide and shooting at 200mph and then slow mo. Gears focuses on something com
Sometimes people get offended and misunderstand when they hear PC gaming is dying. To me PC gaming is unique smaller developers making games that are always evolving, and usually should not be found on a console. Basically compare PC games of the 90s to today. In the 90s pick up a PC gamer and you have like 30 games reviewed every month. Usually alot of them were pretty good or okay.Filling multiple niches. Consoles back in the 90s had alot of good games too, b
GOG has like 3 free games. All adventure games i think
Maybe some people are better game designers than others. Maybe they have a more imaginative ideas with bigger forsight on what it will take a project. The idea of creating a world where theres only 2 races that are actually very similar in gameplay and creating a world that is bleak should be big no no's off the bat in a turn based fantasy strategy.
