I have VERY different ideas about Trogs vs Urxen societies. In fact I'd almost call them opposites (while Resolyn is pretty left field, almost out of the ball park). Not for certain about the Kraxis (hence the might). Once I have all the other Fallen races down (in the thread) I might specify more on Resolyn Fallen relations ... but for now I think I'll come up with a simple analogy :) Fallen Empires -> useful if annoying cou

Probably the most fun on a large map with World difficulty cranked up to near max, most AI's on challenging, 2 AIs on hard and one on rediculous. (and I agree, a Comp Stomp)

Added the three Rots (or the three paths of action) that can lead to any caste member's "True Death" at the end of their current natural life. note that suicide is not mentioned among these rots. This is because 'suicide' (or the premature ending of a cycle) is not permitted until all OTHER life on the planet is extinguished first. All it would do is send you to your next cycle, and to a lower caste at that (possibly even as one of those slinking races of men :p). Doomed t

well yea we could gloss over the whole "punishment murder thing", much like people usually gloss over crucifixion when going into Roman lore. Its like its 'there', it just doesn't have to be mentioned a whole lot ... Point is, people cross the Dying Dust (or get caught performing heresy of any kind) and they end up going into their next life a bit 'early' ;) I had this in my 'source lore' notebook I've been

Yes I think there is some form of lore. However usually lore tends to be collaborative. Therefore I feel inclined to add my own chapters to the lore, if possible. And as I feel Mr. Wardell has more of a feel on the Kingdoms of men, perhaps I can add my 2 cents to the Fallen races.

The Urxen: Highly Populous, Social Order, the Greater Good. Social Hierarchy based on family size. The Urxen society if focused on familial loyalty. A proper urxen is loyal to one's parents primarily, and then by extension they are loyal to the tribe/the state. There is placed emphasis on the g

Quendar: Magical and Educated slavers Magnar is the rightful heir to the throne of Curgen. He was collecting slaves before the state of Yithril was even in its infancy. The Quendar are the true slave masters, and have the magics to back the claim. there were remnants of men in the east, after the Cataclysm. Kraxis were not the first men to build civilizations here. The Mighty Trogs. Warrior Kings. These brave warriors consider themselves to be among the 'best of the fallen'. They may not have the pedigree of Magnar or Resolyn, or the history of Umber, but Trogs are a forward thinking people. The trogs are all about progress and rationalism. But instead of self education, they consider themselves as the logical next stage of fallen evolution.

Warlord -> +50% exp for units in the Sovereign's Stack Adventurer -> Sov does not count as a Champion for purposes of Exp. (Can have an extra Champion friend for free) Assassin -> +10 to critical chance, +10 personal accuracy. (however, if there is no assassin weapon/trait that makes criticals ignore armor, then instead of +10 personal accuracy, it should add +5 personal accuracy and have crits ignore armor)

Ah I see. I thought you meant a true dragon with wings as well ;) --> and there are a few true dragons in game, yet the only ones I found were under the command of Waerloga the Dragon Lord. (btw Waerloga the Dragon lord as an endgame boss is pretty ... AWESOME!!)

Yes. Personal quests (individual for each Champion or Champion type) would be nice. Perhaps a Champion that completes their personal quest gets an extra special perk/trait? Even Valkyria chronicles did this, and that is an FPS. Well technically a JTPS. (Japanese third person shooter) Also, generic 'hard quests' that allow you to go out of your way in order to help heal a champ's injuries ... that would be nice. (and not a lame potion that heals all injuries, but a

See ddd888, Asymmetric balance is more easy to, well, 'balance' in Single Player. (assuming good AI of course). For instance, Fall From Heaven is an awesome game to play due to how different the factions play. GRANTED the AI is pretty bad and their are some obvious exploits ... but just because you pick a 'good civ' that is synergetic with the Mapscript you like and your playstyle, you don't have to use exploits. Asymmetric balance adds much

Indeed. Having units placed poorly certainly detracts from tactical battles, and in my opinion is the MOST PRESSING issue when it comes to tactical battles. In my list of priorities I had Tactical battles at a 45/50. If unit positioning (before battle) was implemented, It would tone down the need for work on Tactical battles all the way to a 20/25.

I really like option 2. (perhaps due to suggesting some of it myself ... xD) We should all (imho) start with a basic weapon selection (of albeit inefficient weapons), and a basic economy. -> Personally I'm not sure if (early-armor) is needed, but for us to consider it we should formulate some type of justification. What comes to mind is Apprentice Chain and Apprentice Plate.

agreed. If concription and Weak were re-boosted (placed back as they were, maybe even a little better) yet had HARDLY ANY impact on unit maintenance ... it would be golden. -> Therefore, if you are in trouble you can quickly conscript some troops, but you still have to PAY for them, so you would quickly disband them (return them to the city) when they are not needed. (perhaps the turn after the next 'good unit' is built) I like this option, as it adds

Just wait it out. If FE is a success ... and if they implement MP ... then buy all the FE you want :) However, for now just wait and see.

Truly, the design team needs to get on this ;) (while its kind of nice that we get to make our own units for Factions ... for the most part they should ALREADY be competent ;))
