I forgot all about that checkbox. Either way, I used it and set my resolution higher, which worked for allowing me to bypass the error message regarding resolution. But I still get a black screen with an error box saying "Failure to initialize display" with an okay button before killing the application. In November it won't be an issue because I'll be living with my fiance in a duplex, but for now I travel with my netbook and spend long periods of time between her house

During the campaign, your character stumbles upon one of the element crystals in a temple, and is tempted to remove it from there but refrains. This establishes in Elemental cannon that the crystals themselves are not part of any network, but indeed are condensed magic. So wouldn't an empire be tempted to form a scouting party to go out and physically move large crystals within their territory? This would encourage early game exploration and also allow smaller
Congrats on the baby And Secret of Mana was absolutely amazing. I still play it on an emulator.
12. Bring back the out of memory crashes, but make them a randomized element so you _never know_ when it's going to crash. Or even make an Element of Fail, where you can cast spells to crash your opponents computer in multiplayer.
I submitted a map a while ago and noticed that not only has that map not gone up for upload, but the total number of maps hasn't increased at all, or at least on my end. Are there issues with the map moderation going on?
Any chance you guys at Stardock can post a link to show us how to unlock these settings? This would at least be a temporary solution so I could play away from home. I found some things on the registry that were for Windows Vista. I found the same settings in my Windows XP netbook but they didn't have the same effect. I had to restore my registry after some DX errors.
Is there a virtual desktop option that creates a scrolling desktop effect for Windows? So that Windows can offer the 1024x768 screen size on smaller screens and we can just scroll with the mouse in windowed mode? (Or so Elemental will pass the monitor check and _then_ load with the pref.ini file specifications) I remember Windows 95/98 having scrolling desktops from back when I used RPGMaker 98 and it required a larger desktop than what I had. &nb
Especially considering the amount of lore the publishing company helped create, a list of names for each faction would give a less sandboxy feel to the game and more ability for modding specific factions.
Anytime. It looks like a lot of people have had the issue, and Stardock's working hard to replace lost shipments. Honestly it's better this way. You're getting your copy after a good deal of patching, meaning you won't get the initial "OMGWTF" shock if it happens that the day 0 version kills your system like it did mine. :p So after you get it don't forget to patch.
Did you install Impulse and double check you could download the digital copy? That will be your first clue as to whether it processed at all. If it does let you, then see if you can get a tracking number. If it doesn't, grab your digital receipt and email Stardock directly. [email protected]
Airships anyone?
I'd like this question answered myself.
The people who make statements about you needing to kill yourself, etc, are the same as the people that act like someone murdered their puppy when a celebrity gets a divorce.
As far as memory leaks go, if it's due to the hardware, then that would entail that some function being called upon by the game in reference to your graphics adapter is somehow flawed, not the game itself. Or that the game is designed with one version in mind that may have a slightly different reaction than previous versions. But a lot of people here utilize new technology and the latest drivers and still suffer the same crashes. Also, most of us have run programs that are much more sophistic
In regards to item stacking: Limit of 10 rings, amulet or two, etc., due to body part accessibility is good, but perhaps a balancing of this (To prevent people loading up with 10x vision enhancing rings for scouting, etc) is to limit how many magical items of each attribute you can equip. Or an attribute cap on the items you can equip (Mod-friendly caps of course) so say you equip the berserker band for +3 attack, the -3 defense means

Legatus Legionis Sometimes a handful of peasants just can't do the job of taming the wilds. That's where Legatus Legionis comes in. Due to the centuries of war and the ensuing cataclysm in Elemental, it stands to reason that more was lost than just the standard practices of metal working and blade forging. Centuries of war breed economies and societies dedicated to war, as those that did not follow such tides would be overwhelmed for the mere sake of survival.
There was no real info regarding it and I just saw "Beta" "Buy and join beta" "Beta phase four". This was the only place I found the deadline bits. But it's okay. I purchased and the game comes out this month I believe.
XD I can't help it. Nothing better than going home after a hard day's work and cracking open a cold one. Erm Replying to dead threads.
>.> I was all excited skimming the beta forum and went and pre-ordered thinking I could join the beta. Oh well.
