I wish someone would make a video playthrough of a game. I asked a while ago https://forums.elementalgame.com/401498 but no takers. I just seem to get to a point where I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be doing or what I'm supposed to do next.
I've been wanting to make more videos, but purposely waiting until 1.1 is released; as I see it, 1.1 will end up being as close to what 1.0 should have been and it'd be nice to se

Was the gamers' bill of rights changed? ppl are quoting it as "2. Gamers shall have the right to demand that games be released in a finished state." but right now it says "2. gamers shall have the right that games they purchase shall function as designed without technical defects that would materially affect the player experience. this determination shall be made by the player."

Even pre-1997 there were many different types of 'nids. Their backstory "overrun outnumber overwhelm" and "incorporate valuable genes from assimilated species to create new 'nids and upgrade existing 'nid species"; these were practically copy pasted when the Zerg backstory was being drawn up. Zerg are the bastard children of the Tyranid - both have changed since their inception, albeit very little. Similarly Terran Marines are the bastard children

both stacks of doom and mini stacks of doom have their disadvantages, i think id lean just a little off center in favor of mini stacks. best thing is that this is already being considered so that it doesnt become a turnbased command and conquer...blehk.
Quoting Hobsonzgt, reply 6Could just make it like MoM where you have a tiny transportation fee. It was 20 mana to move an item from a found location to another location IIRC. My vote is for just allowing it, but if there has to be a penalty, make it small. You could make it depend on the quality of the item, I suppose. Higher quality, higher cost.
this and the post above it. its a world fu

i too understand if devs want to make it a choice between x or y stat package, but making shield and wrist mutually exclusive doesn't make much sense from the rp standpoint. one thing to keep in mind is that a lot of times "less is more". the sovereigns already do have quite a few equipment slots. (especially compared to MoM, which I have replayed recently; their 'champions' only get 3 items.)

I've been withholding 99% of my frustration (frustration that only stems from my desire to win a top 10 spot) at how "if I was the judge" the points would have been dished out differently. I decided to think about it before just crapping on some of the things I disagree with; I arrived at the conclusion that (for the most part) when the rulemakers dish out the points, that's it. By seeing which submissions are most rewarded (vs. time/effort/creativity invested), that is

the domain name they got is weird, when people goto play "fallout online" theyre going to type the url "falloutonline.com" and maybe to a lesser extent "fallout-online.com". what is the deal with "fallout-on-line.com"? it just feels off. as far as the game though, apparantly interplay is moving forward with it even though bethesda is opposed to it. i *thought* bethesda bought the fallout IP from interplay back when interplay imploded, so i have no idea what this is all
Lol I didnt play Spore but I'm aware of how many users made creatures from different body parts . This is a cool idea, and to add to this I would suggest that maybe you could have the option to manually decide what randomly appears in your game. Like for instance it could look like this: X: Random Tiles (cosmetic) _: Random Units _: Random Building tiles Etc, in this case I want random tiles to

Besides my beef with Civ5 (different thread), I totally dig the "no stack of doom" and hex tiles that are rolling out in the new Civ game. Still it will be a long time before I pick it up, if I pick it up.

I'm keen for the Forgotten Realms & Greyhawk campaign settings, but as the game is now, with the whole "purify/corrupt the barren earth" mechanic, Dark Sun would actually fit pretty nicely here. Info about Dark Sun campaign setting here .

when i read the steamworks/civ5 news it means the following to me: +1 for steamworks features (i like steamworks features, and i like steam) -1 for steam exclusive (civ5 will only be on steam, right? i like steam but also like competition to be more toward what people would call fair. i guess in a way, steamworks is valve's way of competing with other distributors trying to show why their service is "teh best", but I dont want exclusives. if you knew how long i

This would definitely be something for post release...but here it goes: Has anyone here played Spore? Remember the feature that would allow other peoples creations (or only your friends' creations) to appear at random in your play-through of Spore? As people inevitably create new map tiles, custom sovereigns, and custom items - wouldn't it be cool if those periodically wandered into other people's games? You could off course opt out from sharing a

some betas are betas, and some are promotional gigs; this is definitely a beta. just check back everytime a new build rolls out (thursdays?) to see how fast it all comes together.
