played the first one when it came out. Too many movement issues. Controls were lacking. Played the second one. WOWWWWWWWWWWW. Amazing game. Best strategic shooter i ever played. So many ways to do a mission. Love the inventory and RPG system in the game. I tell my people about this game and i describe things that happen while in a mission, from getting my helmet shot off and picking it back up to having my friendly AI sniper save my life when i had a naz

i like realistic shooters, but most do it horribly wrong. Sometimes aiming, like in all Tom Clancy games, is tooooo easy. Other times in games like ARMAA movement is so non fluid and camera is swaying all over the place. Sometimes realistic damage is super unrealistic. Bullet to the chest from a 9m 200m away should do nothing. B/C OF ARMOR PLATES. My favorite tactical shooters are: Rainbow 6: 1. Remember you had to setup a plan before goi

I love SWAT 3 back in the day. Havent tried it recently. But me and a friend were talking about it and thought how funny that the theme of this first person shooter, is not to shoot anyone. You get higher scores to make them surrender and put down a gun. So the point of the game is not to shoot anything. LOL Played SWAT 2 also. I actually liked it. First tactical real SWAT game i played. I remember it being buggy as freak, but still great memories.

Ya im one of those people who for some reason was pissed that it was a stunt. I guess b/c it was done in such poor taste. And the community made themselves heard, and GOG apology was even stupider. The inaudible monks. but i dot support their idea. classic PC gaming, no DRM. $6.

If i can run Commandos 1 from GOG.com, A game made in 95, under windows 7 fine. Have some faith that this game will run for most Win 7 users.

I think alot of RPG fans and developers need to go try Demons Souls on PS3. After playing that game, standard RPG combat on PC or console just seems redundant and actually boring.
Nikitosina, even battle.net uses a client/server relationship, and I know WC3 (not sure about SC2) uses one of the clients as a host. Even if Stardock hosted the actual game (and not just as a cloud/connection service), they would still have to code the gameplay the same way. Theres just no avoiding sending and receiving data. Hi Troll, Thanks for another lection of client server tech Read my question once again please

I love GOG and would have been very disappointed to see them close up shop. I like and use Impulse, but I prefer GOG. However, in my opinion, it was poor PR on their part. Imagine if you were a current customer of theirs and visited their website over the weekend? Not everyone follows gaming news

I'll just get the games i already bought and go somewhere else.
alot of GOG fans have this attitude. I for one im no fan of GOG after what they did. Better be a huge apology in the form of a big discount.

The only appeal i see for AOW 1 is that you can totally customize your wizard with any skill in the game. But i didnt like how how the window was cluttered with giant buttons or the main movement view is about 1/3 the size of the screen. SM graphics blow AOW1 away. But it seems that alot of the mechanics in AOW1 made it all the way to SM. And i love the mechanics of AOW. So props to that. I played SM for about 10 hours. And AOW for about 20 mins. So its a bit unfair. A

Im a COH fan. To me its the best RTS out there. The idea that 4 well placed guys can hold off 12 guys is something rare in RTS. Im in the open beta as well, and im loving the XP and leveling system. Its maybe too addicting. "Oh if i gain a level, i can invest points into my rangers" I love the idea of skills and perks being permanent. Actually wish WC3 did this, since i havent played that game in years. And i think adding permanent levelin

This is interesting. Maintaining this website and traffic surely cant be too expensive. And i think that they only paid these run down developing companies commission from gog sales. And I know that a lot of people did spend a good amount of money buying games. Basically revenue was good and costs were low. So something is weird. Most likely they made enough money but they sold out to someone else. But sometimes you do see Pirate Bay have the GOG version. So I guess DRM for sur
