Eh, I guess I was thinking along the lines of Luchuirp enchanted golems with various magics ... :p (aka firebreathing) but yea, Overpower would be nice, but I wonder if adding Overpower should require extra cost ... (probably) ---> like its an optional trait that you can add, but its gonna be more expensive to build/maintain. (instead of adding it as the default and making all golems more expensive)
Tasunke
aye ... I tend to find that Archery research costs are more expensive than Crystal resource requirements. Not sure if the Archery tech needs to be a bit cheaper or what, maybe its just my playstyle :p I appreciate that the macro gameplay seems a bit slow in order to allow your adventures to matter a bit more (or perhaps its due to my slow playing ... I only had 2 cities for half the game) ---> but yea, you can pick a variety of playstyles ... I guess you coul
I think having the path trees listed somewhere in the Hiergamemnon would both alleviate some concerns of early players, as well as highlight the "lack of a 'tree'" as you say.
Are mounted archers better at some task than mounted mages? Or is the benefit of archers more the cost-to-benefit ratio (aka no crystal needed)
I should think Iron Golems should be Immune to Crits by design. Is this not the case? (should be). Anyways, perhaps a few choices for the Golems then .. (Like 1 equipable 'Skill' slot during creation). choice 1: Hurl Boulder choice 2: dual wielding (can carry a second weapon in the shield arm, will NOT have an accuracy penalty as its a frikken golem) choice 3: fire breath (expensive) choice 4: Many arms (with claws) --> VERY EX
I like Steam, because for me, it IS digital distribution, and I like digital distribution. Technically I started up with Impulse but when I learned it wasn't Stardock anymore I got away from it.
Yea, 'gamestop' owned Impulse is a pain to deal with, at least from a customer's perspective.
I don't like the 'idea' of steam, but lately I've begun to use it daily. At least for me, it seems the most reliable Digital Download distrubitor to date. After the shift in Impulse ownership, my old laptop had troubles reaching the Impulse servers ... and now I am currently locked out of my Impulse account due to a new security initiative. So yea, as far as this sad, sad state of affairs when it comes to gaming, Steam is the better of the various poisons (bett
Sounds like a cool mod.
I encourage everyone to support FE on all fronts when it comes to review sites ... with the full disclaimer that I likely won't be doing so, at least not until I've played 1.0 for more than 1 full game, tried some custom options, and tried a few of the pre-desig maps compared to the random maps.
I think that it was unnecessarily harsh.
Perhaps once you take Axe Focus 1, you don't get offered Focuses for the other weapons? (Sort of like a railroaded secondary path as a subset of the Warrior class)
Hmm, probably if we saw a merging of the weapon spec traits and the lethal traits ... hmm. example. Axe Focus 1 (+25% damage with axes) Axe Focus 2 (+2 initiative with Axes) Axe Focus 3 (+2 defense with Axes) Axe Lethality 1 (+2 attack with Axes) Axe Lethality 2 (+3 attack with Axes) Axe Lethality 3 (+4 attack AND +1 initiative with Axes) Axe Lethality 4 (+5 attack with Axes) Axe Lethality 5
Ah, kk. Hmm, but what about the Spiders you can make with Wraith's spider trait? Shouldn't that trait allow you to buy spider mounts?
Perhaps adventurer's guild should give better exp ... and/OR what I've been saying. Certain 'administrative' buildings should give passive exp to Governor builds (while he is present in the city)
I would love if some units could be combined with others, although I think it'd probably take a lot of code work on the dev side of things unfortunately, as I haven't heard anyone say its possible to mod it in :( For instance ... a single Dragon merges with a champion. The champion is now riding that dragon. Perhaps this dragon-riding champion now merges with a unit of spearmen. He is now that unit's "commander" In case of Mount+Champion, movement sp
Quoting seanw3, reply 6I will go for that because spiders don't have knees. Or they could have 48 knees if you define it loosely as a leg joint. There used to be a spider-riding lady called Nosmia and she had a bug (no pun intended) where she would regenerate after death and keep coming back. Then I would kill her again for experience. It was a thing we had. I haven't seen her in-game
SPIDER bears and SPIDER dragons!
Spider Dragons would awesome ;)
I don't think there is any reason to actively attack/inhibit MP ... especially since we have heard that ~30% of the budget went to dedicated virtual servers. I DO think that at this point, features and stability should be the focus of current in-progress DLC. (assuming that DLC work started after release, of course) I mean it could just be my computer, but the game tends to have shaky stability at best, and disappearing oceans at worst. I've also noticed
yea. I think originally he was path of the assassin-> in fitting with the Urxen's current traits. I could still see him as a warrior/defender though. Especially since at first he was a Warlord before he was a Beastlord (at least in name, iirc) --> if warrior has traits that give army buffs, then probably warrior ;) (although defender is nice because it lets him be more likely to survive to get near a beast so that he can convert it ... assuming thats the way
Regen being strategy only is fine I suppose. A bit surprised that Courage is now only used on Champions ... but I guess it was needed to bring life on par to death magic in terms of utility.
I like cloak of the mage tho, just found it (-15% mana cost). Pretty nice.
possibly Beastlord defender? I could really see almost any path for him tho (except perhaps Governor)
Hmm. I could see Warrior with a +1 HP per level. Defender is +2 HP per level yes?
Now if golems could get extra trait slots for extra production cost, they could be pretty neat. to OP for the lol!
heh, do you mean by exactly adding extra arms for extra weapons? :D I feel like adding Overpower may be a more elegant boost, but certainly a cool idea ;)
ah yes, I remember this ... Yes, I think Overpower would fit Golems nicely (to make up for, in part, of its lack of extra arms/weapons)
