Riley_Kadin, I know you're trying the .net 4.0 fix right now, but just in case, try this . And while I'm not familiar with the exact programming language and techniques utilized by Stardock, the Elemental team may want to check out this if <a title="MSDN Library Entry on Side by Side" href="http://msdn.micros

Swords & Soldiers DeathSpank: Thongs of Virtue Flight Control HD Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light Sid Meier's Civilization V Mafia II All Steamworks, none on Gamersgate (I typed the titles as posted here into the search engine) - I did find a few that were "Steamworks enabled" (Like Football Manager), but not actually built with the Steamworks API. I also found games that are past the 6-month/year mark. But those are past the initial profit perio
Ah, I missed that part about the research and stuff. The tech trees do seem a bit lacking - I'm working on modding it to be more fleshed out. So, if FE had floating bits of land that you could plant a city on and would randomly move around the map, or alternate dimensions/underground areas that were conquerable, would that make it more interesting? :D Yes, I'm going to keep throwing this in, along with the line of site making tactical battles more interesting.
Quoting Frogboy, reply 17If someone wants to buy a Steamworks title, buy it on Steam. Or Direct2Drive. Or GamersGate. Or Amazon, Gamestop, Wal-Mart, etc.
Only D2D has actual "Steamworks" titles, because it's run by IGN that doesn't compete with Steam. Gamersgate does not, and Amazon isn't a Digital Distribution company. Gamestop and Walmart sell physical copies and don't compete with Steam, but the physical co
oh and you can add DNF to that list of Steamworks games...
Yep. Indeed we can. Also, didn't mean to type so much - Chugged a bunch of caffeine and it's my day off. Also, I didn't clarify quite as much as I should have in my original post - I know that there was a controversy previously with Steam getting exclusive release rights for Digital Distribution for Civ V (Don't know what ended up happening with that) and that wasn't anything to do with Steamworks. The
@mentalinstra and other medium advocates. If the memory issues are taken care of, for those that say medium maps, what about large maps with more AI's present? This would allow for that same competitive feeling and allow for even more epic campaigns at the end.

I immediately used that tutorial posted way back about making larger map sizes. It crashed my computer so many times. :( I love The Real Faege (sp?) because it's such a large map with large landmasses and lots of room for expansion. I remember the old Civ II WWII scenario where it was Europe only. The map was huge - There were so many cities and so many nations. When you played Russia, even though you were huge it took so long to mobilize because of it. </

When I unscrewed the small panel at the bottom, it was only the panel for RAM! the Hard Disk is inaccessible unless I remove *all* screws and figure out how to pop ou
Hopefully this will at the least be something that can be implemented when they add scripting modability.
Like I said about the main point of the AI and the game itself - There's new people there, Brad is back doing his job and his job only, and it'll take a bit for everyone to get everything sorted out and churn out fixes. It wouldn't make sense to put a lot of effort into a new AI, because just like the mods, the AI would have to be redone every time a change was made to the core game. If you notice, people are still having OOM issues. The game is still being worked on. We're lucky Star
It's a beta patch for 1.2. Unless you want some frustrations, I'd not move forward just yet, but you can toggle show beta versions in your options on Impulse.
A friend of mine recently introduced to me an optimization method called "Curiosity driven learning". We use it to solve complex multi-parameter parameter problems that come up in materials physics. The great thing about this method is that as it iterates, it balances two competing objectives: (1) to try to find the best solution with the info on hand right now and (2) to satisfy curiosity by constructing a consistent internal model of the world.
I've harped on this before, but can I suggest line of site? :D So you can't shoot arrows through trees, and area spells can be more tactically viable so you can drop them next to a tree someone's hiding behind, or even an environment that reacts to certain elements? (Fire spells scorch the earth, water spells make mud and alter terrain, etc?) I know the latter is more complicated. But the line of site just seems like it would be an easier implementation.

Yeah they promised a good game, ya they screwed it up, ya a lot of people were made angry. We've covered this ground a million times. Stardock is going above and beyond to make ammends. I like filter 2 because it seems there's more contrast and it's less gray, but it also seems there's too much of a yellow tint to it. Any chance of getting a filter somewhere in between 2 and 1? 1 looks like the sun is a flourishing bulb, same with 3. 2 looks like there's a normal sun but it's casting much more colored light than it should - It needs to be closer to natural sunlight. Or maybe just make the green less yellow so the sunlight makes it look normal.
I want a silver flute that when given to a bard adventurer that's stationed in a city will increase prestige.
On the quests, they're all quite good. I like Dark Rising and Demon Lord the most, but as they are quite similar in some ways I'm having a hard time deciding This is fairly funny. In my original concept, the Darkling invasion in chapter 3 was actually supposed to be represented by minor factions spawning, but I thought this level of darkling cohesion was a bit outside the lore, so they became raiding camps.
</p

It's okay, Lord Xia. I went and grabbed my big white windowless van of empty promises. If you want to step inside, I promise I'll make things better.
