You are already aware of this problem, but just so you know. Pastebin said my debug file and auto save files were to large. I was in a random game, pretty far into it, at least 350+ turns. The game froze and said it was out of memory. I have: Windows 7 Home 64 bit Intel Core i7 920 6 gigs Ram Nvidia GT 220 1 G, I updated the drivers on on 9/2 Is there any other information that would be helpful.
Not really. Those "fanboys" as you call them have been defending Stardock. Most knew there were flaws and holes in the game. They are just getting rewarded by Stardock's persistence and dedication, which is what made them "fanboys" to begin with. They were just as right in defending Stardock as the detractors and antagonists by stating that Stardock would adress all issues with their practiced standards of custome
To add to Raven X (although I am not sure he agrees with me), I would also like to see the Sovereigns have more depth. Have more benefit from specializing in only one or two spell types. Perhaps extra damage, more range, etc. Without some benefit to limiting your spell choices, there is no reason not to take all the spell books. Not to worry though, the game is still rather addicting and I look forward to the upcoming changes. By the way, thanks for the quick
Quoting Tasunke, reply 205Yea ... Squads = Gods is kind of a game-breaker to me tbh. Game-breaker? If the AI will be able to handle squads properly, there won't be any problems with squads. Do not attack an uber equipped squad with a lonely champion.
Problem with squads is they become more powerful than the Sovereigns. I look at it this way, later in the game I would rather attack a sovereign party than a party wit
By the way, thanks for posting list. Look forward to the changes, tweaks, and improvements.
For a random game is there a way to select the campaign map. Being able to select the Elemental world map as the default would be great. Still have everything else randomized, but the basic land structures.
If you're still crashing with v1.06, please contact so that we can help you track down why and fix it. Anyone who's bought the game directly from Stardock and decides they don't want it can contact either or and request a refund (obviously, we'll deactivate your copy as part of the process).
Can't argue with that commitment. I'll
Clearly you were using haxx!!
Not even sure what that is
Bugs are a big part of initial impressions, but being unfinished is about far more then just being buggy. It's about haing poor AI, poor balance and having gameplay features that were clearly not well thought out or playtested and which do not work well with the game as a whole.
Well then I guess Blizzard is glad that I can overlook initial bugs, because I was part of the group that the computer froze almost every 15 minutes of play. For me the game was practicall
Blizzard got those fans by releasing solid, working and complete games back when they were still just a small independent developer. Their reputation didnt just materialize out of no-where. It was EARNED. Other developers that want the same rep will have to earn it the same way.
Absolutely, Blizzard is a great company and they earned all of their loyal gamers, including me. If Stardock continues to make quality games that they support then they also will continue to gai
1 million sales the first day on SC2 is about releasing a polished and relatively bug free game consistantly.
Really, I am a fan of Blizzard, but to say SC2 was relatively bug free is a stretch. They are still having crash issues, balance issues, units disappearing. Don't get me wrong, I'm enjoying that game as well, but they are experiencing basically the same problems. The good thing about Blizzard, and Stardock, is the support you get
Thanks for the patch
Enjoy the break.
What the hell is the water in your Empire? My daughter got killed by a gnat.
I got an email from sales today that my LE was shipped and should received it in 3-5 days. I am assuming it was shipped on the release date so I should get it today or tomorrow. Of course with the mail service I get, it might make a great Christmas present.
They have always said there were making a game in the same genre as MoM, not MoM 2. As far as sequels go for that function look no further than MOO 2. That game is the reason they didn't make MoM 2. What disaster that game was. I would rather have something original. MoM is a classic, give Elemental some time to iron out some wrinkles and I think you will be pretty happy. We look back at MoM now with fondness now, but when it first came out it certa
I did notice that I finally got charged.
Every time a hero or Sov levels there should be options to vary or specialize their effects on your Kingdom, no the mind bogglingly simple "add one point to an attribute" that we currently have. That is a "system" I would expect to see in games done during a 7 day development challenge, not retail production titles.
I like the idea of being able to select how a hero levels up. If I want a merchant master to just keep getting better at adding gildars
I understand both sides of this argument. What we need is an Aggressiveness mod tweak Or option in the menu. Something to tweak how aggressive they are but not change their actual intelligence or resources etc. As a way to add or take away difficulty and tailor the game to your style.
This would be interesting. Let it selectable or randomized for each Sovereign. You could have several types of opponents then. Have one a military expansio
I would like to see a benefit to selecting only one or two types of magic. Perhaps an increase in power or more spells; or the shards grant even more power if you have on one book. You could also limit the access to spells if you select more than or two--Jack of all trades, but master of none. Right no there is no reason not to select all the spell types.
Curious when I will receive this **bump**
This is a great Post Thanks for putting it together. +1
My two cents: Frogboy's comments: I could care less. Unfortunately, even if a paying customer is that unhappy with your company's product, sometimes it is better for them to find a different company--even if its a competitor. Granted, it could be said more tactfully, but I think he got his point across. The apology was nice, but in my opinion not necessary. PC Gamer UK: I care even less. I never have nor will I ever buy a product based on a
Winner Take All --My vote would to have some type of retreat capability. Have a button that orders and all out retreat that lets the computer decide attrition. Or a organized retreat where the player can move his/her units to a spot on the map that ends the battle, you can decide what units to leave behind to cover the retreat. It could also be possible to have those units randomized to show a final scatter. Random vs. Rich</str
