Also, I've never really gotten a hero above level 8 in EWOM; are we thinking of letting the experience point progression drop a little bit, to allow for more traits to be selected?
I routinely end up with hordes of level 12+ heroes. Any of them that aren't adventurers are placed in whatever city they'll help best, and adventurers travel around with my sovereign specifically just to kill monsters and level up. But I run large maps and typically have games that last into the t

It was hard to shave this down to 5,000 characters. I had to remove apostrophes, spaces after periods, and the spaces between paragraphs. I built on the lore of the quest entry I made previously. Here's my entry in an easier to read format: ----- Blooded The original opening of the Gates were performed prior to the entrapment of magic within the Elemental Shards, and wi
On a side note, I recieved this error several times last night - It was timing out on trying to connect to the internet because I had too many background processes running. Even though my computer was running fine (Quad core, radeon 5850, etc) for some reason Elemental lagged because of everything I had running. Nothing that I was running at the time was even touching the internet or the drive on which it was installed either. I was extracting a 14gb file on my storage
Stupid question, but when you say "The shortcut didn't create any file by the name you indicated?" you're saying that after you ran the program and crashed out, there were no files, correct? Not that you created the shortcut and went strait to looking. I'm not saying you're ignorant by any means. But I've worked with people that would have not actually run the program. Whether it's through ignorance or just a brain fart, it happens. Also, CariElf, prepare to receive disturbing demotivation
Question: If a faction dies without dynasty relations, will it just go to the heir? Or be split evenly?
I never even knew what a TIE Defender was until I read the Rogue Squadron/Wraith Squardon X-Wing quintets. It's been so long since I've read any Star Wars. I stopped reading when the New Jedi Order books started coming out. Just ran out of time.
I'm sifting through all the tags regarding elemental shards before I work on that part of my mod, and I have some questions for anyone that's able to answer them: WaterShard - This appears in the xml, and I can't determine where "types" are determined, so that I can add additional shard elements. - Does this mean there is a greater chance of the shard spawning on that type of terrain? <H
I got PDANet for my Droid. It's better than the cable service around here and comparable to most DSL speeds. 2/mbps down, 1 up. One time charge of $30 was worth it.
The memory leaks are fairly well gone for me unless I play for hours at a time, but I'm starting to see a lot of slowdown like pre-1.11. Also, there's a very specific bug from a "ghost unit" that sticks around on my save games and is still present. If it's still there on 1.19f I'll upload that save game.
After checking out some of the reviews I think I'll be passing completely on DA2. DA:O was originally inspired by games like Baldur's Gate - Tactical RPG's that had lots of choices and an epic feel. Certainly DA2 looks like it deserves the 8-9/10 ratings it's recieving, but it looks like they "fixed" things that weren't broken and by "fix" they dumbed things down. Sure, it's nice to have the main character voice acted, but I'd have rather had more choices, not less. I'd have thought this woul
I can understand on some levels - i.e. you've maxxed out your main character in whatever MMO you play and your groups is in desperate need of a healer, but you're a DPS/Tank class, of which you have too many. So the guild pools money and opens a new account for guild characters - Basically fill-ins, and pays someone to grind for them. But in something like Starcraft, there's no point. You're signing your own death warrant, and you're lining up to be humiliated by higher skilled player
It sounds like the UI may have been pushed to a Mass Effect 2 style - Minimalized with skills perhaps appearing with a menu that you can get to when you pause the game with a hotkey? I wasn't even thinking about it coming out. I haven't even bought it. I was a Dragon Age Collector Edition purchaser, but i didn't buy Awakening or anything beyond that first one. The game was decent and I didn't trust the DLC's. But then when Witch Hunt came out, I couldn't help myself bec
I meant I edited the missions so the craft was available for them, not added the fighter to the game. XD
Original TIE with shields. A bit slower and less maneuverable, but still better than an X-Wing and less explosion-prone. Grand Admiral Thrawn realized he didn't have the sheer industry and manpower of Palpatine's Empire, so he refit TIE's with shields so both they and pilots would last longer. Higher costs per-fighter but fewer costs for replacement, repair, and training of new pilots.
I remember changing some
I remember when Halo 2 had come out and there were talks of a second Halo trilogy that would be a dumbed down story type game with some minor FPS elements. It angered me, because most FPS type games are fairly simple and straitforward already - Why dumb things down even more? I can't find any articles pertaining to this discussion, but that doesn't surprise me now that Bungie is out of the loop after Reach. These talks were coming out around the same time as the first news of a live action Ha
I was disappointed when I went from XWing Alliance to the console games "Rogue Squadron" etc. It would be awesome to see them recreate one of the original games at the least. I'd love to see X Wing and Tie Fighter tied into a new game on one of the current gen consoles. Playing X Wing over Xbox Live would be something - I can't think of any decent space based simulators on XBox anyway. I'll always prefer it on PC, but since they're focusing on games that can cross PC an
I played XWing Alliance myself. Never got around to the older ones, but Alliance was amazing.
The portrait issue is the most annoying thing I have ever seen in a game since I started playing this kind of games. Everytime the devs say they fixed it and it's BS! Units get portraits from other units randomly during the game, fix it once for all Jesus Christ!!!!!!
Yes please. Do you by any chance get the bugs where there's a "ghost unit" that appears, but you can't click on him and you can move unit
I have this problem sometimes - I end up having to move every single unit. If that doesn't work I reload the turn and then move every single unit before I ever hit the end turn button. Auto save has saved me a lot of times.
Yep. You'll be getting massive discounts on future expansions if you buy before FE comes out. And while the AI isn't the greatest, there's mods that make the game more interesting, and things can only get better.
I've been playing on a large map for over a thousand turns now. I'm just getting a feel for things now that there have been more changes and tweaks, so it started out with the world and AI's all at normal difficulty. I built a mega capital, every wonder in the world in it, and once I learned every spell I replaced all arcane labs with tech producing buildings. Destroyed land and raised mountains to create three chokepoints around my city, with a city in each choke point, essentially m
http://www.4shared.com/account/file/mNRGSRrZ/debug_5.html Crash to desktop, general program has stopped working error. I've also run across the unable to continue turn bug, but if I move every single piece and use up the moves on my fortified units it seems to reset for a few turns, but on a large map it's a pain to move so many pieces back and forth every few turns.
XD So it says "For more information go" *link*. I click on the link on the main page, it takes me to a forum post that says the exact same. I click on the link in the forum post, it takes me to the same page. IT'S A TRAP.
http://www.4shared.com/account/file/flY8Ak5E/debug_4.html Actually made it at least a hundred turns further. This crash was an actual OOM. And to maintain chronological order I'm just going to make further posts with each consecutive crash instead of updating the first post.
http://www.4shared.com/account/file/xK9b2D6v/debug_3.html Just loaded it and about ten-fifteen turns in it crashed again. I'm just going to keep going I think. I'll edit this post for all the future crashes.
