It was an interesting listen. Not specifically mentioned, but relevant nonetheless, is the PR related to this "Elemental Army" promotion. You offer your fans a chance for freebies, and they "vote up" your game which is coming out soon on various game review/retailer sites, hopefully getting it more attention from those outlets, hopefully then getting better sales and a larger player base. Not only this, but that gets more sales for other Stardock games via new Impulse users, and better sales

I really appreciate the friendliness towards modding that has been taken in the design and execution of this game. As far as space mods go, Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri immediately comes to mind due to the amount of hours I spent playing that game. SMAC would have to be turned on it's head to take advantage of the RPG aspect of E:WoM. On the other hand, depending on how flexible the modding is, maybe it could be done. I'm eager to see how E:WoM, this, and other mods pan out.
