Keep up the good work.

I am waiting ti see if I get another one now. They already sent me an email telling me to keep the second box if one arrives. Guess I could keep it for 50 yrs and sell it as a collectors item. This copy was shipped on the 25th of August. Also another was shipped two weeks ago so I think there is another one on its way.
I just received my copy today in NB Canada. The postage on the box was $8.93 and didn't cost any extra. The box is huge by the way.
Yeah fertile rivers and river basins would be great. So many possibilities and it would add alot of depth to the game as well as making it feel more like a destroyed world. Even have magic or some form of research to be able to cross these chasms and fly up to the floating rocks in the sky.
You know all they might do is change future box art. Alot simpler.
It would be great to have maps that have giant chasms across them. Or have different elevations of land like after an earthquake. Or possibly land that is floating around in the sky because the cataclysm has changed gravity in spots. Have towers of stone (like Devil's Tower) in the middle of an otherwise flat piece of land. We need volcanoes and strips of land that is covered in magma and vast oceans. Would be nice to have rivers and the ability to use them like roads to go inland or
Same has been happening to me also.
That is a terrible price to pay. $84 for a broken game.
Fix the city building aspect of the game. Get rid of it, rebuild it, or just change it. The city building aspect is the biggest downfall so far fo me with this game. Tile caps and POP caps need to go and they are both unrealistic and bad. Change the food production so every piece of land can grow food except for desert ,tundra and mountains but still have fertile lands that give a significant bonus. Remove the need for placing houses. Cities will grow all the time but have the option
The real problem was we were doing ALPHA testing while they were telling us it was a BETA. What they released is an actual BETA and not the end game. I remember people saying it wont look like a BETA from Blizzard is they were focusing on the game at its core (paraphrasing) all the while it was an ALPHA version. Alot needs to be fixed and changed before it is released like cities. I hate the city building part of this game. This whole point kills it for me with all the attention focus
Mine was shipped on the 26th of August. Still no game yet in NB.
Great!!!
I agree somewhat RavenX. I like the idea of more troops and a better tactical system but right now there are so many other problems with the game that this should sit on the back burner until all the other issues are cleared up. The city building has to be changed to a system more focused on empire building and not city building.Get rid of city spamming, building caps, lvls, and population caps. Instead of lvls have the ability to build either one type of building so we can get
The sovereign should be the most powerful unit in the game or the possibility to become the strongest. His children should be weaker not stronger and he should have mana regen in combat and on the overland map. The sovereign should be able to influence battle that he isn't in eventually. This could be done by learning complex spells or building special buildings. By the end game he should be like a god with the ability to influence his empires farthest reaches. He should have
I have read almost every book by Gemmel. His older stuff is hard to find though they have been re-publishing them for a few years now. I like the "Troy" series and it was well written and was much better than the Hollywood Movie version of the legend. His books are a good solid read right through from beginning to end. I really like "Echoes of the Great Song" and "Dark Moon". I recommend him to anyone as it is easy to get into and is alot of fun to read about the heroes as well as the
Right now Elemental isn't complete but I will not brag a game up because of promises (lots were already made and not kept) and because there might be Mods. I haven't followed the development of Civ5 like I did E:WOM but I am pretty sure it will be more polished right out of the box than Elemental was. Until they come through with their "promises" they mean nothing and are nothing. When Elemental finally gets polished I will sing its praises like I did during the BETA(was an Al
Still not here. Maybe tomorrow or the next day..... or next week.. Maybe the game will be patched to a point where it isn't a BETA when I receive mine :) Maybe not though :(
Ok thanks for the replies.
Does this version still require DOSBox to run or can you run it from windows by clicking on a shortcut. I have the DOSBox version now.
sholland if you notice my name the Druss parts comes from "Druss the Legend" I agree David Gemmel was the best heroic fantasy author ever. Was very sad to hear that he died. I have alot of his books but my favorite series of his was the "Rigante" Series. He doesn't really do anything new but he can write some pretty amazing stuff which always has an emotional impact. Skilgannon was a great hero/anti-hero. I have one of his Jon Shannow books and wish I could find all of
It was alright. I have read "The Red Wolf Conspiracy" by Robert V.S. Redick and I enjoyed it. Will get the next book in the series.
Can't wait for Civ5. Bored to death of Elemental.
I for one am not paying any more fees for the game. Cost way to much for what we got and has taken way too long. I was under the impression that you would get it next to the same time frame as released in the box stores and not have to pay a whole lot extra for it. The extra cost from ordering it from Stardock should pay the customs fees and I was led to believe that is what it was for. I have been pretty quiet about the whole thing but the game isn't what they said it would be and th
Thanks for the replies Zorastra and jaythewise. My reading tastes blend in with both of yours quite well with the exception of David Eddings and Kate Elliot. David Farland's are built around a great concept of magic. I have read the first five or six in the "Runelords". I love his take on the magic side and for every plus there is a downside. The more powerful the more your people have to give to make you the way you are. I have been reading Glen Cook's books since I st
Too bad if they knew some got lost why didn't they use a better method to ship with? I still can't understand why they ddn't ship these things to arrive during the same week as the games release. Wouldn't be that hard.
