You will find fisstech on some enemies and even in some containers. The investigation does have four different outcomes but it is a good one. I have never completed the game always get bored of it in the 4th chapter. It is a good idea to to lvl up all skills a little but to concentrate on a select few that you like. The Witcher 2 is gonna be awesome. Deep deep down I kinda wish I could design my own witcher and how he looks than play him b

Hope it is like Morrowind. Need all the old skills back, need to have no scaling, and IMO they need a better engine for designing faces. Combat was fine but it does need better AI and it needs the magic system to be overhauled so it is more fun than casting the same few spells over and over again. I hope it is in the Argonian home lands.
Actually he isn't the only fantasy author to do this but perhaps one of the more famous. Robert E. Howard did this type of fantasy back in 1932 and he did it well. I love the stories of Conan and his comics (most of these are based on Robert E. Howard's Conan not written by him). Nice dark fantasy that was well written. I really do enjoy Martin alot but I am gradually finding more and more authors that can and do push him down the author list. There are so many new authors with a fres
Carcassonne is another great tile building game with alot of strategy.
Check your folder called save in you install folder. Sometimes it makes a different folder for saves. You can take the files and transfer them to the default folder under save. SilentStorm/save/default
http://www.strategycore.co.uk/forums/Silent-Storm-f34.html A good forum for Silent Storm
Ok here you go. A mod and a link to a mod tool for adding and removing mods like the no panzerklein mod. It is a list of S2 mods. Very very few. [e digicons]:'([/e] http://www.strategycore.co.uk/files/index.php?cid=33
I tried changing the resolution through the .cfg file but as far as I could tell it just stayed at the 1400 x 1050 res. No difference I could tell. I will look for the way to remove the pazerkleins. I played it once before like that was alot better.
Just started a new game with a german scout. so far have done 3 missions just using the scout. Will get the mod to remove the panzerkleins and see if I can complete it. So far alot of fun but it may become impossible.
I picked up "The Scar" by China Mieville but realized I need to get a few before I start reading it. I am excited for it. I think "King Rat" is the first or are they all separate novels?
I am more curious to see the show. If it is done properly it would be great. Just a story around the STALKERS in the Zone and the intrigues of living there and dealing with the creatures that live there. STALKER SofC is by far my favorite FPS shooter of all time. After playing WOW for a month and creating a lvl 63 undead fighter I tried a game of STALKER modded and I never played WOW again.
Funny you didn't get that karma I sent your way Louist. Thanks any more help would be great.
Hello Everyone. I just finished reading a book called "The Way of Shadows" by Brent Weeks. It is part one of "The Night Angle Trilogy" and once I was a few chapters in it was a great read. Follows the life of a street urchin who becomes a "wetboy". An assassin of sorts, only better. Good story with some really interesting magic and great fight scenes all set in an East Asian setting. Now I am not a big fan of asian fantasy but this is pretty minimal in this book
Ok I have the game running now thanks to Louist. [e digicons]k1[/e] Anyone know how to change the resolution so I can run widescreen 1920 x 1080. I looked at the .cfg file and looked for .ini settings. Any help would be great. I found it under a folder called cfg [e digicons]:annoyed:[/e] go to you installation directory. mine is e:\Games\SilentStorm\cfg\ there you should see : autoexec.cfg &
GSC are thinking of making S.T.A.L.K.E.R. into a tv show. http://www.shacknews.com/onearticle.x/66421
Hello Everyone. Has anyone here played Silent Storm? Great tactical squad based rpg game. Possibly one of the best ever released for pc. Anyway has anyone ever gotten it to work on a 64bit operating system without reducing your RAM down to under 3 gig. You can do this but it is kinda annoying that you have to do this to play and then change it back and there is also the chance you may forget you left it at a lower amount of RAM and that could hurt playing other
I have three of the Omnibus Black Company books. They are alright but I found them hard to read because of his writing style. I enjoyed it but I did force myself to read through them. I would find someone you know who has read them and ask them their personal opinion of them. I wouldn't recommend them to just anyone. I have friends who like Steven Erickson but couldn't get through the Black Company books. (Steven Erickson says Glen Cooks "Black Company" novels were the greatest impact
Thanks for the reply Vonotar82. I am definitely gonna check out China Mieville soon. I love hearing about peoples books and why the recommend them. Gonna have a nice list of new reading material to pickup when I get the chance.
You should read the way of kings Froggy. It has a world that has been destroyed by magic and all sorts of stuff. Storms rage across the world and that is where the energy for life and some kinds of magic comes from. Also it has lots of fighting, philosophy, and heroics. Great read.
I will be reading it Frogboy very very soon. I have heard good things so far. Thanks for the reply.
Just finished the "Way of Kings" and it is really good. It started off slow and most of the book focused on 2-3 story arcs but there are a few chapters that actually only deal with different arcs that must be explained in the upcoming sequels. Anyone who has read The Mistborn Trilogy are in for a treat because the magic is alot the same in the way one of the characters are able to move about and things they can do. Like his previous writing he looks at stories and writes outside tradi
That is a big part of their problem. They didn't listen and instead released a game way before they should have and it didn't in anyway resemble what they said they based it on. I am wondering if they are just asking opinions so people think they are contributing, when in fact they aren't listening to us.(Hope I am wrong). I remember Brad had a thread asking everyone what they liked about MOM but the only thing E:WOM has in common with MOM is it is a fantasy world.
I think there is a lot needing to be changed and it should have to do with game play rather than "lore". I would be much happier if they went the way of the Civ games or Mom for city management and expansion and building. Make every single piece of land have an impact on your city but still have nodes a bonus plots for food and production, gold, mana, research, etc.. As it stands it seems like they used the poor city building (where you have to micromanage every building in a c
Also your children and there children are much stronger than you will ever be. The can regen in combat but the most powerful person in the kingdom becomes quickly outclassed. In Elemental as your blood dilutes it actually does the opposite and becomes many times stronger.
The whole city building and management needs to be re-thought. As it stands it makes little to no sense that there is no food anywhere besides plots of land that grow all of one kind of plant. Oceans are dead and rivers are non-existent. In any fantasy world there is food everywhere except for deserts, barren land, tundra and frozen wastes but in Elemental the whole world is a desert besides a few plots of land that have bees or fertile ground. If this was done to support the lore it
