Following TheProgress' example, here's the full text of my quest submission since it's hard to read in the CSS div: ----- When I first bought Elemental, one of the expectations I had was that of active adventurers, going out and doing wonderful or horrible things. It was advertised as a game where you were the ruler of a kingdom that was filled with your typicaly D&D adventurers, who, good or evil, for better or worse, made things better,

Can you fix the CSS to add a scrollbar so people with smaller screens can read the entirety of the quests? Edit: And it just hit me that mine's still up there. I'm at work and chugged a monster this morning and I about had a heart attack. :D Edit 2: Also, after you vote you can't review the quest you voted for but you can still look at the other four. And yes, I voted for mysel

There's been discussion about things like armor that degrades with every hit so that weapons that do the same damage could cause more damage on subsequent hits, things like that. I'm still rooting for a line of site change to make tactical combat more like Exile or Avernum from Spiderweb Software. :D

Thanks Kenata! And from my experience with Linux - Almost all the games I've run across are open source anyway - So they'd cost money if they had to pay a publisher to distribute them. And with so many different distros of Linux it'd be impossible to make something as versatile as Impulse that would run smoothly on all platforms. I know a lot of software does so successfully, but only when it's specialized for a generalized version that utilizes specific desktops and su

It's okay. I've put my foot in my mouth plenty of times and not even gotten my feelings across. At least he got across that he was frustrated, if not the reason. :D

I didn't realize that 1.19 wasn't 1.19a until I saw that after it updated - I'd not seen the patch notes in the forums. I'm testing around with it now. I hadn't played when I assumed I was back to 1.11 so I'd not checked the version number. But since the update notification said 1.11 I was confused.

http://www.4shared.com/file/ffkGUHyu/Elemental_Testing.html Tried to save on turn ten. Was going to do a play by play analysis but didn't get that far. Included are two save files, settings, and the debug.err file in a zip. OOM on save.

Lord Xia, you need to stop trolling and trying to derail the thread. Stupid fanboi. Keep talking and I'll stick you in my re-education facilities with the rest of the trolls. XD

I was actually in the process of editing my post when you posted. I kept track just in case I was mistaken about their intentions. And now that there's clarification I can understand - It'd be like me buying the collector's copy like I did for an extra $20-30 and then having the exclusive content mailed out for free to all the people who bought regular copies.

So it just occasionally tells me my beta is old and to jump to the pre-beta patch? :D Not that I'm complaining. I'm back to 1.11 and glad to not be having crashes again for a while. Can't wait for 1.2.

If I win the lottery I'll buy everyone on the forum an uber PC. And there's a 35 acre peninsula on a local lake for 2.5 million that would be perfect for my anti-zombie fortress. It tapers to a narrow bit and then fans back out into the peninsula making it almost an island. :D Not trying to derail the topic or anything. Anyone else see what I see and have an explaination? I know 1.19 is a beta, but I just wanted to double check. And I just realized I uploaded the wrong one (i.e. didn't crop). If anyone has issues I'll just reupload.

I have Windows 7 Ultimate and I'm running on just an Intel Core 2 Duo 2.6ghz quad and 2GB ram. My video card is an old NVidia card with 512mb DDR2, and I can run just about anything. Not on top specs, but not badly either. So in my opinion, just about any of those configurations sound good. My brother's always used AMD systems, but I've been on an MSI socket 775 for years so I just upgraded the CPU. My next goal is to update the power supply so I can raise my video card to a G

For the 90's it was sort of the same - Once we hit the 1GHZ mark though it shot off to 2-3ghz, then dual core, quad core, etc. I was running Windows 98 up until 2004 on my old machine. No reason not to. It played all the games I wanted and did everything I needed. I only upgraded to XP because I moved from 333mhz/128mb to 3.0 ghz/2gb. XD Bit of a step up.

I'll never buy a Battlefield game again after what they did to me on 2142. I bought the original game, then I bought Northern Strike, and Northern Strike ended up an a different EA account and I couldn't play it even though I'd linked my three accounts together. So I basically just wasted money. I submitted multiple tickets, and each ticket never got a response except an email going "If you don't respond to this email within XXX amount of time we will assume your issue has been resolv

We almost had nuclear energy but then there were like three or four incidents when they were first getting started and now it's all fossil fuel again. I want nuclear power plants. Or microwave power plants like in Sim City so I can 'accidentally' point the beam at someone.
